HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMLIELEVATORS!!!! Yes, today JimLiElevators just turned 21 years old, and to celebrate, we have these AMAZING, COMPLETELY ORIGINAL, 1972 Otis VIP 260 Circle Touch Sensitive Elevators to ride!!!! And man do they go super fast!!!!! ESPECIALLY Car 1 which I ride later in the video!!!! These launch like ROCKETS and STOP HARD, and going down they DROP LIKE ROCKS, LIKE TOWER OF TERROR!!!! This 19 story building opened in 1972, and many buildings from this time have been heavily renovated. NOT THIS ONE!!! And plus the elevator system is ORIGINAL too, INCLUDING the REAL WOOD Cabs!!!!! The Parking Elevators were modded and I didn't both filming them, and maybe like 3 offices were renovated but other than that this building (and it's elevators) remain COMPLETELY ORIGINAL and UNTOUCHED from 1972!!!! The Art on the elevator doors was cool too!!! These all also have the Classic Otis Door Operator hum and EPIC Mechanical Otis Bells, and are nearly in MINT CONDITION!!!!! These are somewhat similar to the Pinnacle, but the cabs are original on these unlike those, these go FASTER, and they are MUCH MORE RELIABLE!!! And hopefully these don't get modded EVER!!!!! With that all being said, let's ride these AMAZING Elevators in this Amazing Building and Happy Birthday Jim!!!!

Looks gorgeous! Always nice to see buildings like this that are time warps to the 1950s, 1960s, & 1970s. A renovation of the building &/or a modernization of the elevator would completely ruin the vintage essence. Definitely an epic example of an elevator system. Also, happy birthday to JimLiElevators!

The late 1960s/'70s ascetics are off the chart in this place! I'm loving it!

@@bcferriesman1438 Sadly I do not know of any in Vancouver unfortunately.... Seattle and Victoria still have buildings with them, but i don't think Vancouver does anymore

What does the level "M" stand for in this elevator?

Here is a place that has the perfect example of 1960s/'70s brutalist/sci-fi futuristic reject architecture at its height! You just don't see that many buildings these days that are built out of completely solid concrete nowadays!

You should take a ride on these if you come.
Careful, too many trips on these elevators can give you motion sickness! I got sick for a while because one time I took over 20 trips on those lol.
