Old comment but what bugs me the most about bleeds is that Jages knows there is a problem with them, refuses to fix it and releases new content focused ON them. Masterwork spear, Ezzk, new wands etc. Not only that but if the nerf to the blood reaver is what I think it is, then its because of the interaction with bleeds that its happening. Instead of fixing a problem at the core they will try to deal with the outcomes until it becomes so obvious that there is a problem even with there head in the sand they can see it. FSoA is a example of this anyone with a brain could see the issue with recuring hits at release but they wanted it to work that way and then proceeded to keep it in that state for a age while doing work arounds on all other abilities.
I did not know how armor rating actually worked. I did know power armor did not add damage reduction however I did not realize it was what mobs roll against to see if they miss. I do wonder if this is out dated? Did mobs hit chance change to damage potential as well? If so wouldn't that mean it was damage reduction just not a flat bonus buff as shown on tank armor?
This is how armor worked since the beginning, even pre-eoc. You can still max hit on insanely high defense but the odds of hitting are low so the odds of rolling a high hit are low. For example, if you were PKing, you had a 15% chance on hitting on full DH, then its a chance of hitting, lets say, a 1-50.
I always thought tank armour gave you more defense bonus. The way you explained it makes sense. Weird that auras don't work with ds/ss. Does they work with berserk? Pep is now my favorite character :)
Finally a video that explains why armour should your last upgrades accordi g to other pvmers that just say "never upgrade armour over weapons" but mever elaborated
if i understand the armor right, the tank armors damage reduction effect is the accuracy the npc has on you the same way it shows a % next to their hp when you hit them. This lowers the max hit the npc can have on you but the damage is further reduced by your total armor rating.
That's not quite right. Prior to the combat update, all that accuracy meant was that you had a chance to hit the target. If you hit them, you dealt full damage. If you rolled a miss, then your attack splashed. The combat update changed accuracy to the current damage potential system, *but only for the players*. NPC's still calculate damage based off of the old system. That's the reason that the darkness incantation doesn't work at Solak, Ambassador, or Rasial, because those bosses don't check accuracy.
@@JoFo-cl6rois it really true that darkness doesnt work on ambassador? Im a returning player so this vid was all new to me. Is there any other bosses or other mobs it doesn’t work at?
@@xAzrael_ Even though it's not working on those bosses, it's worth noting that it works on all the adds they spawn. So if you have trouble with those bosses, 20% additional dodge chance for each hit of their minions might still be worth for the couple of runes
i've been playing so long very few things are new/s to me, but the last tick of sunshine etc stacking i hadn't heard about. not that i use magic much, but yeah good to see something more obscure i didn't know about =)
There's no simple way to account for that except by assuming an extremely oversimplified and restricted scenario, unfortunately. The overall principle is that your total armour rating is proportional to your defence level and the tier of your armour, and NPC attacks against you must beat a contest roll of their offensive stat + "weapon" accuracy vs your total armour rating with all buff modifiers and Affinity (combat triangle bonus/penalty) modifier applied. I could go very exact on it, but it would be *even* longer than this and not really useful unless you do a lot of mathematics daily already.
Bleeds Definitely need a re-work on how many ppl can stack em... Hopefully it increases to 2 mage users (example) to use corruption blast or whatever other style/ability being used 😊. This also proves that upgrading power armor (example going from t80 to t90) is pointless considering the damage reduction is identical AND the damage bonus is extremely minimal
The interaction between damage boosting ultimates and zerker auras is so stupid lol. I knew about it, but haven't used anything other than necro since release so forgot hot janky the other styles are.
I don't really agree with not getting LOTD as early as possible as almost nothing else short of getting a high archeology skill and unlocking the relic for T4 luck would offer a potential drop of HSR, and by that time you could have easily farmed tons of things with GOTE, and still have a chance for HSR. Can't tell you how upsetting it would be to get Cheesetom bc I wasn't wearing LOTD, and every time I see a non-ironman player running only t3 luck with GOTE, I am deeply disturbed. That's just my view though. Most people counter with the argument that it's insanely rare but that's still better odds than literally impossible. Would suck to miss 6b just because you wanted to save a few mil. Especially considering that it IS one of the rarest drops. All the more reason not to cut your own throat on the chance to get one.
Lotd is not 1% it reduces the denominator by 1 so if its a 1/5k drop its much less than 1% the 1/10 drops of phylactery and hermod plates are 10% boost bc 1/9 vs 1/10.
5:56 the dumbest shit Jagex ever done. You cannot convince me this game doesn't have the worst combat system ever. Bleed and zerk aura doesn't stack with DS and Ss, armour rating doesnt give damage reduction, ability being basic attack. Like how tf can someone even design these? And what worse is that, this doesn't mention in the game at all. The least they can do is be transparent. The tooltip even said "increase range damage by 1.5x". This give the same vibe as "we will bring inverted skillcape back". Jagex scammy behaviour really shown in their game lol.
IMPORTANT NOTE: please see that when they both used frag shot their hitsplat increased in dps. this either shows the most powerful will take over or that they will combine the dps as u saw his friend was getting credit for the damage. Also note he only left in the bloopers to make the video over 10mins due to a lack of things to talk about.
Great info I didn’t know about darkness. In reply to @leitm3912 from @jofo-cl6ro. I hope it’s in your next video @Init Yeah I don’t recall it from others iv seen.
I was aware of all of them, but I'm an RS dinosaur at this point. RS armour handling is just weird, and bleeds need a lot of work.
They will def be looking into bleeds soon (read as next decade).

No mobs still miss only players can't miss now

Worth mentioning is that the stat boost from zerker auras still increases your damage inside ultimates, which is around +3-4% compared to no aura

At the gate of elidinis you can manually throw the shards at the boss to finish a kill (or to kill the whole thing if youre crazy)

If I recall, you can technically still miss... I believe if your hitchance is lower than 2% or 5% I forget the new threshold they set
Shoutout to pep
appreciate the comic relief provided by pep

All good info here thanks 🙏
I already knew how armor worked as damage avoidance instead of damage reduction, but I want to know how much it effect it.

Luck of the dwarfs is good if you do slayer clues. not only bosses. So depends on what you do.

I got a question could you do a video on bosses for f2p players please all the other ones I seen where for members only
That means attack stat for accuracy is most important for dmg

How dare a RUclipsr extend a video to 10 minutes so they can be paid for the job they do.
I bought LOTD for the tele to GE ngl.
