Try to aim
Higher, higher
Thirteen hours
Further, wider, higher
Open air
Slow down
Wind down
Try to aim
Higher, further, slower
Heavens opened
Sun and doldrums
Blots out everything
Blots out everyone
Heavens opened
Sun and ocean
Upstairs
Heavens opened
Came down
Heavens opened
Fell open
So they seldom sleep
But were often tired
And the fault was mine
Sky was very wide
Across the fault line
Carried clean away
Darkened grass and landmarks
Carry through till morning
Stay awake
Stay awake

Did an open chair today for my Dad, lost him in 97. Even Counsellor was overwhelmed, told me afterwards to look out for signs, take comfort. This played from Algorithms. The lyrics, my first sign before I've even gone to sleep. Thankyou ❤
Love this. It doesn’t sound like anything you’ve done before and it’s all the better for it! Gorgeous.
Agree. Electra sounded very generic PSB. This doesn't.
This is exceptional.
Lovely and intriguing.
Can't wait to hear the whole project in it's entirety. 🛩️
The string arrangement on this gives me You + Me vibes, and that's a great thing because Every Valley was bloody fantastic!
Absolutely bravo. What a generous and thoughtful musical homage to a tremendous woman. Terrific tribute to Amelia.
Literally moved to tears. Beautiful sumptuous arrangement and some very nimble descending chords towards the end. I love this.
This band just keep on getting better .
It’s so dreamy and beautiful. 😍
Been listening to this since day one and it just gets more beautiful each day. Not PSB's normal sound but very much like Every Valley which gets better with each listen.
Powerful, emotional and hugely compelling. PSB go places others just don’t. A modern masterpiece.
Gorgeous arrangement and vocal from Kate (This Is The Kit) 👌
Glorious! Magical. Beautiful. A perfect new sound from PSB...🙏
Wow, wow, WOW!!!!!
Incredible, such depth and richness in the music
such an amazing song - it's been on repeat for large chunks of the day
That is lovely. Nice change of pace from Electra.
Can’t wait to listen in context. Check out This is The Kit if you like the vocal.
Gorgeous ! What a departure what a look ! We'll done
Beautiful
That. Was. MAGNIFICENT!
I love the way you take a momentous occasion that has become a historical relic or a page in a book and bring it to life. You take what’s generally been regarded as an event of significance but in many ways underplayed by dry reporting or simplistic acceptance of a milestone of achieving something that was just a thing on a timeline and bring it to life with an element of wonder and humanity - you show us again that these things were achieved by someone with vision, tenacity, hope, fear, bravery and all of the fantastic qualities that make us explorers of wonder. In these times of division and violence it’s great to hear through the negativity and revisit the beauty of those wonderful pioneers.. you should play this music out over the top of the riots and maybe subliminally the Neanderthal spirit of the violence and ignorance could be rebutted or mitigated.. hey i am a dreamer.. gotta dream but thanks to you i get to re dream past events be great to re imagine future stories and influence them.. love your work x
Once again pushing the envelope of musical genius.
Just wonderful. What great vocals! 😮
Superb vocals, as always from this extraordinary lady.
I liked that, very much. Thank you PSB.
Such a great atmoshpere
Sublime. Loved it. Many thanks
I couldn’t love this more. Astounding work!!
What is this. It's like having my favourite cake with cream on the top!!!
Beautiful just beautiful 👏 i adore that 'Duane Eddy' twang coming through. The whole thing washes over you like a cool breeze.
Your mum has good taste in music. 💙
I like this new sound 🎶✨
This is beautiful.
Beautiful. Love it!
obsessed
Such emotion
Refreshing change. Not that I mind anything PSB has done so far...
My Stars!! Magnificent
Its a new PSB song. It can't be wrong
Thank you
Great stuff! Anyone else notice there's not a single shot of the sea in this video?
Gorgeous.
Another pivot on the musical path when straight ahead was easy, you’ve chosen to go left field again. As much as it implies flight, I’m getting wonderful notes of “the wicker man” from it 😍
Damn! Just saw that this track is getting some great radio support on KUHS-LP in Hot Springs, USA.
Superb
I started reading Jonathan Livingston Seagull to the kids just the other night. 🥰
Love this 💙💙💙
Reminds me of Maybeshewill or Message to Bears. Love it!
Flowers!!!
Lol ❤
Briliiant! Just love it! Heavens open.. Not sure of I get the total meaning though.
Heavens opened means heavy rain 🌧️
Gorgeous. The opening bars remind me of Water of Love by Dire Straits...
wooooooo
Nice departure.
I liked Electra, but it made me a little sad how similar it sounded to their earlier works. However, this is so different, so beautiful, so magical, and at the same time so PSB. It was exactly what I was hoping for from you. What a great piece.
That's how the Portuguese was weaved in!
Lost my mind when I saw Kate was on the record. This is perfect.
Very different to previous recordings, but nice
Electra is unmistakably PSB; this track is.....Dido? Maybe Enya? Lovely song, but not PSB for me. Still, I have every album of theirs thus far, and will buy 'The Last Flight' as soon as it's out. Perhaps this track will grow on me.......................
Ngl this made me think "please stick to playing with soundbites, guys" - kinda shitty wanting an experimental band not to experiment but this is just the kind of flat indie pop everyone else was making when PSB were making Spitfire - hopefully its a blip
Not for me, sorry. I very much prefer when there is no singing in your music, not saying this isn't a great voice but it doesn't separate you from many others, some will like, just not me this time. I've heard some other tracks on the Album which I like so most likely to add this to my collection when released.
Before they are much originals... now is like other band
Let them cook
I understand where you're coming from, but this track is (to me) a big improvement on Electra, which felt a bit like PSB by numbers.
They have a tricky balance to strike between keeping a trademark sound and evolving. While this track is a big departure from their signature sound, I'm hopeful it will sit nicely in the album alongside more typically PSB-sounding tracks.
Totally disagree. This is such a narrow minded opinion. PSB have used vocals previously. Obviously they have a fairly unique and distinctive approach to their sound, but there's nothing wrong with diversifying occasionally. This sounds great 👍
"I've heard some other tracks on the Album which I like.." Interesting. Do you mean the new album? What tracks have you heard apart from this and Electra?
Beautiful-the singing, chord changes… I love this new track, and that you are always developing new focuses and narratives.
Beautiful
