I thought Mercedes Actross would be the most comfortable to sleep and drive in
Absolutely horrible truck that is. I don't know how the new model is, if they've fixed the gearbox issues or improved the comfort but I know on the outside is still ugly 🤪 The old model was so bad in many ways. Some people like it but it's not for me 🫣
Really enjoy your videos Floz why don't you get a full-time job have your own truck everyday a wee home from home instead of that agency shit they don't care as long as the wheels are turning they are happy keep up the good work 👏

I kind of enjoy the freedom to work when I want and it's good money too, no company will pay what I get with the agency and they're quite good with me too. How is it sleeping in the cab? Is the fridge noisey?
In the beginning, it can be a bit noisy, but I got used to it and quite enjoyed it 😂 not everyone can get used to the noise though
Couldn't you have taken your 45 mins break on the bay at Asda Avonmouth and made up some time back for yourself. Great video by the way
I could theoretically but not legal. Legally you cannot take a break whilst in the bay waiting to be tipped (I do it sometimes though 🙈) I didn't show it in this vlog but I had some major issues with the lift deck not working as some pins were stuck. That was the main reason I didn't take a break not gonna lie I do brake the law sometimes and take breaks while tipped 😁 Thanks for watching Geraint 😀
I didn't realise it was illegal to take a break on a bay while being tipped I was under the impression if you was in the cab waiting while the load was being unloaded by the warehouse staff you could legally take a break for example by taking a nap on the bunk,reading a book,or editing your vlogs 👍
Yeah DVSA doesn't like that. It is classed as POA (Period of Availability) if you're waiting to be tipped but if you do any work during this time (i.e. opening curtains or doing the straps or like I was trying to fix the problem with the lift deck) you have to switch to "other work" on tachograph. POA is not classed as break or work and doesn't count towards your daily/weekly working hours either but IT IS PAID 😁. That's how you can actually "work" for example 70h a week but POA is actually reducing your weekly working hours so you stay legal. It's a bit more complicated that that but as a general explanation I hope it's clear enough 😁

Hi James, thanks for watching 😀 Yes I have delivered there many times. I've got vlogs where I deliver there. Very big place and always getting first bay or second and then walk all the way to bay 86 😂😂😂 They should put a shuttle service in there 😜

Enjoying the vlogs👍 im starting class 1 training soon - will eventually be on fridge work which i think will be a good way to start hopefully! Newb question but do the RDC's have facilities you can use and im presuming you still get paid as usual while you are waiting to be tipped as it looks this can take hours sometimes?
Hi Jon, thanks for watching 😀 Yes RDC's are required to have facilities available for drivers, in fact every place that you deliver to should have facilities. Not all make it easy accessible. You'll find some places are really clean and some are not worth risking your health 🤦♂️ but in general is ok. On your second question in my case I do not get paid for breaks as I'm working through an agency and that's what I've agreed in my contract but I use a lot of POA (Period of Availability) if I'm waiting to be tipped and that is paid by the agency. Usually when you're salaried with a company they don't care about how much break you use during your shift as long as you take your legally required breaks and you'll be paid for everything. So if you don't get paid breaks you need to be more careful about how much break you take during your shift but you still need to be legal. Hope that makes sense 😁 if there's anything you want me to clarify let me know.

Another good vid Floz, u saying about them pins that go over the trailer wheels, good idea, I've had many driver pull off with me still in the in the trailer, in my younger days luckly I didn't fall out the back. Took ages for our company to take keys off drivers, take care skin!!!

Yes Tom, usually when refilling the unit you refill the fridge trailer too or whenever is needed as they don't have a large tank
