Wow congratulations on being the first to do a reaction to death wish 2👍
Thanks..enjoy
My thoughts exactly. It's one of my favorites, but nobody will touch it.
@@footofjuniper8212 weird 😯 because I'm enjoyed it. Enough to keep watching the rest
@@FlixTalk I was in my teens when it was on cable, and I guess I was just attracted to the raw brutality of it. The ferocity of their crimes was met with Bronson's unyielding and merciless justice. I saw this one before part one, and was always a little let down that he never got his revenge against Goldblum and his cohorts. By the way, if you haven't seen the 2018 remake with Bruce Willis, it's worth a look.
@@footofjuniper8212- Yes I agree. The remake of Death Wish with Bruce is pretty good.
This is my favourite Death Wish. DW3 is my second favourite.
Glad you watched part 2. Definitely watch 3 & 4 next.
the scene where the black dude approaches him and says gimme 5 dollas lookin like he was gonna breakdance..someone wrote one of the funniest comments i've seen "the first death wish was amazing. This is the third installment where charles fights janet jackson's backup dancers" Lol
Wow, I saw this in the theater when I was 10... Bronson was one of the best.
The orderly at the hospital that let Bronson go also played the the sheriff in Halloween 1 (1978) & Halloween II (1981).
Holy crap...you're absolutely right! I remember him now
So happy you reacted to this, it’s a classic!
But this doesn’t prepare you for Death Wish 3 lol.
If Death wish 1+2 are like gta story mode, then Death wish 3 is like being in gta online. 😂
Could you imagine if Charles Bronson's Death Wish crossed over to Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry??? No more bad guys!!
Haha that would be bad ass. A series I need to continue as well
Best content on the Tube right now !! More Bronson please !!!🙏🏻
I completely forgot to say… There is a Death Wish game that came out for the C64 and Zx spectrum. Death wish 3.
The blonde woman was played by Charles Bronson's real life wife, Jill Ireland.
This was directed by Michael Winner flix. He was quite the character himself.
Great reaction vid. Still a shocking movie.
Great reaction dude....although I appreciate the first Death Wish (1974), I enjoyed the 2nd one more (my own personal preference).
Yes please continue, Death Wish 3 Bronson goes into full Rambo mode (when you see the film, you'll know what I'm talking about, lol), Death Wish 4: The Crackdown reminds me of Yojimbo & Last Man Standing. And Death Wish V: The Face Of Death Bronson becomes Agent 47: The Hitman. What more is needed to be said?, it's Bronson kicking @$$. ✌️
Showing Emotion: when a person suffers from PTSD, appropriate emotions are never revieled!! I KNOW. Been there, done that.
he showed emotion through his fire arm lol
Charles Bronson AKA The Original Danny Trejo.
I grew up on the death wish sagas,I think the best one was death wish 3,check them all out in numbered order...just wanted to say it was Jeff Goldblums first role in number 1 where he played the attacker in the apartment.
Great Movie Dude!!!!
You have to understand Paul is a product of his time. Men don't show emotion. Men seek justice . Men get the job done. Now they call that toxic masculinity. We just called it being male in the 70s and 80s. Yes yes yes to 3
I can understand that. I felt so bad for the horrific life of the daughter . She basically committed suicide
@@FlixTalk that's why Death Wish movies are the rare watch for me. I love em but it takes yrs to recover and I can handle any other movies. But if the scenes weren't so realistic they wouldn't have the impact they do. Definitely do 3-5 even as a personal watch
You gotta remember something Flixy...and this is true for younger people that don't know...the 70's and 80's were rough. Crime was off the charts in the big cities. Serial killers DID operate out of old flop houses like that one. You had actual riots, standoff's and gang wars, and in Chicago, LA, NYC, and Miami...there were places that cops wouldn't go. They couldn't go, really. There were serious hardcore crimes & sprees that will never be uncovered, because nobody really knew. Movies like these were in response to that.
Totally understand. Flixy lol that made me laugh
Yep,..I remember those days in NYC.
@@groothewanderer3710 I was homeless for awhile in the mid90s and stayed in a place like that for $75 a week. Never killed anybody
@@stevenwoodward5923 HA! Thanks for that.
@@groothewanderer3710 That is what is really scary. Them days were really real, and people have forgot. I tell anyone that watches these types of movies...kids don't know nowadays. It's WAY nicer now than back then. DO NOT take it for granted. It can go back that other way pretty dang easy. And you really do not want that.
Good to see you survived, Groo.
When I was a kid, I always wanted to go see Studio 54. Now I am kind of glad I did not. Bet it was cool though!
I like the homage to The Magnificent Seven with Bronson chopping wood. Very nice!
An interesting fact with Larry Fishburne being in this film , and Jeff Goldblum having been in the 1st Death Wish . in the early 90's both starred in a movie called Deep Cover . And as a tribute to both having played in a death Wish movie , they played a piece of this music at 10:08 in their film as well . Kind of cool
OoOOoO haven't seen Deep Cover....maybe I should
@@FlixTalk It's pretty good ..
Charles Bronson Is Legendary As Paul Kersey
The daughter knew that when she killed herself. Her father would be the Grim Reaper! Her Advenger!!!
Personally i like all of them, bit over the top at times but enjoyable. They did remake the original a few years back with Bruce Willis
The blond woman was his real life wife
Yes, Jill Ireland. She was in a lot of Bronson's movies.
Jill Ireland his one true love. Married from 1968 til her death in 1990.
The first one is great and I think the second is it's equal. But I like the second a bit more because of the villains. That Kersey is hunting for these specific punks, not just any punk like the first one. And the bad guys are so colorful it's almost like their comic book characters.
You talked about the music it was performed and written by Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin
Yep he did the soundtrack for Death Wish II & 3. Director Michael Winter wanted him to do the music for these films because he was a good friend and his next door neighbor.
Great video. DW2 is a great movie. I have all 4 versions of this movie.
Don’t forget Death Wish 5. It’s okay 😄
This movie messes with me. My first girlfriend, first love was later with a piece of shit that got her hooked on heroin. They moved to LA. and he went to prison. And my Leigh disappeared. I spent five weeks searching the worst neighborhoods there. Everyone told me to give up but I didn't I found her in a filthy drug house. And got her out of there. I remember how hard she held on to me. She kept repeating I love you, and you found me. I took her home and put her in rehab.
Oh wow...that's a death wish story in itself lol that's very brave and strong of you to do that..I have a similar situation with an ex but with alcohol....it's a terrible but rewarding feeling getting someone you love sober
I know what you mean, when I watched this I was so pissed I was ready to chew through a tree branch
I am so glad you are continuing to react to the Death Wish films, this is the one that got me into the series as it happens, I remember getting it on VHS and being shocked by it, I then proceeded to go back and see the original and then 3 and The Crackdown which were good too though I don't remember much of the fifth one. 3 was definitely where this series peaked though and It would be amazing to see your reaction to that one.
I really hope you watch the other sequels - part 3 is notoriously crazy! Part 4 and 5 are junky fun, they turn into a comic book by that point. I also hope you watch the other Bronson 80s movies like Murphy's Law!
There's Another Charles Bronson Movie "10 To Midnight" I Think It's Called
Oh yeah that one's good. I reacted to it on the channel as well. Search for it
Death wish 3 gonna go crazyyy!!!
DW3 is bananas. You got to see it.
Do you believe in Jesus? You're gonna meet him
BEST LINE EVER
I just wish every line after that was as epic lol
Good reaction and commentary.👍 Happy that you enjoyed the flick. I also had to get use to Bronson's lack of emoting. I realized that when he's with loved ones in movies, he expresses a little more emotions, but when he dishes out street justice, he's a stone cold killer. His persona is definitely a throwback to when men didn't show emotions or vulnerability.
Batman wanted to avoid becoming Paul Kersey......... cue Jimmy Page guitar chord . WAAARRRNNNNNNNNN
I recommend The mechanic 💯
The Mechanic and Messenger Of Death are some more good Bronson flicks.
My favorite is Deathwish 3, Bronson was amazing.
The 3rd really is pretty good.
Yes, that's what I hear!
kersey was dexter morgan of the streets
I loved part 3 and part 4. Part 4 ( The Crackdown) is really good so I hope you do all 5. They are all good!
man, the original scenes were way worse...had to be cut..there is an uncut version somewhere...just can never find it...but i heard its extra disturbing
Music by Jimmy Page
imo
awesome movie Soundtrack
written and performed by
Jimmy Page - Zoso
Saw this in a theater. OK vigilante thriller. However, the scenes with his daughter are truly despicable and didn't have to be included.
I disagree. Motivation is pivotal to the revenge plot
@@FlixTalk It didn't have to be a character making the first steps toward recovery from a similar traumatic episode. The sequence literally sickened me in the theater.
I think that was the point. They wanted the audience to feel for his justification
@@FlixTalk By the way, you were lucky, because, from what I could tell, you were watching the more widely available trimmed-down version. The uncut version had longer and more unpleasant r**e scenes, which I assume is what @chriscma1 might've seen. (The daughter's death was also more graphic, with a close-up shot of her hitting the fence, blood coming out of her mouth.)
Bruce Willis play in reboot
Are you aware that Jimmy Page did the soundtrack ?
So sorry but he started in New York not Chicago, respectfully.
At the end of death Wish he gets moved or transported to Chicago what you mean
@@FlixTalk you're right! I totally forgot about that. Thanks! I grew up in the area where they filmed it. One and two are my favorites
Yeah the arc for his daughter is just... ffs..
They did a remake of Death Wish with Bruce Willis
TBH, everything after 2 is pretty average. Bronson was great in "Once upon a Time in the West" and he was the star in the original "Mechanic movie" a must watch.
