Hello Mr Tsao, I got my AP scores from my university status page and got a 5 on AP Physics C: Mech, and I wanted to thank you for that! Your videos with past free responses, and occasional videos for physics c, helped me get my 5. Thanks again!
Have you made videos that go into detail about each new AP Physics 1 FRQ style? you mention in at about 5:26 of this video, but can't seem to find it in your list of videos.
I thought the ap physics 1 changes made the class slightly harder, given the new unit on fluids meant less time to cover the other important topics. But I agree the changes seems like a net positive overall
I think one of the hardest things in mechanics is deciding whether to use forces, energy, or momentum in the analysis. For beginner students, I think that can be really challenging. So adding in new topics like fluids makes the mechanics portion weigh less because there will be some fluid material that you will never confuse for other mechanics topics. Even though it's more to cover, it makes the exam easier overall.
Im self studying AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: Elec and Mag right now. Im kinda struggling because I don’t really know where to start. I have all my notes and made flashcards for stuff I need to memorize. The questions the collegeboard asks are very difficult and since I don’t have a teacher for help it makes it more difficult. Any tips or anything helpful? Thanks
I do have some self study curriculum for AP Physics C. My best tip is to fully understand the problem solving process and practice applying the same steps to every practice problem. Your goal is to have your in head a process to approach each problem for every unit. www.bothellstemcoach.com/ap-physics-c-mechanics
There's some in my free curriculum you can access. And there's the AP PHysics 2 FRQ solutions from past year's on youtube you can look up. info.bothellstemcoach.com/infosession-recording
First. By the way, these changes make me more interested in ap physics 1, which I am taking next year. Ap physics 2 seems interesting too with new subtopics.
Grade isn't really much of a prerequisite. The key part is you feel comfortable with algebra and are taking Precalculus concurrently (there's a few topics from precalculus you need for the later units in physics)
Hello Mr Tsao can you please do videos explaining or review for each unit in the 2025 Ap calculus syllabus and preparation for the exam question and frqs pleaseeee
Allen, I wanna know what was going through your head when you took a look at the thumbnail, saw your double chin in it's full glory and thought, ''Yes, this thumbnail is absolutely perfect for this video, I don't want to change ANYTHIING."
Welp. This is gonna be good for me doing Physics II and E&M this fall but bad for me who wrote Mechanics last month. Collegeboard better lower the 5 threshold for this years exams to compensate for our mental health
Hey, Allen! Love the updates and reviews. My school had a power outage when the AP Physics 1 Test was given out so that test was canceled and my class was given another test instead. If you know what test form was given to students like me could you please review the questions for us?
Unfortunately those questions are not released so I can't make a video for them. Sorry I know the test was probably very different but I hope it turns out well!
THANKS BRO IM TA'ING THIS AP 1 CLASS NEXT YEAR SO I APPRECIATE HEARING THAT FLUIDS WILL BE PRESENT NOW... CHEERS

Awesome job! That was a tough test and I'm glad you did well!
we love you allen tsao. Your reviews are the reasons I did so well on Ap Physics. Thank you

Sorry I haven't done it yet. I will get to them in the next couple of weeks

Mr. Tsao,
Is it possible we can have worked youtube videos on fluid FRQs for 2025? Thank you so much!

Your channel is really helpful, I´ll be a sophomore taking AP Physics 1 next year, is that advisable

I am taking AP Precalc next year so I think I should fine right? I am also planning to study a bit of it over summer
Yeah that should be fine

Lol. I didn't actually look at it. Apparently you care a lot more about how I look than I do! 😂

@@AllenTsaoSTEMCoach Thank you! You were such a help when I was reviewing and I feel I did a good job on that exam.
What app allows you to write on stuff, like PDFs and such?
I use One Note
one ques if i use past study material will it be different to 2025 material or is it ok if i still use past materials
Are fluids covered in C Mechanics starting 24-25?
No they are not
thinking about taking ap physcis 1, should i?
which whiteboard you are using mr.tsao?
I use One Note
Second, but it does not matter
