It's not like russian at all. Russian is a slavic language. Norweigan is a scandinavian language. They have very little in common. Norweigan is more related to english and german (and even more to the other scandinavian languages of course :-))
Norwegian is a language between English an German, sometimes simpler than English, sometimes much more complicated than English, but it is Germanic family of languages. Listen to Polish or Czech, those ones are like Russian
