Hey guys, you will have to accept my apologies for the clip I was given. I don't know the difference in song clips I've never heard. I will make that up in future. But still try to enjoy.Thanks.
You're not watching a typical rock band, you're watching the gods of rock and roll. As musicians, they were unparalleled even in their day. Today's musicians are as 4 year olds fumbling with toys by comparison.
Only half the song. It gets even better in the second half. Jump into the Led Zep rabbit hole, you won't regret it they were so diverse. They did so many genres of music, definitely not just a rock band. Heavily blues influenced in their early stuff. Those British bands just another level at that time.
Too bad you didn't get to hear this entire hard rock masterpiece. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock bands to ever grace this planet. Thanks for your reaction.
They were totally based in the Black Blues Masters of the MS Delta ! This song was taken from blues master Willie Dixon. The British rock bands of that time were like PhD students of American Black music from which this all came. They added their Celtic folk, psychedelic effects and more. This song wraps up in a tight blues riff- keep listening to the end!!!!
Led Zeppelin is HEAVILY BASED BLUES Baby....!! 'When the Levee Breaks' and 'In My Time Of Dyin' are written by Early African American Blue Artiest Memphis Minnie and Robert Johnson. New Sub form the SF Bay Cali.
You are correct the blues influence is deeply rooted in their. The classic American blues masters were popular in England in the 50s and they put their spin on it the 60s hence, The British Invasion when I head it and became obsessed when I learned the origins were Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Howling Wolf, JuniorWells, T-Bone Walker, Buddy Guy, Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, Blind Jefferson, Bo Diddly, BB King, Freddie King, and Albert King, Otis Rush.Mix in some Gospel Funk and Soul and we get the unbelievable Aretha Franklin, “Baby I Love You”. Otis Redding, The Isley Brothers, and their backing guitar player, Jimi Hendrix. Not to mention Motown, and Stax Records. You can write a book about those four decades 50s-80s.
Rockers from the 60s-70s such as Led Zep and Eric Clapton LOVED 30s-40s legendary bluesmen. By evolving Blues into Blues Rock they kept iconic Blues alive and flourishing. Blues Rock is basically the same 12 bar Blues rhythm amped up to 24 bars per minute. Janis Joplin had her own style called Psychedelic Blooze. React to her live performance of Summertime. Check out Eric Clapton’s Crossroads, a Rock version of Robert Johnson’s Cross Road Blues. Also a Muddy Waters’ song called You Shook Me performed by Led Zep. A LOT OF CLASSIC ROCK CAME FROM LOVE OF THE BLUES
The Best Band Ever. Number 1 by a long way. Go through their repertoire but just make sure you listen to their studio versions first no matter what they tell you. Then heck out their live versions after you've heard the studio version of the song. They are the kings.
I've been a big fan of Zep for over 40 years. I can assure you that you have nothing to fear from them - their fans, on the other hand, can be quite mother bearish at times. 😁 I personally consider this a blues band that rocks. Idk how else to describe them. They've got some serious blues songs for sure but they skip around the genre wheel quite a bit during their tragically short run. A serious blues song that popped up in my head is called You Shook Me (audio version). Pretty sure you would like that. And several people have suggested Since I've Been Loving You live at MSG. You can't go wrong with that either. They sound even better live than in the studio. You're gonna love em. Everyone that listens to them does. ✌🏼❤
Hey MM. Glad you are taking a chance on Led Zeppelin. If you like the Blues, R&B, Sole, you will like Led Zeppelin. All 4 members of the band grew up listening to American Blues and were heavily influenced by it. I'm an OG and grew up with them. My suggestion would be to start with some tracks from the first album. "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a cover of a 1950's tune, and both "You Shook Me" & "I Can't Quit You Baby" are Willie Dixon covers. After reacting to those, you will be sold!
How have you not heard this??? If I could only listen to 3 bands for the rest of my life,Zeppelin would be one of them! They got the name because Robert said they would go over like a led balloon, hence the name!
Led Zeppelin best Rock band ever !! For the stereophile you shoud try the song "what is and what should never be". Please remember they were experimenting with everything to blaze a trail. No dolby atmos in those days 😉
Why did you stop the song they weren't done yet I've been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was 12 in 1969 you make me laugh saying you were afraid of them hahaha😅😅😅😂😂😂❤
Please do I Can’t Quit You Baby from the Royal Albert Hall 1970. It’s a slow blues cover that is amazing. The studio version of Since I’ve Been Loving You is another incredible soulful slow blues. Definitely Jimmys best guitar work imo and Bonham’s drum swing is as deep as a heartbeat.
Hi Music Mindset IF ya are still around making reaction videos i so do **Hope** ya will give **MyBelovedOtherworldlyLedZeppelin** & **MyBeautifulJimmyPageMagicalMusicalWizardGeniusBabe** another listen sometime soon maybe try some of their truly deep **Blues** songs like "When The Levee Breaks" "Traveling Riverside Blues" "How Many More Times" "Lemon Song" "Bring It On Home" "You Shook Me" "In My Time Of Dying" "I Can't Quit You Baby" "Since I've Been Loving You" also another great one is "What Is And What Should Never Be" if ya want to hear one of the most **Beautiful** ballads try "The Rain Song" Thank You for your time & consideration **Led Zeppelin** is THE most Influential & THE most Imitated Bands Ever! **RockON!!!** I **Luvd** hearing your thoughts & feelings & your honesty especially about it scaring you heh i have been in **MadLuv** with **MagicalGeniusMusicalWizardJimmyPageBabe** & **Led Zeppelin** since i was 8 listening to them sitting on my older sister bedroom floor with the big headphones on whilst she was out & man they captured me by my very **Soul** 1st time i heard em & at least for me anyway they put me in a blissful **Trance** that take me to another **Dimension/Realm/Place** where all time & space stop almost like an out of body experience it IS **Magical** & course there were NO substances being used by me at the time heh so yep i totally get it when ya said what ya said bout it being a **Trip** even without the help of any substance & that goes to show ya just how **OtherworldlyMagical** they ARE! k sorry enuff babblin heh once again **Thank YOU**
Good grief…I’ve never seen anyone not complete the official video! 😱. Zep was heavily blues based in their first two albums. If you like the blues, check out Since Ive Been Loving You, or Tea for One….their two best straight up blues…..also Dazed and Confused, studio version.
There is no justice in reviewing 1/2 a song. That just can't happen. Especially a Led Zeppelin song. I would never do that to another genre or song. Your credibility is on the line here.
My favourite band. There is another one that no many know: Irish The Taste with Rory Gallagher. Giutarist, singer, songwriter. ruclips.net/video/3dCo5iRt-ss/видео.html
I will not subscribe until you play the full song. Why don't you tell people why you keep doing this? Your channel won't survive this way. Best not to react to Zeppelin at all. It's sacrilige to cut Zeppelin off.
Hey guys, you will have to accept my apologies for the clip I was given. I don't know the difference in song clips I've never heard. I will make that up in future. But still try to enjoy.Thanks.
No worries! Just jump back in. More LZ!!
It’s cool.
You're not watching a typical rock band, you're watching the gods of rock and roll. As musicians, they were unparalleled even in their day.
Today's musicians are as 4 year olds fumbling with toys by comparison.
Why only half the song? That goes against Zeppelin lore 😊 Best rock band that ever lived!!
Only half the song. It gets even better in the second half. Jump into the Led Zep rabbit hole, you won't regret it they were so diverse. “When the Levee Breaks”is amazing
No need to apologize. Just neat to see a new person react to music we've loved for a long time.
They are the GOAT!!🎶🎵
I really think you would love their song since ive been loving you live from madison square garden 1973. Killer! Good reaction.

Check out the live at Madison Square Garden version of Since I've been Loving You ❤️
I second this!
Yes, but first listen to the studio version. To get the theme of the song. Then the live. My opinion.
Wait! WHAT?????? You can’t stop a Zeppelin song before it’s over!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Well that was a bummer. You definitely need to check out more so you can get the whole vibe.
You mention the blues, the British bands including the Beatles LOVED the older black blues which inspired them.
You are correct the blues influence is deeply rooted in their. You won't regret it & you'll never be the same again. Welcome to the rabbit hole.
You need to hear the whole song😢
You should give 'Dazed and Confused' a listen, I would recommend starting with the studio version
...But it make no sense if he play and react to the half song - thats crap !
You gotta see Grand Funk Railroad - Inside Looking Out 1969

Just found your channel and would like to ask your opinion. I think Otis Redding is the true King of Soul. Am I crazy?
Listen to You Shook Me, the whole song please, listen to blues rock mixed to make beautiful music
Make it up to us with Since Ive Been Loving You LIVE or Ramble On....
Start with LZ1 , the whole Album is the oldest school blues . You need to check it out and go from there . They have over 70 awesome songs

OMG that’s sacrilegious where they’ve cut the song off like that! 😮

It’s soul, not sole, the fish.
