      I thought so too, at first, and that may still be the reason, but I thought of another. The one that comes with T. rex is smaller than the ones that come with the Tiger Claw Zord. It looks like it was made that way so that it would be less likely to pop off of you pose it in certain ways, where the larger one would bump into the legs.

    They gave a DX sized megazord articulations like the miniplas, that's unreal.
    This maybe a stretch but I hope they remake past zords from different seasons that combine and have good articulations and details like this. I might buy every set.

    • @emanuelepolloni4002
      @emanuelepolloni4002 2 года назад +10

      That sounds like a good idea on paper, but it won't happen since 1) producing them would be expensive since they would need to make brand new molds for previous zords, which is an hard thing to do since they can't just copy those that Bandai used and molds cost a lot (have you ever wondered why redecos are common? Because they can recycle already existing molds) 2) Hasbro already has the Lightning Collection, which already fills the "collectors line" slot, aka if they released a Zords Collection it would compete against it, reducing shelf space and causing them to lose money 3) It would compete against Transformers and cause confusion to the kids (this might also be the reason why we haven't had yet a Transformers x Power Rangers crossover with the Rangers piloting the Dinobots and creating a giant Megazord-Transformer hybrid)

    • @xXSoulGeoXx
      @xXSoulGeoXx 2 года назад +14

      @@emanuelepolloni4002 the thing about competing against itself I find its not true
      Hasbro afterall already gave us a new MMPR Dino Megazord
      They are able to create new molds done in their style ( as when it comes to hasbro, their toys always have articulation, Transformers or the budged lines of their other properties and licensed products )
      If they would sell another Megazord outside of this season, I would bet they would go with the Legendary Megazord next, seeing as the 10 years after is releasing in Japan and they can fix a bunch of stuff in just the main Megazord alone ( also, anniversary incoming )
      Hasbro is known for their toys, and in terms of Mechs, its the most well known on CHUG release, so why would they not want to sell more Zords?!!

    • @Edsomthing

      They need to remake the samurai zords so they can actually fold into origami

    • @emanuelepolloni4002
      @emanuelepolloni4002 2 года назад +4

      @@xXSoulGeoXx Because except the original MMPR Zords the rest aren't that popular in pop culture. Most CHUG releases are characters that people know because they have been used over and over again in numerous media, plus some other characters that are included only because the comics/movies/cartoons are using them/they can reuse existing molds to make more toys/the copyright on the names is ending and they need to renew it. For example: the next Transformers movie will feature Beast Wars characters, so Hasbro has began to make new Beast Wars toys and push them to the spotlight via a new comic book and important roles in the new Netflix cartoon.
      Since Power Rangers isn't entirely under their control, since they have to use footage from Super Sentai to keep down costs, they can't do the same thing they do with Transformers, aka bring back popular characters, and even if they could, you have to remember that Zord battles are very expensive to produce (the producers of SPD spent most of the budget of the season to make a new final battle between the rangers and the new original main villain, forcing them to cut down lots of things, like the 6th ranger's unmorphed form).
      This means that even if they would produce new toys for old zords they wouldn't have a way to push children (the target audience) to buy them, thus forcing them to rely entirely on older fans, which is a risky move to do since they're usually more willing to spend lots of cash for them but are sometimes hard to satisfy.
      Finally, the only Zords that I could see being rereleased in the near future are the various Dinozords, because 1)most of the popular PR seasons are dino themed 2)dinosaur toys sell well

    This Megazord is easy one of the best ones in the whole American market, and the most articulated for sure, I really like then Hasbro put effort on this one's to actually be pretty fun and incredible, so I guess the wait was worth it 🔥🔥🔥

    • @redfinale

      Hasbro has always been and always will be a toy company first. While it's true that in almost every case, the US versions have been subpar compared to the Japanese versions (such as Samurai through Ninja Steel using that stupid "Zord Builder" gimmick), but Hasbro has been in the toy market for decades. While its true that some aspects of what they make for the American versions could have been better (the keys just make me cringe), they still need to budget it to avoid just straight importing from Japan. Example, the crotch plate from TigerLance that goes on Tyramigo, best I could tell, KishiRyuOh Five Knights is the only mecha combination that legitimately used it, so Hasbro figured they could save by just making a recessed slot and a separate piece that pegs in to it rather than engineering another four peg connection port for a spot that many might not use.

    • @OtakuUnitedStudio
      @OtakuUnitedStudio 2 года назад +6

      @@redfinale I don't think it was the ZordBuilder system that was the problem. It was all the cut corners in other ways. Less paint, simplified designs, stuff like that. The Legacy Megazords all used ZordBuilder and there wasn't anything really wrong with any of them.

    • @redfinale
      @redfinale 2 года назад +2

      @@OtakuUnitedStudio It's not the generic connectors im talking about but for many of the neo-saban era megazords, the "zord builder" pegs are placed in unneeded or unnecessary places to "encourage" mixing and matching, or it allowed excessive cut corners. the Legendary Megazord, instead of opening up on the arms and legs like the GokaiOh toy, instead used zord builder pegs for one to attach the various megazord upgrades. The T-Rex zord has a peg on its tail which on its own isn't intended for anything except for the Ultrazord where you attach the Para Zord (which looks ridiculously cheap), and the Ptera Charge Megazord has four pegs which serve no purpose for in-series combinations. Ninja Steel, the Zoom Zord also has two pegs on the sides.
      TL;DR The Zord Builder style pegs themselves were fine, in fact, they were a remarkably solid connection method, but rather they made the respective zords seem TOO cheap, even for trying to reduce costs.

      I am almost certain that is the case, since that part is its own dedicated piece on the mold and it doesn't appear like having pegs there would cause an issue with tooling or anything.
      That said, the shield piece that plugs in there is smaller than the ones that come on the Tiger Claw Zord as well, which would get knocked off if you tried to pose the legs with it plugged in. But since this is a Hasbro product now, I wouldn't be surprised to see a fan group do a custom replacement part for that and the Tiger Claw Zord's missling pegs and sockets.

They even bothered to make the heads even more accurate in the fact of adding the black on the visors/head crests, which really help with Pink, Red, and Green. Which, despite more expensive and more higher quality, the Ryusouls forgot to include paint wise. Only thing the american ones are missing is the eye liner on the key's arm part, and that's very minor of a detail.

    • @OtakuUnitedStudio
      @OtakuUnitedStudio 2 года назад +4

      I don't mind the one missing on T. rex, since the shield piece that plugs there actually would be too big and pop off when you try to pose the legs. The shield they included for Warrior Formation is smaller and designed not to get in the way.
      But all the pegs and ports missing from the Tiger Claw Zord in comparison to the Ryusoulger TigerLance? That's pretty disappointing. Especially since the method to replace it was to add a single long peg that fits in a hole in the forearms but isn't really the right size to be held, so its only use is to blatantly not have ports or pegs involved.
      My guess is that the design changes to Tiger Claw were specifically for patent evasion, since the orientation of the sockets on the Dino Fury Zords is different to how they're lined on on the Ryusoulger toys. It might not have been an issue in the US as much as other countries Hasbro markets. That's a guess, anyway...

Then the higher ups said "Nope, we're gonna do five rangers. More mecha means more fuckin' MONEEEEEEEY" . Three Knights isn't perfect. It isn't AbarenOh, but it does seem very intentional. I was fiddling with mine, and I noticed some of lego ports range from loose to stupid tight!
    For example: the Tricera Blade Zord is a tad loose on the T-Rex Champion's shoulder,
    while the head of the Tiger Claw Zord is stupid tight and hard to remove when attached to the sword piece.
    Don't know if this is a common issue, or if it's just unique to mine?

  • @OtakuUnitedStudio
    @OtakuUnitedStudio 2 года назад

    Quick thing I noticed- the Tiger Zord's neck is apparently being assembled upside down in the factory, so it should be flipped and the head rotated to match.
    I think the reason it comes with the special crotch plate instead of just having normal pegs is maybe to have it be in proportion with the rest of the Megazord. Given the extra articulation, the regular piece from the Tiger might pop off when trying to pose since the extra that comes with T. rex is smaller.
    As for the pegs on the Tiger Zord, I think it might have been to avoid having to make the extra tooling to have full pegs on top. That's a guess, anyway.

      The crotch plate I understand, but not the removing of the ports…!

    • @OtakuUnitedStudio
      @OtakuUnitedStudio 2 года назад

      @@zafool4997 It's probably got to do with keeping everything under a certain production budget. The molds are the most expensive part of that, and they have to have a separate mold for each color and material for a given toy. Given how may colors and types of plastic are being used for that two-pack, they probably just had to make the choice of which one would have to have corners cut. In fairness, the extra ports on the bottom of both halves of the tiger were completely optional even on the Japanese toy. But it is odd that they replaced the connectors in the waist with a single peg and hole. Maybe they needed to get more out of the grey rubber mold, since otherwise between the two only the Stegosaurus head, the drills, and that peg are made of that material?

      1. First of all, he is explaining the differences and compare it to the original. Not trying to pose it.
      2. Even though he got a bit unlucky with it's copy of the tiger claw zord, that doesn't mean it's "Cheap and easily breakable".
      Edit: If it's "easily breakable" then all of the pieces will break once he starts touching it lol.

    • @OtakuUnitedStudio
      @OtakuUnitedStudio 2 года назад

      1. The arms absolutely can support the weight. I keep mine in different action poses. I even have the sword assembled a bit differently so that one of the stego leg base parts is used as the grip, so that there aren't any left over parts in Warrior Formation. You can bend it at either the elbow or the shoulder and it will hold up fine.
      2. The foot breaking is likely because he tried to pull the other part off in the wrong direction (to the side instead of straight down) or possibly because the foot itself is soft plastic that fits over a peg on the bottom of the leg, and he just needs to glue it back on. There aren't a lot of other people complaining about breakage either, so no, it doesn't feel cheap and it isn't easily breakable.
