Honestly, this roster still has a bench problem. This management team has stayed away from scouting talent in Europe and it really shows. Which is weird when you hire a European coach?!
I don’t think the front office is trying to make this team very successful for this season. I think it’s going to be a tough season to watch. Yes we’ve made a lot of mistakes but goal this year is just player development and wait for draft to come
waiving Christian Koloko and allowing Lakers to sign up was just silly. They made space for guys who are 1/2 his size.. You had a good center on scotties time line and just kicked him to the curb.
He literally wasn't allowed to play NBA basketball, and still isn't. He hasn't played in 18 months, and was a defensive specialist with no offensive toolkit the last time he did play. It's not some kind of world changing loss. He's a two-way guy.
@@LockedOnRaptors He is cleared to play as of September 16, 2024, Koloko signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. His offense is much more than Kira Lewis ( who is not playing at all ) and Jordon Kwora who is playing in Turkey.. That is who we cleared space for- 2 guys who are not playing on this continent .
We all should be disappointed with this front office.. we keep losing asset after asset without compensation. Raptoes are not a good team. masai has been asleep at the wheeel right after the 2019 season. Mistake after mistake.. its very disheartening as a fan.They totally torpedoed a winning franchise into a realy bad one. Heart breaking bro
I totally agree!! When I go over that Siakam trade in my head it's absolutely horrible!! We essentially gave Siakam away for nothing!! Nwora and Lewis aren't even in the NBA anymore and you waived Koloko for this roster spot only for Koloko to walk freely to the Lakers!! God that's ugly smdh!!! Poor asset management
I mean. Koloko literally wasn't legally allowed to play in the league and was a 3 point a game defensive specialist as a rookie. That's fine. The Siakam deal, yes, was very bad.
Kelly can absolutely not play center on defense, and Boucher's never been good in that spot either. Bruno I think can be a fine 10-15 minute backup, but if Poeltl goes down they're absolutely screwed.
@@freburThat's the thing though, those other contending teams aren't screwed because their depth goes beyond their center depth, the Raptors are thin in terms of backup at every position except maybe PF with Olynyk, Boucher and Mogbo that could all chime in.

It's not that bad lol. They definitely waited a year too long to rebuild, but they should be in a good position moving forward.
