I think it's better to take care of the bigger bases quietly, because you can't get out of many calls for reinforcements. This is especially true against UNIDAD, where the growing resistance can be devastating.
When I watch Breakpoint videos I appreciate how much smarter the AI is in Wildlands. I see so many videos of that game where people just run around a base shooting people one by one and the AI never even notice. They don't patrol in pairs and their patrols rarely ever cross paths it seems. In Wildlands you have to be really smart about shot choices otherwise the AI is gonna one shot you with akimbo Uzi's from 100m away 😅.
One time, my friends and I ended up getting max patrol level in one of the cities. Long story short: If you can keep the status on "Hunted" and stay low, it is possible to slip away and be in the clear. I manage to come back for my friends in a helicopter. It was a sureal experience extracting them while they were still being hunted and then seeing from above the mess that we left. All on extreme / tier 1 mode.
Yeah even though it's a video game it still leaves those impactful memories. I still feel bad watching my friend get mortared on a ridge. And I couldn't help him. It was semi traumatic. Lol
I read this yesterday and while I agreed, I did not have anything to contribute until I played last night. Was raiding a cartel terrorized beach town with tons of civilians and cartel. I used a beach entry point and was almost to the top of the path when all hell broke loose. I sat their crouched in such a way where I could only see the horizon of the dirt path coming down my way. A flood of civilians suddenly appeared coming over that horizon, 40 or more in waves during the course of the initial battle. Mixed in now and then were 1-3 cartel. Not a single civilian shot. Baddies got dirt naps. Civies lived to drink mimosas and enjoy some lovely Huevos Rancheros. The idea of doing your job in a professional, disciplined manner (trust your training), wow, it felt very real even though it's only a game.
@@creativemindslikeus💯💯💯 Just started playing thus game in 2024 and i have to agree with you all the way. It gets so intense at times that my palms get sweaty 😅. I love this game.
@@jaestreets751 Lots of things in this game make you sweat, UNIDAD being chief among them. Glad you're have fun! I love the realism. I spent a few years in the Air Force (a cop) during peace time. Nothing happened. But when I got out, I was in civie law enforcement for a few years. Was very good at the job, but in Los Angeles, it was too much for me emotionally. The job itself was a blast, ya just don't see a lot of good. This game brings out those old (very old) instincts. The SR25 JUNGLE (fallen ghosts dlc) is the best gun for the Unidick's vehicles (one shot semi auto).. if your accurate, the Unidicks will stop sending reinforcements.
Man my buddies and I used to spend hours playing this game. Breakpoint should’ve been an expansion to this game, it had so much potential and replay value. The bonus missions with the predator and splinter cell were neat but it was a one time thing.
I tried my first Unidad base and got pounded like playing whack a mole but I was the mole! This was very helpful and Im VERY glad you did not edit out the rough moments. The big thing I learned is when the Unidad cavalry arrives, bail. The AI creates an impossible situation. The only time Ive beat them, wave after wave, was at a regular base (not Unidad) and hoping on a heavy mounted gun, and just totalled helis and mobiles. It was therapeutic. Im lvl 9 BTW. Is your damage to vehicles maxed out? For immersion, I like using sync shot to clear out snipers and roamers outside the perimeter (non Unidad) then go in with rebels from Rogue Squadron (oops, wrong type of rebel) and get the job done. No matter what I did, even with the hash mark guide, I suck at sniping.
I've beat this game two times over now and including the Fallen Ghosts and Peruvian Connection DLC and I'm still drawn to this game more than I am to Breakpoint. I'd love to play with you one day, Dark!
I actually love Breakpoint, now it's actually finished. But...it does seem kinda "off" shooting Americans. But playing with loot off, Breakpoint is great. But not as great as Wildlands.
Yeah, I beat Breakpoint and then went back to Wildlands. I've played through Wildlands countless times and it's just still fun. it just has something about it
The only thing preventing me from playing Breakpoint is the internet requirement even when playing solo with AI. Signal is pretty spotty where I am at so a constant online connection is a no-go.
Wildlands is far superior but it really comes down to personal preference. A lot of assets in Breakpoint was just copied over from Wildlands then Breakpoint put in mechanics that just don't make sense. For example you are apart of an elite ghost team yet when you go to Erewhon there's a bunch of random online players running around in the most ridiculous outfits as possible. As far as realism goes Wildlands trumps Breakpoint. I could list every little difference between the two games and why Wildlands is better but this comment would be as thick as a dictionary.. I've had multiple playthrus in Wildlands and only made it half way through Breakpoint. Heck even the Wildlands DLCs are better than Breakpoint, just stay away from the Narco Road DLC.
Wildlands (in my opinion) has a better map and a better story, while breakpoints stealth and gunplay was greatly improved Breakpoint also doesn't contain lootboxes unlike wildlands, however both contain microtransactions The map in wildlands also feels a lot more alive, with a whole lot of civilian life present There is a 5 hour trial for both games (at least on xbox) so I'd suggest trying them both out there and seeing which you like more
7:28 this is false. I've attempted to shoot through a tent from range with a silenced AR variant sniper and it did not penetrate from 150 or so meters. Don't remember the range exactly.
Hi Dark...my MO for taking Unidad bases are 1. Snipers. 2. Alarms 3. Drone Jammer. 4 Generator. Before I take out the generator I also place proximity mines and regular mines on roads in and out. Then I enter and take out soldiers
The thing I hate about helis is that they move in relation to your input(I am on console, PS5) so it's like I am controlling the heli at the same time as my inputs. It's very frustrating to try to stay one step ahead of the computer when you're basically the one steering them and yourself at the same time. I wish they would have made another system for this because it's so obvious they are not moving based on anything but attack and the defense is just based on your crosshair placement.
Yeah, I saw that!. Thanks a lot for your support. I do need to update that page, but yeah I saw, and I thank you so much. It's tough trying to make a living on RUclips. thanks again
I had a massive chase so i fled to a rebel base and made this epic stand with an LMG, luckily my guys were up on the hill distracting the troops, so I was just left to blast helicopters out of the sky, it was wicked, but I started losing men so just took a boat and escaped.
Im level 9 so if anyone has a recommendation for a AR with good penetration and accuracy, rate of fire at my level (or attachments to help make that happen), I would appreciate it. I got the L115A3 sniper (is that a heavy?) which is better than what I had but its still very wobbly and as mentioned below, I suck at sniping.
I know you're probably way past level 9 by now, but I went for the best guns/attachments as soon as I unlocked the parachute. Load the boys up in the nearest chopper, preferably little bird, take it up to 800m-1km altitude, then make a beeline straight for the approximate location of the desired item. You can get from one end of the map to the other in about 4-5 minutes real time in a chopper without any enemy contact at that height so I like to put on some tunes and enjoy the flight. Sometimes you might land in an area near SAM sites and fail to avoid the missiles, that's what the parachute is for, but that's personal preference. I went for the MK14, the HTI, the ACR, and the five seven pistol. Also prioritized the 6x scope, T5xi something, forgot the name but it's near the MK14 and it's the only scope in the game that zooms that far. You can find the locations of them online pretty easily. I had the best guns in the game by level 10ish and it's absolutely worth it. At that point you can focus on the layout and the fights instead of worrying about having a weapon disadvantage. Also, the unsuppressed HTI will one-shot vehicles including choppers and the convoys. It can stop a convoy without destroying it if you have 2 points allocated in the vehicle damage skill, combine that with the underbarrel grenade launcher for the escort vehicles and you can quite literally take out an entire convoy without any help in less than 30 seconds if you setup down the road ahead of them.
Why is it that I can't hold 8 frag grenades? I have all the skill points but I can only hold 6... same with sniper rifle ammo. I use the Desert Tech HTI BDC and can only carry 60 rounds + 5 in the mag totaling 5 rounds. Your HTI has 68 rounds + 5 in the mag. Why is that? Do I not have the same version of the game or something?
