For a family holiday in the Dominican Republic, I chose a hotel according to three criteria: it should be an a) all inclusive, b) beach resort, c) in Punta Cana.
The cheapest suitable option for my dates was Vista Sol Punta Cana Beach Resort & Spa.
For a triple room with pool view I paid €150 per night. We spent two weeks here in July 2023.
The hotel offers 3 outdoor pools, 6 restaurants and tropical gardens.
A pleasant surprise for us was the large number of birds and animals living in the garden.
The weather in the Dominican Republic in July was good. Short tropical rains did not spoil our holiday.
The hotel is located on the first line of the famous Barcelo beach. I didn't expect to see so much algae here.
The main restaurant organizes breakfasts, lunches and dinners on a buffet basis. There are also several bars and snack stands throughout the day.
There are several restaurants for dinner by appointment: Mexican, Italian, Asian, American BBQ. My favorite was the Gourmet restaurant.
El Mariachi restaurant offers Mexican cuisine, while Mama Mia offers Italian cuisine, the Gourmet restaurant has international food, the Asian restaurant offers teppanyaki-style dishes and the BBQ American Grill offers fast food
Entertainment is provided by a children's club, foam parties in the pool and evening shows.
