After 2 years of practice (over 100 hours) I've mastered the 360 and 720 as well as the drop in with the board on the stomach. I can also ride backwards with backside of the board in front of me. But I'm stuck on the backside shove. Keep tossing the board away from me and getting hurt (landing on one edge of board with my arms). I have not tried that trick as many times as all the others because of risk and fear of injury. Will check back in when accomplished as well.Y.
A lot of boards have the option for multiple fin set ups. I find that it is easier to spin with less fins, but easier to generate speed with more fins. Play with your set up to find what you like. If you want to do the shuv it go with the least amount of fins possible, I think Brian's board only had a single fin, thats a guess though.
You don't need an expensive boat to wakesurf. If you have an older wakeboat, an aftermarket wake shaper like our NautiCurl can make your wake a wave. Simply suction to the rear/side and evenly distribute your ballast. Keep riding!
