Dasha's face at 31-32 seconds, "Can't believe she messed up that easy put away after my shite second serve" lmao
I like Daria b/c of a interview/documentary that was done on her a few years back that's out on youtube, even watched her play at the US Open in a fairly listless loss, what a difference a year makes, she's fired up. one of those I've always figured for nice try players. Welp, she's punched through to the semis of a GS no less. I'll be darned.
So happy for Kasatkina. I love players like this... quiet, understated, patient. Same can be said for Iga and Leylah...Don't need to be flashy or scream or have antics or try to be a celebrity. They just focus on the game and how to improve step by step. Congrats Dasha! Well deserved.
Leylah is flashy and screams .. watch her match against Bencic or Anisimova...she also complained about Radacanu taking timeout in USO final even though she could see Emma was bleeding. Later she said Emma was very lucky to get that injury and break at the right time. The imp was getting her ass whooped but behaved as if she had a match point and Emma got lucky. She has the face of a 12 year old, so looks like an innocent little girl. But must say, she has an interesting game.
Leylah quiet? Patient? not flashy? Sometimes, She is even not respectful!
@@hashworld9836 the imp 🤣
@@hashworld9836 I don't agree, but you are entitled to your opinion. #respect
@@hashworld9836 wow finishing off with a 3/10 compliment. Shut up as if you know her personally. I think based on your comments you dont even watch her full matches, she only screams vamos when she's on break in a very tight situations to let the emotions out but during rallies she's normally quiet and have no reactions than fist pump.
And one more thing, dont create lies about what she said to emma during us open finals, hater
nobody:
umpire: KAAAASATKINA, KUUUUDERMETOVA!
is he japanese? lol
Clown Kader
She just makes it look so easy that is great to watch. Each shot is a box of surprises.
Kasatkina, no only an amazing player, incredible talented, but such a nice person. Love her game and attitude on the court. Several player should learn from her.
Kasatkina averaged 34 mph on her 2nd serve. That's insane. She has a lovely, all-court game, but that serve is horrible. Even Dementieva & Kournikova had better serves.... In the men's side, you'd never get past the 1st round of any tournament if you served less than 70 mph on your 2nd serve, and even then, a 70 mph second serve would be a huge liability.
You are so right! That is the weakest serve i had ever Seen in pro Tennis! Incredible that she ranks in the top 20 with this bad serve!!
It's her BIG weakness. She could be top 5 with a better serve. Just the look on her face after Kuder... missed her second serve.
Once i was watching sabatini and thought it was slo mo. Turns iut it wasnt. Her second serve was the slowest ever.
Kournikova's tecnique was flawless, her serve was fluid and effective, the motion simply beautiful
Shes a good player, but her draw was open to anyone
Daria, the only Russian player I like, the only one who did not cry after Wimbledon decision to ban Russian players. She admitted she is disappointed to be banned from competing at Wimbledon but noted there are much more important things in the world that need to be addressed.
Thank goodness they’re not screaming at the top of their lungs with every hit like Sabalenka and Trevisan.
I miss the Sharapova grunt.
@@aadixum 😂
I remmeber seeing one player grunt 'Australia' after every shot.
One more player's grunt used to sound like a car alarm.
Gosh, why do only women have that problem?
First handshake I see in two weeks, thanks RG
Gran triunfo de Daria Kasatkina, una de mis favoritas, ojala destaque en RG 2023!!
Glad you're back Daria ... All lifes experiences are for times like this.
Kasa improved a lot.... More power and skills now
Kasatkina has been in great form over the last few months but had to battle away on the outside courts while the more established players got the attention. Now it is time for Daria to shine on centre court. I hope she gives Swiatek a match to remember. 😀
Wow, I just knew I'd c dasha go far into a tournament at some point, she's got a great game and her serve has been working well recently. Go Dasha
Her serve has been working how? She can barely serve or even make the ball go to the other side of the court.
@@maciejstasierski If you know her, you know her serve is working really well. Yes, don't even ask how bad it was *before*.
@@maciejstasierski she is through to the semi finals so how is it not working, admittedly she hasn't got the best serve, but its alot better
@@maciejstasierski Her serve did fall off massively against Kudermeova at times but it worked fine during the other matches. Also, she knows it's a weakness so she tailors her game to defending it
Happy for Daria, but its baffles me how she reached Grand slam SF without dropping a set while hitting first serves not faster than 130km/h
Because she has a very high tennis IQ
That means unless she challenges every serve of swiatek she might get bageled
yess😂😂😂
Similarly to Roger Federer’s serves on men’s side. His serves are not fast like Roddick’s, but it’s not easy to return his serves.
Clay court helps someone without a fast serve
I love Daria when I first saw. Talent to really be something special. Unfortunately she never quite lived up the hype while her contemporaries passed her by. Hopefully this is her big coming out Party!!! But man her second serve is still terrible!!! But no matter if she wins this huge progress for her!
just wondering what took you so long to produce a less than 3 minutes highlight ? :)
It's amazing just to imagine that a match with this quality is a QF of a GS. 🥺
Daria, you are playing awesome!
Kudermetova could’ve had this if she hadn’t taken that medical timeout. Threw herself off the momentum she built by breaking serve to stay in the match when Kasatkina was leading 5-4.
Feel like she did it to throw off Daria to be honest... Backfired though..
She aLWays does that! Such a cheater!
Great win and congrats but she's going to have to really step it up on her serve if she wants to have a chance against Swiatek.
she's playing Iga tomorrow, so yeah lot of time to work on her serve
@@tomtomala1976 good point...
If she does not improve her serves, a bagel and breadstick will be served generously.
Well done Daria. ¡Vamos!
Like her determination n Great to see Kasatkina hard work paid off. Interesting to see how she fares against Swiatek.
Rafa's epic win against. Djoker was probably another boost. She's a big fan of his.
Could surprise a lot of us but i think she stand a good chance beating Iga ...She must not rally too long ( 3 or 4 shots rallies maximum ) Must anticipate, predict and intercept at early stage of Iga's powerful grounstrokes and counter it with powerful ground strokes as well, aim to her forehand side not to the backhand where she is expecting it..Do not make too much imagination in your shots..Make it simple as possible..Once Daria gets to Iga's head, things could change quiickly..I believe this an important piece of information for Daria,..if you plan to play tactically sound tennis you must reallize that you lack perfect timing and coordination and consequently , need to establish a conservative aim point well inside the lines if you want to be consistent and succesful..Your primary consideration in shot selection is attempt only those you know you can make..The second is where your opponent is..
Daria we believe in you , you are a great individual and i wish you the best in your next outing.. Good luck and try your best..
60 61 Iga
@@coacherful just imagine a comfortable victory for Iga over daria. I feel the percentage for daria beating Iga is small 🙌
Swiatek needs a nemesis......here's hoping it is Daria! I'm a big fan of Daria and I like Swiatek too.
Well done Kasatkina, she’s always been such a strong player and moves really well. She’s crafty and has pretty good power on the groundstrokes. Her serve is her only weakness but she makes up for it with her other weapons.
молодец, это просто для Касаткиной - мега достижение!!!! как клад в 100 ярдов найти)))

Dasha is my favorite. I dream she wins the title.
Iga wont let that happen sir
Congratulation Daria kasatkina 🎉
Congrats Daria!!wonderful tennis 👍🏻👍🏻👌
Please stop using whatever software or editing speeds up the ball strike moment. It is incredibly obvious and awkward to watch. The WTA channel does this often too and it is so bizarre and unnecessary. This is fabulous tennis and a great match. Honor the players that way.
Kasatkina used to play with more variety but now it's mainly highly looping ground strokes to throw her opponents off, which makes for a very boring match. Hopefully Swiatek can deal with that kind of play efficiently, kill those soft serves, throw in a bagel or two so we can get to the final already.
Hmmm it does not look like a quarter final quality... Or the other branch is way of a higher quality.
Kasatkina, Jabeur and Cilic are all fast court players that are having amazing clay court seasons, gonna be interesting to see if they all dominate the grass or have letdowns.
not Kasa - she will be tired.
Daria reminds me of Schnyder for some reason
well pointed
LOLLLL that second serve from Daria. Supposedly that average was 34mph
It means Kasa"s return game is very good. In the WTA, it can be just as deadly as a very good service game.
Umpire be like: "KAAAAAASATTKINA"
Why is no one in the stands for a women's GS French Open QF?? This world is Fugazi. Viva Daria!!
Dasha! Love her
🎾 bad news when almost just lifting the ball you torture your oponent and get the win.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 🇷🇺 Kudermetova and her aggresive and touch game.
Better results in the Next futuro for sure.
A very nice Russian girl. I'm happy for her success.
Bravo Daria
How come there are only like 7 people in the stands?
How much net clearance do we need?
Daria “yes”
Gran torneo para casantina,me gustaría que lo ganará vamos chica
Well done Dasha👏🏻👏🏻😁
With that lousy serve, she has no chance against Iga.
Dasha is a queen 🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Shame on that criminal nation
@@TheStonedstone Agreed. Kasatkina is great, but the country is gross.

Kudos to Kasatkina; well-played!
Kasatkina won't win any championships if she doesn't immensely improve that fluffball
of a serve she has. It's so slow, that it's almost like a gift. She'd be better off to forfeit
her serve, as she's a much better returner. Her ground strokes seem to have decent
power though ? so I wonder why she can't get any mustard on her serve? If she could
improve both 1st and 2nd serves, she'd be very hard to beat, she puts out a 100 % effort.
an underhand and heavy spin/slice just over the net can neutralize an aggressive return. Basically, like a badminton serve.
Congratulations Tennis Beauty Daria for a amazing win to reach the SF!🥰👏👏👏☺️☺️☺️❤️💛🧡❤️💛🧡🥳🥳🥳!! next up for Tennis star girl Daria is IGA S!!
beauty? hahaha, are you blind?
Go Daria.....This will be a nice payday at this point in her career.
Kasatkina serves are practically nothing lol. The fact that Kudermatova wasn't attacking her serve is wild.
Must be really rewarding for these women to play in front of such a big crowd 😄
Look out Daria, a freight train is coming
Какой-то грубый способ выиграть матч с таким ударом в конце. Это как сказать: "Подойди к сети, пожми мне руку, неудачник"

Did she shank that serve at set point! It can't be intentional right?

34mph 2nd serve. That won't cut the mustard against Swiatek.
Well, it doesn't cut against anyone else either.

@@grantp4022 Martina Navratilova said she served faster than her in the seniors doubles tournament and was embarrassed by how slow she served.
@@grantp4022 Her first serve is actually quite good and it's being working really well this clay season. Actually, I think Kasatkina is the only one threat to Swiatek here. Iga is a master returner who uses the force of the serve to return back a massive winner every time... she won't be able to do that with Kasatkina's serve, though. It's all kick and no power, with a high-bouncing ball very uncomfortable to return.
The result of the match could have been different had the point been Veronika's.
These highlights seem so random
Congrats dasha
I predict, prolly Kasatkina is the one who is capable to break Swiatek winning streak. Its gonna be an interesting match
Neh, I don't think. If anything, Trevisan or Coco in the final.
@@josehfm Lets see tmr, its gonna be interesting.
Możecie pomarzyć sobie:-) Kasatkina jak ugra cztery gemy to max. A finał? Kto by w nim nie grał, Iga w finałach gra o niebo lepiej niż zwykle i uwielbia je grać, pozamiatane :-)
Kasatkina? . . . I don't think so
Swiatek is on Fire right now yes, but Kasatkina all round game is different with Swiatek past opponents. It just my prediction, we'll see soon
Hawkeye shows the ball out but Chair Umpire decided it was in. The point should have been Veronika's but it was Karia's because Chair Umpire confirmed it. To Err is Human. Let Hawkeye confirm it instead of Chair Umpire.
The french open is too stubborn to change their ways
@@bigjohn2810 l agree with you. If they want to keep their old way, turn off the Hawkeye.
i mean... daria has amazing ground strokes but how has nobody on the WTA punished that second serve. She has no chance against Iga with a second serve that slow
It's her return game Iga is worry about.
Super…….

На полусвечках в полуфинал - удача. Даша мне симпатична, но не растёт девушка.
Cilic, Ok
Kind of rude way to win the match with that drop shot at the end. It’s like saying “Come to the net, shake my hand, loser”

for christ sake, what has happened to women tennis ? How can someone actually make it to the semis with that serve ??? And Trevisan ?? omg pathetic.
The day WTA died.
What are you talking about? lol
@@gseric4721 Probably talking about how a woman serving like I did when I was about 8 years old is somehow in the semi's of a Grandslam
@@Draconas That's because in the women's game, serve isn't everything. Unlike in ATP, where the top 20 is filled up with extremely tall guys who serve at 230km/h, but can't play tennis otherwise. Unsurprising that 3 broken men in their late 30's or even 40's, with more injuries than Napoleon's horse, are still dominating the game after 20 years.
