Wow funny you mention the thinning hair from covid. My daughter seemed to lose hers after covid and it took us a while to figure that at. I really need to try the Kevin Murphy products. Glad you warned about buying them from Amazon and all. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!
It’s amazing how many people are suffering from hair loss after Covid. For some it doesn’t start falling out until months later. The plumping line works so well. I think I’ve gone through 4 bottles over the last year 😂. I’m trying to get hair like Rapunzel lol
That depends on how to define soft… if your hairs dry and you want hydration which would make your hair feel soft then I would say hydrate. If you have a coarse hair texture or a lot of frizz and want your blowout to be easier and more straight then Smooth. It’s hard to say since everyone’s hair and hair texture is different.
I love Kevin Murphy! Used the Plumping wash & rinse for over 10 years and switched to the Angel line 2 years ago. I’m thinking of trying the Hydrate Me line now because I swim several times per week. Sadly Kevin Murphy is extremely difficult to find where I live in rural 🇨🇦 and we can’t order it online from the KM website 😤 - as you say, it’s very exclusive.
It’s definitely hard to find 😩. I love the hydrate! I tend to use it more in the winter when it’s dry but Plumping has always been my favorite. Maybe you can try calling a KM salon and having them mail you products. It always stinks when you find something you love and it’s impossible to get 😩
I love the Angel wash and rinse. The wash doesn’t lather much as it doesn’t contain the sulfates that create lather. Sulfates irritate my skin so the Kevin Murphy products are ideal for me. Don’t worry though, even without the lather the hair is clean.
Aww thank you so much! 🩷 You’ll have to let me know how you like the Angel (I don’t have fine hair so I’ve never tried it). The repair is really nice too. I don’t find it to be overly heavy which is nice.
Honestly it’s been about 15 years since I’ve used Pureology and I know since then they’re reformulated and changed things so I can’t really compare. If you’ve wanted to try KM then I’d say try it. But if you love your Pureology then stick with that.
Hi Jenifer great information🙌 could you please tell me what is the difference between body mass and full again? Thank you kindly and have a blessed day🙏💗
Hi there! Okay so… all of our KM reps and educators have told us they are the exact same product just different packaging and fragrance (free for the guys). I guess they launched the pink packaging line (Plumping line) 1st and the men complained of the scent and the color of the packaging so Kevin Murphy launched a more masculine version of the plumping line which is now in green packaging and has a more masculine scent. We were told they had to slightly reword the description and name of both products because legally you can’t launch 2 of the same products and give them different names and packaging. So that’s why they are slightly described differently. Body Mass (pink) was developed from the same technology they use in lash serums that lengthen and volumizes the lashes. So it’s designed to give you thicker hair and help regrow hair. The Thick Again (green) helps to thicken hair on those with thinning hair. It still has the same lash serum technology and everything.

Hi! Thank you so much 🥰. I would start with the Plumping Wash and Rinse and the Body Mass. if you wanted to add in a styling product, I would pick one that’s a spray versus a cream (it’ll be lighter). Any of the “Ever” sprays would be good. If you’re wanting to feel like you have thicker hair ever thicken would be a good option.
I was talking about you yesterday to my hair stylist bc got my hair done and now I finally paid attention to the Kevin Murphy in the Salon and told her it was because of you hha
Hello Dear! I wanted to ask if the Plumping Wash is also hydrating? I would love a good volume shampoo, but all the other ones I tried dried out my hair sooo badly. I just ordered the Hydrate Me Wash, hope it will help with the dryness.
Hi! The plumping is definitely hydrating. It’s my FAVORITE shampoo and conditioner from KM. I can relate to the dry feeling you get when using a volumizing shampoo bc I deal with that too. I think you’ll like the Plumping one.
The plumping line is great for anyone who wants to add volume and thickness. It will also help to strengthen your hair. So if you’re wanting volume it would be great! I personally love it! It’s my favorite KM shampoo and conditioner.
Hi, I was wondering if you had tried the KM Crystal Angel Illuminating Gloss Treatment? Would love a short review. I’m planning to get it for my dry ends and dull hair
Hi! I personally have not used it but we do have it in the back bar of my salon and one of my estheticians uses it and LOVES it! She said she’s never used a product that makes her hair look so shiny (she has baby fine hair so most products make her hair heavy). My stylists like it as well. They love how it gives shine to the hair.
@@JeniferLarson thank you so much for the prompt reply! I used it according to the package directions and it did NOTHING! So disappointed :( it said to apply on freshly washed hair (I think they meant damp hair right?), leave it on for 3-5 mins then rinse. Should I apply it to dry hair instead or leave it on for longer?
Oh no! 😩 You could try and leave it on a little longer. I know my esti that uses it has silver/ white hair and my stylists use it on a lot of their gray/ white haired clients. What is it that your wanting? Are you wanting shine only? Or something that will revive your hair and give it shine? You can definitely use the shimmer me on top. I would use it on dry hair and make sure you spray it from far away- not close to your hair. It does come out like a mist rather than a spray which is so helpful especially with fine hair.

Hey Jenifer, I've got a few loaded questions and you're literally the perfect person to ask! 😌 I'm a 30 yo male and thinning hair but nothing too obvious. I'm trying to keep on top of it without trying out DHT blockers. I've seen claims of the Oribe Serene Scalp spray help thicken and sometimes even grow baby hairs. I was set on that product but wanted your opinion if I would be better off sticking with the Serene Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner exclusively, or would I be better off mixing the Spray with the Oribe Volume Shampoo/Conditioner every other day since I've seen that you like that line too? Or do you think that I'm better off trying this Kevin Murphy line of products that's helped you? Being in Australia I do know of them and they seem pretty good!, But since watching loads of your Oribe videos had thought that with Oribe you do get what you pay for maybe. What would you kindly recommend to me? Thank you!
Hi! So many good questions! So first up I can totally relate to your situation because my boyfriend is in the same boat so he’s been my Guinea Pig for a lot of “hair growth” products. First, the oribe Serene Scalp line is solely focused on removing oil/ build up and soothing the scalp (which is important bc you need a healthy scalp for your hair to grow). Second, I think a lot of people confuse thickening products with the idea that these products are going to make their hair thicker. But in reality that’s not the case. Thickening products are usually designed to make your hair feel thicker. So if you go to shampoo your hair again that product will rinse out- it is temporary. So think of it like a styling product. Third, If your main focus is on hair growth… Then I would go with the Kevin Murphy plumping wash and rinse or the men’s version of that is stimulate me wash and rinse. Although both products are worded slightly different because you can’t copy and paste they are the exact same product just different packaging and a different fragrance. There’s also a styling product in that line called thick again… That’s the men’s version and it’s a leave in treatment for thinning hair. This line has been the one that’s giving me the most hair growth that I’ve seen and I know it’s made a difference on my boyfriends hair as well. If you wanted to alternate lines I would say the best recommendation would be the plumping wash and rinse from Kevin Murphy (or mens version) And the Oribe alchemy shampoo and conditioner. The oribe Alchemy line is designed to put a barrier around each hair strand to help protect it and make your hair stronger. This is currently the routine that I am on because as these new baby hairs grow in they are so fragile and I want to protect them as much as possible which is why I use the alchemy line every other time. I really want to protect those baby hairs and strengthen them as they grow in. I hope this helps!
@@JeniferLarson Thank you a tonne Jenifer, you have no idea how much help that is to me 🙂 I'll give the 3 KM plumping products a shot and try to pick them up tomorrow, also keen to try out their Smooth Again line for my Mothers curly, frizzy hair. I'll give them a go daily for a few months and see how it goes, I'm glad it's helping your boyfriend! Thank you 😄
It does a little but it’s not going to give you a head full of bubbles. The only way I get a lot of bubbles is if I get my hair really wet and work it in. Usually professional shampoos don’t lather like those from the drugstore. It’s usually because they’re more concentrated and don’t contain sulfates (which is the ingredient responsible for making shampoo lather).
Hello there I'm a guy. My hair are wavy to slightly curly. Mediim low density with fine to medium hair strand. My hair tend to feel dry. Frizz is an issue so my hair do not clump together easily. Would appreciate an advice and products i can look into (Not many good brands are but kevin murphy is available in my country India)
Hi! I would say to try the smooth line. Depending on how you like to style I would say maybe the smooth shampoo and conditioner and then style with the East Rider cream. The easy rider is an anti frizz cream but also will help to define your curl or wave. It’s a flexible hold as well.
@@JeniferLarson thanks for getting back to me. I was under the impression that smooth line is for thick/course hair type. Also, I should mention I am growing my hair out a bit. I want to eventually style them like Penn Badgley in TV show "You" season 4 to give you a reference haha. Do you think Smooth line along with Easy rider work for that look? Should I invest in bedroom texturizing spray?
Of course! The smooth line isn’t just for thick/ coarse hair. We have a ton of clients with fine hair that use it and love it. If you feel it might be too heavy you could use another shampoo and conditioner such as hydrate and then style with ever smooth and easy rider. Or just try easy rider. I think I’d try just styling easy rider in wet hair and see how you like it. If it’s not want your looking for you could try ever smooth and diffuse your hair.
Forgot to answer the bedroom hair question but if you like the textured look you can try it but since the look your going for it more wavy/ curly I’d probably pass on getting it. Texture sprays tend to give you more of a piecy look. A more messy look. The actors photos from that season if more of a polished style. But again, you could use it if you wanted a more messy, textured look. It all depends on what you want to do and what look you like the best on yourself.
I honestly don’t know. I carry Kevin Murphy in my salon so that show I buy it. I do know that you can only purchase Kevin Murphy on their website or at a Kevin Murphy salon. If you’re worried about shipping, see if there’s a salon near you.

Hey, could you suggest something for frizzy fine hair, something that doesn’t weigh down my hair 😩
Hi there!! If you want a KM product I would say Ever Smooth bc it’s a spray or (non KM) I would say Color Wow Dream Coat.
Hello there
I'm a guy.
@@JeniferLarson Thank you. That gives me some clarity. I will try smooth wash and rinse and try Easy rider on wet hair and air drying. :)
I just a have question is the site real reviews look kinda fake and how many days till shipping
I honestly don’t know. I carry Kevin Murphy in my salon so that show I buy it. I do know that you can only purchase Kevin Murphy on their website or at a Kevin Murphy salon. If you’re worried about shipping, see if there’s a salon near you.
I'm a male trying to take care of my hair... i hope I'm not late 😅
But why this brand is not popular enough... not much reviews on RUclips... although when I ask womens about it they say it's great
It’s a really great line! I think no one talks about it bc it’s a hard brand to find. You can only buy it on their website or at a Kevin Murphy salon. Those that use KM absolutely love it!
@JeniferLarson I bought hydrate me line shampoo conditioner and mask combine them with the young again treatment oil and body mass leave in conditioner for the scalp
My hair is fine and dry with little wave and I have been putting it in a bun the last five year's now it's much hydrated little Shiny and less frizzy and it's only 8 days 😄
So I just wanted to say thank you
maybe next I'm going to try the plumping line .. I want a little volume with hydration
What’s on your eyeballs? 😍
It’s the everyday faves palette from Ulta. 😜
Hi beautiful. Hope you see this comment. I'm trying to style my hair like Jeremy Allen White in this video ruclips.net/video/pcdLTDBris8/видео.htmlsi=Zh5YLnLeHb7dYMQH
I have medium density wavy to curly hair. My hair strand not very thick. It is low medium i would say. What are some hair products would you recommend to me?
Hi! I would say the Killer line.. it’s for curly hair.. there’s several curl enhancing products in various textures depending on if you prefer cream or lotion or if you air dry your hair versus diffuse it.
@@JeniferLarson I don't have have thick hair. They are between medium and fine thickness and medium density. I prefer air drying. Which kevin Murphy one would work best for me? Also, do you think curl creams from curlsmith are a good option to achieve the look in the video?
I’ve never used curl smith so I’m not sure. I would try the curl cream form Kevin Murphy and twist your curls when wet and just let your hair air dry.
@@JeniferLarson alrighty. I will try kevin Murphy motion lotion or Killer curls.. Thank you so much
This is all about the Kevin Murphy line
From a salon owner
Although I’m not technically the owner I do run and manage the salon and spa and absolutely LOVE it! What KM products do you love?
Thanks for this video!! So i can walk into a salon that has kevin murphy and buy a rinse/conditioner without having to get anything done at the salon?
Of course! I’ve never heard of a salon that wouldn’t allow you to buy retail without getting a service. Your sale is still making them money.
