I've only used a few drops of dish liquid and water. It may take a number of cycles if they are real bad but definitely cleaned some carbs I would not have been able to with carb cleaner alone. internal passages can only be cleaned this way imo.
You should not put plastic parts in it. the heat can cause them to crack and burst the floats. I know this from experience. I use Rain X window washer in mine. Half water half Rainx. Seems to work just fine for me. But I have learned everybody has their own mix to use. Go Luck!!!
This is my next bit of kit to purchase
It would be interesting to see how well it does or doesn't clean clogged and scaled and ethanol varnished passages and jets.
I've been using it for a few years. Shown in many videos. It work but there are better cleaners out there.

Duke's World I've never had a problem with plastic parts getting ruined. maybe your cleaner is higher power or your running it too long?
I want to experiment with the cleaner. Let me know your experience with different cleaning solutions.
