Cannot thank you enough for all of these tips. I’m new to this Perimenopausal thing, and I’ve been so scared at times. These videos have been so so helpful🙏🏻finally, someone talking about ALL the things women need to know about this subject.
Same here! Her vids have been helping me a lot navigate this very weird phase in my life. I hope there is some kind of online support group on this with Eileen.
I never read this anywhere so I'm writing it in case someone needs to see it in rare chance they will.... Mornings in menopause can feel like a full body poisoned chemistry sensation. Each cell feels in burning ache and a chemical like "poison" feeling. I do know a few ladies know exactly what I mean .
Disney Girl I woke up this way yesterday. Once I get moving and workout I can usually shake it off ad well but not yesterday. I could only shake it off for moments here and there. It made for a stressful unhappy day. Today is a new day. A much much better day.
Hit nail on the head also it triggering of my migraines honestly I don’t feel like me anymore feels like my body be taken over and can’t do anything about it I just want it to end it like living a nightmare so glad your hear to help us so massive thankyou stay safe
i am exhausted all day, i could sleep a good 16 plus hours a day. stopped bleeding then started again for month. stopped for 2 days and had blood again. ive always had heavy periods.i feel like its never ending and i have iron in, also had anemia for years so i know when im low on iron, but this is something else. im 51 too old for this now feels like its not going to stop and my body is tricking me then pow, here we go again x
Hi Tracy It's a good idea to get this checked by your doctor just to rule out issues such as low vitamin D, fibroids, polyps/cysts or even a prolapse as all of these can cause heavy bleeding on the approach to the menopause. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Tania I have posted a video blog on itchy skin and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/simple-solutions-to-ease-itchy-skin/ Best Wishes Eileen
I always tried to fix myself something healthy to eat for breakfast but before menopause there was not as much repercussion then but now since I started menopause a couple of months ago and boy did it hit me with a bang I thought I was having a heart attack and went to the emergency room and wound up having every test done on me (all of my lab work and blood work turned out normal it was only panic attacks due to anxiety) I will really feel the difference if I slack off so I must be diligent about it whether I cook some eggs (with tortilla bread, corn - based over flour) and wheat or multigrain toast with preserves (instead of processed jelly) spread with apple butter or avocado, sometimes with a side of fruit such as strawberries blueberries or blackberries or vegetables such as spinach black beans or diced tomatoes or potatoes cut up or yogurt or oatmeal if I have time and if I don't have time and have to get to work I will grab a healthy snack like a protein bar or wheat bagel with cream cheese or a yogurt cup or an applesauce cup ( I can literally drink the applesauce out of it and not have to use a spoon) put orange juice in a water bottle grab a banana or some other fruit and I can consume these while I'm driving on the way and because I work outside the home I will pack a healthy lunch the night before that way I don't go and grab something unhealthy like fast food during my lunch break and to help with low blood sugar I like to keep in my pocket a granola bar or fruit bar or peanut butter crackers or nuts or raisins but I've noticed it's very crucial to have something in the morning right after I wake up go ahead and eat something no matter what it is because that way I can take my vitamins and supplements because you need to take those with food so that way not only do I eat something healthy but I'm able to process the supplement as well and by lunchtime I'm feeling fine and eating another healthy meal.... I have found that eliminating caffeine from my diet has made all the difference in the world it has reduced my anxiety and if I have a craving for it I will drink some tea instead or if I really need a taste of coffee I will have decaf and if I'm craving soda I will drink the non-caffeinated like Sprite. and I agree about drinking the water I drink some in the morning when I wake up and at least every couple of hours... and in the evening a small cup of milk or an herbal tea especially with lavender and chamomile for relaxation.. consistency is key. My symptoms have reduced almost 100% my energy level is up my insomnia is gone I'm falling asleep earlier and sleeping a deep and sound sleep throughout the night and when I wake up my symptoms are very light and do not last long especially as soon as I start eating something and I only relapse when I fall off of that system and waiver from my lunch and dinner diet which includes everything mentioned on Eileen's other videos. I share these videos on my Facebook for my friends and family and recommend all of these foods to my female co-workers and acquaintances. She has changed my life for the better. I want it to make that positive difference in others. .Thank you so much Eileen
Hi Susan That's a fantastic result, I do know how much hard work goes into adapting the daily diet, so well done for all the positive changes you've made! Thank you for sharing us with your family and friends, much appreciated. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Hormonal changes in the menopause can affect insulin control which could result in unstable blood sugar levels and, yes, healthy fats and good protein with low carbs can often help regulate this Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Maliha Very often, when your dehydrated, you don't feel thirsty but when you start to increase your water intake, you will feel it a lot more! Best Wishes Eileen
Dehydration is not my cause of horrific sensations. It's solely hormone changes. 6 years in and I'm 100% certain. Menopause= HARDEST life experience thus far.
Thank you. I have a question, I have not had a period for months and now I have a period that is a heavier flow with severe cramping pain (labor-like), is this common in menopause/perimenopause? Thank you
Hi Anna Yes, this can happen and is quite common, however, if the bleeding doesn't stop or the pain continues then it is wise to get it checked out by your doctor. Best Wishes Eileen

Why would you get low blood sugar when you have hormone issues? It's all about hormones, eat good fat and low carbs with higher protein.
