With every video, your animation quality gets better. Even the block out shows that your camera angles and slides are getting smoother and more planned. Loving it, keep up the amazing work!
So, you are incapable of typing something into a search engine yet apparently capable of typing stupid comments in a RUclips video. Do me and everyone here a favour: fuck off. Then fuck off some more.
If it's made from tax payers money, i can say right now it's a well spend. Each video animation is better and better. Can't wait for a full opening story.
Exactly, taxpayers money at least spent for open information, in a passionating way that incentives people into getting interested in preventing risks.
I read a little about Trump wanting to eliminate them and it looks like there is pretty good opposition to this on both sides. Even industry isn't against eliminating the CSB. However the CSB has some faults I suppose. But the good definitely outweighs the bad. Plus they are not capable of implementing or changing regulations so they really are independent which is a very good thing to have. I hope they stay funded.
I really do not understand what is behind of cutting cost on safety. From history of many many cases in chemical, oil, industrial accidents real cost of accident, damaged or completely destroyed installation is a mind blowing. Time to rebuild installation after that kind accident could last year. I just don't understand why private companies decide for such risk when they know how it can end? Why they need to be enforced (!) to follow (for me) common sense rules that prevent from destroying their own property. If i imaginary put myself as a CEO of some kind company like this i would say "put as much as we can effort on safety because i don't want plant to get blown away, if plant will be blown more money will be lost than earning less but safer way" - that is just common thinking and almost always when i watch story on CSB it ended up backed by cutting cost. What's in their mind? Can someone explain it to me?
This appears to be disturbingly similar the 2015 Torrance California refinery explosion. In that case they were very lucky that scaffolding had been erected around tanks of modified hydroflouric acid. The scaffolding prevented debris from penetrating the tank. In this case, maybe they weren't so lucky.
Knew guys working up there. They got so lucky that this happened during break for the initial explosion. Shutdown work was starting not far from were the initial explosion took place.
USCSB, thank you for the continued content. The respect and pride that you produce these investigations with are honorable. As a leader, these videos have trained me to remain vigilant to protect the people and environment around me. I am looking forward to the full video presentation!
0:03 Wow, at first I saw that refinery just fly out of the ground taking a 200m thick disk of rock and dirt with it and thought my God, what kind of accident was that? An anti-gravity generator explosion? Then I realized it was just CGI and I was just being sarcastic.
Give it 200 years. “During a routine NASA moon fuel transfer, a pipe failed. The failed pipe was flagged for replacement ten years ago, but was not replaced due to management changes. This caused a cooling system malfunction, triggering an antigravity field inversion in the antimatter catalytic cracker. The entire rocket fuel refinery and 155 additional square miles was catapaulted from the ground. 28 contractors were injured in the accident.”
Awesome graphics and editing by the way. You keep getting better. I really hope the Trump Administration doesn't cut your funding and try to destroy you like it has tried to destroy every other bit of good in our government.
I much prefer the more conservative and indepth style of your older videos. "Animation of 2015 Explosion at ExxonMobil Refinery in Torrance" was much easier to follow.
Volo, friend, this is just a teaser video. 'interim' is used instead of 'teaser' as this channel is a rather professional one, more so than most similar channels.
Thank you. I've got a bit confused there. Now they have "designer's" preliminary report and "informative" final statement. It's nice to watch them side by side.
The Husky Superior Refinery in Husky, Wisconsin...levitated on a giant puck of Earth and immediately started drifting west at high speed! Due to dust accumulation it exploded tearing a hole in the world!
I think the problem is that they tore the entire refinery and its surroundings out of the earth and moved it into a featureless white void. That might cause some problems.
The detail on this animation is pretty cool. It is so accurate that I can see the area where we load our propane transport trucks off of a Canadian pipeline across the street from the refinery. Even the parking lot and the propane tanks nearby are accurate.
Whenever I hear that voice I imagine the most interesting man in the world
andrew campbell except more interesting
It's like USCSB's David Attenborough
It sounds like 2008
Was thinking the same thing..
andrew campbell well, he does talk about some pretty interesting shit....
With every video, your animation quality gets better. Even the block out shows that your camera angles and slides are getting smoother and more planned. Loving it, keep up the amazing work!
USCSB are heroes of industry and process. Thanks for doing the work that you do.
By Mid 2018 President Donald J. Trump has twice proposed eliminating CSB

I love trump, but this is one if his terrible decisions, it’s independent, and helps keeps industry safe and cost effective

Argh, just a teaser! These are so educational and I hate to wait.
Can't wait for the full video!
April 26th of this year? Pretty fast investigation and video production! Good job!

Hot Asphalt is better then HF releases any day of the month
I love this channel so much.
I've been binge watching the whole channel and now hyped up about this new video!
Johanna, I myself experienced the same addiction! Enjoy the next one when its available!
Who’s fault ? Asphalt ! That’s who’s fault !
Whose* ....please learn to spell.

I don't know who does your narration, but he has the perfect documentary voice. I'd believe anything that guy says.
Lets use slider valves yeah good choice for leakage
I find it funny people come here just for his voice
Beautiful new animation!

Ooh I'm liking these new animations. All sound effects and everything. Can't wait to watch the full report!
The narrator sounds a lot like Robert Stack from Unsolved Mysteries, which harkens me back to my childhood watching t.v.
The VFX keep looking better and better. Can't wait for the full video, considering this happened in April, quick turnaround time for sure.
The storytelling style and CGA are unique to this board, and very effective. I'm not surprised this youtube channel has a cult following.
I live in WI and watched this live on Facebook. Very accurate animation.
And now, here's the rest of the story...
Loving the animation style on this one! Cannot wait for the finished product!
Fire effects look good
These videos make my day. Thank you.
Ug, that constant rotation. Other than that, it's an amazing animation.
RocketboyX I found it a bit distracting as well. It might have been okay if it was half that speed or less.
That was a scary time. It sucks leaving your own town with almost nothing not knowing if things will be ok or not.
Awsome

Another excellent CSB video
good story
NOTIFICATION SQUAAAAD
Yup.
A great effort by the USCSB, thank you for this valuable information.
Ok @USCSB, never replace your narrator. He is the Sir David Attenborough of industrial hazards and accidents.
The Husky Superior Refinery in Husky, Wisconsin...levitated on a giant puck of Earth and immediately started drifting west at high speed! Due to dust accumulation it exploded tearing a hole in the world!
At least nobody died
That is oddly similar to the Torrance ExxonMobil explosion
I can't wait to play this new Fortnite map
animation team just showing off now. Pulling the whole area, EARTH included, outta the ground!
Nice animation! Looking forward to the video as I live in Duluth overlooking superior and watched
Dude that animation was Disney status I love this channel but not for what it covers of course.
I look forward to learning the cause of this accident. USCSB has my support.
You wouldn't believe how far away you could see the smoke from. Was super scary.
Stunning animation aside, hot asphalt pouring out onto the ground and igniting honestly sounds terrifying...
When they rip the ground out of the earth and put it on a giant sheet of paper, you know it’s serious.
asphalt fire? is it still burning today? heh
Can't wait for the full video presentation!
Damn, an asphalt fire must be tough to fight
Yes!! And with sound and good animation!!
I remember when this happened. Could see the smoke for miles.
I've been waiting for this since it happened.
So almost like Exxon Mobil kinda.
I love you USCSB.
I love how they made the ground camoflage
These are very educational. I am looking forward to the full release. Thank you CSB for all the fine work you do.
When's the full video coming out
Refineries = ♡
And what if this happens again ❓🤔❓
nothing good for husky refinery, thats for sure!
Hey, I rember hearing about that on the local news!
0:04 - Husky Refinery is Sokovia!
It appears that most of the accidents happen during maintenance, which sarcastically is performed to avoid such accidents.
The narrator is so powerful he literally picked up the refinery and carried it into a white void to convey the information
a great beginning to another great safety video. I wish the nuclear industry had something like this.
Yesss, I live for these.
Oops shit happens
Bad things always happen after a ‘maintenance shutdown’ 🤦🏻♂️ I’d be taking a vacation!
I think the problem is that they tore the entire refinery and its surroundings out of the earth and moved it into a featureless white void. That might cause some problems.
This is sokovia
Go figure it was Husky energy. Routinely put production ahead of anything remotely close to safety. Shame on them.
As a citizen of superior Wisconsin I would like everybody to know that not only was the sky black all day, even Wal-Mart closed its doors.
What is narrator's name? I am glad CBS is going strong after Trump cut their budgets.
The CSB found...
Oops, right channel
the debris hit a 200ft asphalt tank
WHAT LUCK
If USCSB were a rock star, I'd throw my panties on stage at them.
These are the kids in school who raise their hand when the teacher asks the most random question in the world
what are the chances its a slimier fault to the 2015 one in California eroded slides that dumped all the catalyst during shutdown
Should call it Inferior, Wisconsin
Please do explosion at Ultratech in Owens crossroads Alabama
What ignited the hot asphalt leaking from the tank?
We should take all of ICE's funding and give it to the CSB.
We should increase funding for both and cut back on some of our military commitments to make up the difference.
WOW.... 630,000 gallons of A.C. = a lot of roadway!
I could see the smoke from my house, and many of my friends and family evacuated the town. Very scary time...
Damn that is crazy...I hate asphalt..I hate cleaning it and I hate dealing with it !
Your animations are better then a fictional disaster at the movies....
These are wonderfully done. Good job USCSB and great work Shauna and all the other production staff on these videos.
Love the uneccessary opening with the refinery being pulled out of the ground, your animator is loving his/her job lmao.
Oh Jesus that is horrifying!
The voice of the last word in what went amis...and who is to blame.
Awesome animations guys.
For fuck nothing was superior there!
Don’t know how but I am addicted to this channel now
I still think these companies need fined more.
No dogs were harmed during this accident
Someone told me this was a link to Rick Roll someone...
1:05 3000 pts! Nice shot!
The detail on this animation is pretty cool. It is so accurate that I can see the area where we load our propane transport trucks off of a Canadian pipeline across the street from the refinery. Even the parking lot and the propane tanks nearby are accurate.
is 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😰😱🤯🤯
0:03 Uh-oh! Looks like Ultron is back at it again
