Thanks for showing a broken bale fix on a basket setup. It's about what I expected but I've never seen it. I would definitely like to get a basket or two.
Miss ties and broken bales.. I've always wondered how a basket or a kicker and wagon is worth it when that happens.. Still amazes me that there's not a lot of New Holland stackers in your part of the country.. built closer to you, than me. Yet it seems they're all in the west. Bale Barron seem to be in parts of the country too.. Keep getting it done! Thank you Ray!!
Thanks, Ed yes stackers never really caught on around here mainly because a lot of people don’t like to leave the hay on the ground for very long because of the short windows and the price kind of seems for larger Hay Farmer than water than in this area but we are seeing a lot of bail Barr now. A kicker you see the broken bale right away because it explodes.
@@michiganhay7844 we run the stacker right behind the baler. With a barn setup to dump in, it doesn't take long... and no handling bales, unfortunately, our barns here at the farm, were built before stackers. But the barn we lease with the ground on the hill, was made to stack in.
Pretty cool. So how many do you get in one of those carts you pull behind? And what do you have to watch out for in the twine box? It says watch out for the _ _ _ _ _ _ _?
Oh, I was supposed to be checking in my mirror to see them going up the shoot and I was almost done and stopped looking at the Bales and did not notice the twine was broken on one side always happens right when you’re gonna be getting done you get about 100 in those
Yeah, mine were sold that way were you jack them up and put a pin in it and it’s kind of ridiculous way too much weight on the truck I did it early on had all sorts of problems so we don’t even waste time doing it fall off we had it jacked up and then they go flying off and ditch and never find them
Well I see your shirt has a libertarian message! There has to be quite a worjout stacking all those square bales on a trailer. Having twine break is just part of square baling it seems!
Yeah, I keep the libertarian thing going. Those are my roots. Yeah I got complacent. I was almost done. Bailing and stopped looking in the mirror checking the Bales always happens right when you’re getting done.
@@michiganhay7844 I remember when I was helping out in the 1980's the baler would break twine on the last few bales. They were dropped on the ground so you know what fun it was to pick them up so they could load on the trailer. I am a libertarian as well, live free or die.

Nice video showing the field side of baling into baskets. I worked with a neighbor who had them in the ‘70’s.
I didn’t realize they had those things back in the 70s
Boy that old white sure does hum along very nice video
Yeah, the 1977 and it has a brand new engine in it
Beautiful field
Thank you mother. Love you.
Looking good Ray and blessed wishes with the rest of your season my friend.
Thanks so much, Tony

They save a lot of time compared to stacking on a hay wagon plus they unload themselves

Bale baskets are pretty neat. Don't some of them lift the dolly wheels up in the front to pull behind pickup?
