These courses for facial cosmetology are not NMC recognized I suppose. And these are to be done by dermatologist with MD/DNB/DDVL
No course is NMC or DCI recognised. Most of these are under continuing education and not a degree.
Plus it is still a debate about whether dentists can do advanced facial treatments.
Is doing facial cosmetology in any private courses in value in abroad could u please suggest some od dci approved colleges for facial cosmetology
DCI does not approve any course other than BDS and MDS.
So sir after bds I can go on for doing botox fillers etc right?
Botox is done by few BDS doctors but it is a grey area as to whether you can do it or not.

Please see my other reply and to answer this question. Video dekho have not told dentists will do dermatosurgery or treat skin disorders. Nor did I mention a BDS graduate can start doing hair transplant.
Sir do we need to pursue MDS before doing facial cosmetology course? Can we join the course just after BDS and be a successful facial cosmetologist?
You can be successful with BDS if you build that kind of practice..

Medical aesthetician is complete body facial cosmetology focuses on the face.. Most procedures are similar..

Even the BDS degree is not recognised, so can't practice dentistry. Facial cosmetology out of question. Can not practice it.

What according to you is the scope after doing a fellowship/diploma in facial aesthetics? Is it a good option?
Will I have a successful career?
Also, the list of institutes that you provided, is the degree fr there applicable abroad also?
First, there is a debate if you can practice it. So be sure before getting into it.
Second, no one will call you as a consultant for this. So having patients or clients is what you have to work on. So having a clinic is important.
Third, before putting up your clinic knowing basic dental procedures is important.
Fourth, most countries you can practice as a dentist with restriction on facial procedures you can do.
If u wanted to practice cosmetic practice then why u did dentistry . U were in sleep while taking admission 😂😂😂😂. Stick to ur speciality. Don't poke in other fields. Dentistry mein practice nahi ho raha hai kya

Most of these courses are private not recognized by DCI or any university. So no exam just apply and pay fees.

About cosmetology it depends on laws of which country you planning to settle in..
Sir can we practice facial cosmetology in US or other countries after bds
You can't practice even regular dentistry in USA after BDS in India till you do DDS or masters so facial cosmetology out of question..

Learn basic dentistry is essential before you get into other procedures as patients will first want to trust your skill before letting you treat the face.. so my personal opinion focus on basic dentistry skills first..

Even local beauty parlour are doing cosmetic procedures like any trained dermatologist or aesthetic dentist will do . Worst part is population are treated as guinea pig in the name of enhancing beauty by quacks .

Difficult to get jobs in cities after just a diploma. But there are fellowship programs associated with universities like MUHS in India. Again masters might help getting jobs more easily in hospitals than diploma.

Usually dentists who are doing facial cosmetology do it in their clinics by explaining their regular dental patients. So not salary based.
Can non surgical rhinoplasty using fillers which is famous these days be done by a bds dentist who certifies for fillers and Botox courses ?

Maxillofacial surgeons are surely allowed. But there is confusion about whether BDS graduates are allowed or not. No clear order from DCI or government regarding it.

Dentist is supposed do procedure on teeth and oral cavity..if any dentist will do chemical peeling, laser , hair transplant or any other procedure on face or else than CRIMINAL MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE WILL BE APPLICABLE will be PENALTY AND IMPRISONMENT..logically when ur Pediatrician, than u can't do Casearean section..it doesn't need any law..and this channel says there is no law made till now for facial aesthetics.
well usually after pursuing mds in OMFS, you can practice facial cosmetic procedures including prp lasers and hair transplants, you can become a aesthetic facial surgeon.
many dentists might get offended by what u jst said, bcz fyi head and neck region IS THE AREA OF THEIR SPECIALITY... its like you're saying pediatricians cant treat 16 year old boy because he is not a "baby or child".

There are quite a few happy and successful facial cosmetologists (dentists) who patients trust and get treated by.
Dentist doing hair transplant and botox and filler ? Is it medico legal . Does dental curricular include that . Soon these things will be taken into law of court . Dear young BDS . Kindly. Rethink . For doing peels you would have not even required that BDS. Think and think
Firstly it’s not about bds doing it….we do learn the subject anatomy in our first year and to be honest head and neck is supposed to be our strong part and there is a course of facial aesthetics. Which can be pursued after bds as well… and at the end we all are doctors so please stop this bds mbbs thing….if at the end patients are not facing any problems then why is it bothering you?!
Instead I think you should rethink about your future rather than defaming other fields….

You can do a beautician course.. there are few procedures beauticians can do.. but as the procedure get complex you need a medical degree..

I am not an expert nor do I personally practice cosmetology. But some of my views are as follows.
POINT 1 - Definition of dentistry as per wikipedia - "Dentistry, also known as dental medicine and oral medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity, commonly in the dentition but also the oral mucosa, and of adjacent and related structures and tissues, particularly in the maxillofacial (jaw and facial) area.[1] Although primarily associated with teeth among the general public, the field of dentistry or dental medicine is not limited to teeth but includes other aspects of the craniofacial complex including the temporomandibular joint and other supporting, muscular, lymphatic, nervous, vascular, and anatomical structures."
POINT 2- Go through the BDS syllabus it includes complete head face neck anatomy including skin, injections venous and intra muscular.
POINT 3- Procedures - Should every dentist do all procedures? No. Once trained they can. Example - Have you heard of zygomatic dental implants? The dentist already injects and does surgeries in those regions. Can a BDS do hair transplant maybe no. Can an oral surgeon do it? Oral surgeon is the same person who would are allowed to do major surgeries in cancer or trauma of the head face and neck.
Yes certain procedures may not be allowed for dentists (my personal opinion) like treating skin diseases and lesions.
Procedures like facials are laser therapy are done in beauty parlors by those who are not even graduates. I hope I got my opinion across. Wish you luck :)

The “medicolegal system” is clear! Dentists are not allowed to do hair transplants. Hair transplants should be done only by dermatologists and plastic surgeons. It is a matter of time before the legal system catches up with dentists doing procedures they are not entitled to be practising.
Dentists, please restrict yourselves to the stomatognathic system. Or call yourselves beauticians and do facials. Chemical peels can lead to severe side effects if done without proper training. Please spare a thought to the gullible patients and spare them the adverse effects

Dermatology is not only concerned to face its related to entire body so I think you got it wrong girl….FACIAL AESTHETICS it is read it out loud!!!!
