Telewizja Polska S.A., also known as TVP and in English as the public Polish Television, is a Polish state media corporation that has a series of television networks (their three flagship channels, TVP1, TVP2 and TVP3, are featured in the video). TVP1 is the main public television channel of TVP and is the national television broadcaster of Poland. It was the first Polish channel to be broadcast on its launch on 25th October 1952. The channel was known as TV Polska until 2nd October 1970, when a second channel launched that day under the name TVP2. The line-up of that channel consists of a variety of programming (documentary, history, talk-shows, game-shows) although it focuses on entertainment, such as stand up comedy, comic shows, cabaret, and themed talk shows. The third channel, TVP3, was launched as TVP Regionalna on 5th September 1994, and this channel lasted for thirteen years until TVP Info launched in its place on 6th October 2007. TVP Info is a Polish free-to-air television news channel, which is still in service after TVP3 relaunched their television channel on 1st September 2013.
