It was about 4-5 years ago when one knuckle head started doing that grab the camera lens to change frames spiel and everyone frickin copied. So lame. Curtain brackets on the other hand…dope.

To what degree would you say having these diy skills has saved you money overall? I love watching your videos and I want to do lots of projects for my own home but I'm scared of how big an investment it is (I don't own a single tool haha) and whether I'll just end up letting the tools collect dust if I get them

To be honest I started with a glue gun and only the latter half of 2017 picked up a power tool. It's all about working your way in where you feel comfortable. I would choose a project that you know you'll do and actually use then go from there with the materials. Whether that entails a power tool or not!

You can usually rent tools from local or chain hardware stores if thats a concern. Or maybe borrow one from a handy friend

The rod does not get locked in place - would it not all topple down once you move the curtains?

Use it for some paper towel holders for the workshop. So rad😍😍

My cats would totally have it yanked out if the rod is left unsecured... I might try using a forstner bit to drill half way into the 2x4, and cut the rod to length, instead.

Well probably as it was when I first started my channel years ago and the whole point of this channel is to show the progression so humans aren't intimidated to just try it and hopefully do it better than me. Are you big spoon or little spoon?
