Thanks for watching it, I really appreciate it. Pikes Peak is such an amazing race. 2012 was probably my last year racing motorcycles there. I broke my back and had a really bad concussion the week before this run was filmed, gave it my all! Not sure I want to push it like that on a bike there again. I am working on racing a car there in 2013! Have a great day!!
have you done any other motorcycle racing since then Greg?
I think the sit up style bikes are best for this type of race. Because there are 156 turns and there is no sighting lap, committing to your front wheel on a superbike is tricky. The multistrada or hyper work well in this environment because you can make adjustments quicker when you all of a sudden lose the rear or front tire. We will see I am sure of that. To be honest the amount of commitment needed to go the speeds we did is pretty over the top. Thanks for the comment, all the best. GT
Hey Greg, killer run. What type of tires are you using by chance? Saw in previous videos you are using tire warmers, are those slicks or DOT race rubber. Keep up the good work CHEERS and Congrats.
Insane stuff man!
If they let sport bikes enter then they would win.
Has to be the best run up there, I've said before this inspired me to go buy one, after kidney cancer. I bought it and looked at it in my dining room for 6mths, whilst recovering.. 4yrs on still here. cheers Greg Tracy, I appreciated the Face book message you sent me, Top Man..
nothing but respect doing Pikes on 2 wheels, amazing stuff
That poor bike had to carry his massive balls all the way up that mountain
I am happy people have had the chance to see what the run up looks like. Funny it has always been such a passion for me and I really enjoy that my fellow Ducatista get to ride along. Thanks for taking the time to say hello.
Thank you!! The torque on the multistrada is pretty unbelievable! One of the things I love about the bike for sure.
Yes. That IS fast. Thanks for the ride!
Look at your videos man, you are bombing those hills on your little honda!
Ethan Dang
that's a completely different story from this here though
you? here? lol
Haha, I know right? :)
Those spectators have made strange choices on safe places to watch the race. I wouldn't trust those orange fences on the outside of a curve.
Ben Friedman captain sensible
My God man. I live in the mountains in SoCal and ride sportbikes, a superduke 1290r and a Ducati Pikes Peak. I thought I was pretty spiffy. Turns out, not so much. This video is inspiring, frightening, nerve wrenching and well... frightening. Holy Hell man, good stuff. Wow.
I like how you put it about the risk "Possibly not as much as some might have and more than others". Incredible riding, I am glad to hear that you made it through in one piece and are still getting after it!
Greg, you rock! Thanks for taking us along on that blistering ride. I'll never see the Pikes Peak highway the same!!!
Wow!!....that was 10 minutes of spastic, frenzied, adrenaline filled action. two thumbs up!
That is a super solid run!!! Just remember to give the Mountain respect like your surfing the biggest wave on the planet. If it wants the Mountain can bite you. Hope to see you there this year!!!
My heart was pumpin' just watching this from the couch lol.
So great and so fun to watch. Amazing sound on that Multi, cant wait to come watch you repeat this year!
Great riding and amazing landscapes .
Thanks for the vid .
my neighbor had a rare Ducati. 1972 400cc single piston. One of two still in existence of that model back in 1979. He popped wheelies with it all the time.
Thanks Eddie, You are going to love that motorcycle!!!! Tell Vince thanks from me for sending you to this clip. I have really enjoyed this race, put my heart and soul into it for 16 years. Hope to see ya on the track or trail one of these days.
If you never been there you could not understand how brave this ride was,it was epic.
Hats off to you Sir, when I drove up, very slowly I might add, I couldn't breath too well due to the elevation ,I reckon you would have been huffing and puffing a bit too !!
Love your work, love to see a clip of you at the Beartooth Pass !
Enjoyed chatting with you guys as well. Keep in touch, what a cool place Pikes Peak is!!
Absolutely Awesome! I was really hoping you'd post this! You have nerves of steel!
Classic!!! Thanks for that. I feel pretty lucky to have pushed it all these years up there! Best of luck to you.
11:02 I'm sure that's the spot that took Carlin out
I love watching this with my morning coffee. Starts the day just right
Simply breath-taking! The bends are so similar and landmarks/braking points so few, it must be a nightmare to try and learn. Well done to all who take part.
+Peter Kelly i don't understand those spectators. came all the way to pikes peak location and see barely one blink of second motorcycle passing by...... what a waste of time and boring.
You're unbelievably awesome dude, keep up the amazing work from a motoring enthusiast! :D
I figured either you were someone I didnt want to race or were messing with me! appreciate you checking out the video, All the best!
Did you carry oxygen with you for the run? Did you have to make any modifications to the bike to operate at such high altitude?
no IOM TT but does look fun!
i want a go :)
Thanks so much. My favorite time is very early am practice and the sun is coming up below you which casts a perfect shadow against the cliff of the bike. All the best.
killer ride man! a couple of times i felt my stomach drop watching ride near the drop offs and almost eating hay bales.. crazy skill
Thanks for that!! Its a crazy race. Raced up it yesterday in the rain, made for an interesting race.
Great run. Thanks for posting. Good Luck next month!
Powerful Multi. About lost my breakfast watching though.
That was so smooth love that sound. that's one great machine.
Took a VERY expensive car to beat a $15,000 bike. And only because Pikes Peak decided to pave the gravel road at the top.
I still remember that start. Game face was on and going for it. Great ride Greg.
It may have been an older video. This year the course was for the first time, paved to the top. I appreciate you taking time to watch it. I also checked out your youtube page and loved the Macau video you have up,
Wow! looks like you had a couple of hairy moments there & kept it nailed! thanks for posting, amazing vid
I wanna see the ghostrider do this on his turbo busa.
Simply Amazing!! Thx for letting us watch a work of art!!
I've driven up Pikes Peek before.. To see it done at those speeds in this vid is amazing!! Wow!
Sound!!! That's exactly why I've bought mine. I love my mts. I wish to see you do it again for 2013. Congratulation Greg.
Thanks, I want to see it live someday, mad respect for the TT boys!

Great video, You are certainly haulling the mail. Very impressive. Also nice save at 9:16 min mark looked uber scary..!
He was flying this weekend!! Electric motorcycles and cars are amazing!
Greg, met you this year at the first turn on the hill right before the start line right after the Puegot car went. Appreciated you chatting with us, really cool to meet you and will cheer you on in the future too!
Anyone else watch the video tilting their head to the side with each turn? 😂. I don’t know how this man was able to cart his massive balls up to the top so fast..lots of respect for this dude, I could never do something like that..I’m way too chicken! 😂 Love the video! Amazing talent.
Congrats on an incredible ride! Looks like you had to battle some serious frost heaves. Much respect, Greg!
Thanks Bradley! Funny thing is I was just watching a Isle of Mann video realizing how on the edge of my seat I was. All the best to you!!
Still loving this and remembering the event with the Ducati group
i drove a car up Pikes Peak a last year and was freaked out... HOLY SHIT YOU HAVE SOME BALLS! there was once or twice i thought you going off the side of the mountain... i have one word for this... AMAZING!

Thanks for sharing!!! WOW, Great ride!!! We just rode it last weekend on my FLHTCU. I'm pretty sure we didn't set any records....lol, but what amazing views going up and down :-) Wishing you the Best!!!!
Wow you have some serious talent man, congrats on the run and you are riding for the best team!
What an awsome run under 10.00 well done
pure awesomeness. I like to ride fast too but this is so brutal. You sir gained a lot of respect.
Maaan this crazy! You are awesome!
That´s a sharp, sharp driving. Thank you for raising my adrenalin, :)
You used literally all the inches of the road, never seen that!
Bloody hell that was exhilarating just watching here in my kitchen eating pizza. Top notch riding, Greg.
Greg, i'm Alessandro from Italy and you are my personal superhero! Congratulations for your bravery and your drive! Big Up!
Awesome video and awesome sound! :)
hope you're running this year, can't wait to see this first hand
Hey thanks for the post. I am honored! If you can make a ride across AFG I think I would be in. Keep up the solid work over there, be safe and look me up when you get back and all meet ya for a ride somewhere. You can always get a hold of me on, my life at speed
thanks again, Greg
Savage man, savage! Love the roar of that duke. Big moment at 9.25 holy vertical drop batman lol! Awesome dude.
DUKES are K.T.M.s.....This is a DUCATI.
Did this at normal speed on 8/4 with a group and we saw your bike at the top. It was really cool, had no idea it was going to go on to do this!
this was so tense! great run TT stuff right there
getting that lean on, great video, great exhaust sound 👍
great ride, great video...
Grats!! I love and own Ducati thanks for the rep!
It is an amazing road, I have had several of those moments there over the years!;]
Thank you. My guess is Loeb breaks the record by 50 seconds. The worlds best driver in the most amazing car ever brought to the Mountain. Planning on making the electric car record mine though;)
Great ride.. amazing lines, Greg!!
thanks, appreciate that!!
Amazing video! Well done Greg, you are one hell of a rider. It seems I under estimated the Mulit's handling as well.
Bravo Greg pour les images incroyables !
Congratulations for incredible pictures !
Quel talent !
What a skill !
They do handle quite well, fun to slide around for sure.. Thanks!
wow! now that looks like some fun. good stuff. i hope to have a run myself one day.
What an AWESOME run.
Great ride Greg! Awesome!!
Freaking awesome! Good riding! Great sound!
Absolutely insane riding
I live in the springs and regularly rode up pikes on a 2001 sv650 until last month, when i bought a 2014 multistrada 1200
A little humbling the way this video puts into context what that bike *could* do with the right rider on board. We'll see how I do when the snow clears off in a few weeks
i like how you did a little grass/flower landscaping with your flyscreen at 1:35. i salute you!
That was a great! Thanks!
Thank you for the reply Mr. Tracy. That is really nice of you. Wishing you all the best!
Nice! Very tidy run!! Im a FAN!
Thanks for the ride! Wow.
Much respect Greg!
Insane vid and skills.
Bike sounds amazing!! So exhilarating just watching this!!
Great job Greg Tracy, amazing road and the riding of that Torque 'NICE'.... lucky guy !!!! Sky
Awesome vid man. You got some balls.
It'll be interesting to see some downhill car drifting competition :)
That sound is fuckin' amazing...
nice vid. great driving. respect from germany
Holy Shit!!! My butthole was puckered the whole time and I'm just sitting here watching it in my living room! Damn good riding man!
Thank you!! I still get nervous when I pass that part of the course!
At the start of the race I noticed you were balls out, full of speed confident and looked so fast. But at the last two min of the hill you could see that fatigue and second guessing was setting in, and I started getting worried thinking that you were getting a lil outta control. @ 9:08 coming out of that turn is when I think more so than anything. Great Run, had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
I love how everyone at the beginning tells you to have fun and enjoy yourself! That set the mood. I had way more fun watching this video compared to Rhys Millens. Great riding man! The bike sounds beautiful btw. :o
Video is amazing , you Greg unbelievable rider. Keep what you doing, ride safe and please do visit Europe . You making all ducatisti proud. Well done.
