Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I wrote a description for a video, so if you actually read these comment '🌟' so i can keep leaving you secret messages here heheheh :))) Here is my baby hotdog, i love her to pieces and she is the newest member of the family!
Normally I find it difficult to share pets online since some people get quite angry about an owner who doesn't know EVERYTHING in the world about the animal, but i'll be the first to admit i'm new to ferrets, and although i do as much research as i possibly can (trust me bro), i absolutely do not know everything~! if you have any constructive criticism or tips and tricks i would absolutely love to hear them in the comments though, i'd love any help from experienced owners!
Disclaimer, she does not wear her bell collar anymore, or this little fluffy scrunchi on a regular basis! I am aware that ferrets can swallow things and so I avoid extra things at all costs!

welcome to the ferret club! Impressed you've already transitioned to raw as that can be tricky for some ferrets! Be careful with the squeaky toys though as they can stress them out or make them aggressive! Hotdog is such a baby, I can't wait to hear more about her

As a kid, I had a ferret too! Her name was Gigi and along with chicken breasts, she loved raisins too. She also loved going on walks with her leash on, and people always asked questions like what kind of animal it was. ✨
Omg I just recently adopted a new baby ferret too! Raw diet is definitely the way to go, especially with chicken. They also like salmon oil which could be a great treat while training. You can litter box train them, walk them outside on a harness, and play fetch. Be wary though as you ferret proof because they will squeeze into the tiniest places you never thought of like through 1 inch holes in cabinets, under stoves, or under couch cushions which can be dangerous. Hot dog is so cute and I am excited to see more of her in your videos.

They are adorable. The raw diet is the best thing you can do for these sweeties. I had four ferrets and they were all raw-fed. They are obligate carnivores so you have to be careful about the ferret food that's marketed for them since some of them really should not be eating. Our ferrets lived a long time. Ours were rescues. I do think, at some point, I will welcome a few more into our home.

I have the hammies on high surfaces now out of hotdogs range when she roams, and i dont have them out at the same time! I haven't had too much to worry about, she seems generally uninterested in the hams and I dont plan on introducing them. It seems to me that as long as the hams are vertically unattainable, they can coexist in the same house :)

A tip!: avoid squeaky toys as they stress ferrets out and can make them aggressive
