- When sentiment is bad, the highest-quality dividend stocks can go on deep discount sale. When others are running away, I take notice. This strategy has worked well for me with AbbVie (ABBV) and also Starbucks (SBUX). Now, I have identified 4 more stocks with negative sentiment right now. Do you enjoy a contrarian investing strategy?

0:00 INTRODUCTION
0:01 Warren Buffett: "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful."
0:48 SEGMENT 1: I WON BIG WITH ABBVIE (ABBV) WHEN EVERYONE ELSE WAS FEARFUL
1:48 AbbVie (ABBV) Google Trends - Huge spike in 2019 during the fear cycle.
2:46 ABBVIE (ABBV) DIVIDEND STOCK ANALYSIS
2:58 I bought at $67.76 and it's now at $145.11, because I bought a great dividend stock into the fear cycle.
3:33 PE Ratio-On-Cost of 6.19
4:08 Simple Dividend Yield-On-Cost is 8.7%.
5:11 I'm taking a look back in time at what I did right. I have been really right when I've been greedy when others are fearful.
5:28 KEY: I can only be greedy with quality, blue chip companies I know well.
5:51 SEGMENT 2: I ALSO DID GREAT WITH STARBUCKS (SBUX) WHEN EVERYONE WAS FEARFUL ABOUT UNIONS
6:50 KEY POINT: I know the numbers, I know the data. I only buy into fear when the fear is overblown based on my understanding of the fundamentals.
7:35 I look for mis-matches between sentiment and data! I need to be careful, because sometimes investors are fearful for good reasons.
8:05 In 2022, I added to Starbucks (SBUX) in a huge way. I understood what I was buying, and believed the union news was overblown.
9:13 STARBUCKS (SBUX) DIVIDEND STOCK ANALYSIS
9:35 In just under 1 year, I'm up 37.7%. I was greedy when others were irrationally fearful.
10:17 My PE-On-Cost is in the low 20s.
10:29 My simple dividend yield-on-cost is 2.8%
11:45 SEGMENT 3: JARED DILLIAN'S PRESENTATION AT MAULDIN SIC (Follow Jared on Twitter)
13:06 Millions of investors are fooled every single day in financial markets! They panic at the bottom and pile in at the top.
13:33 Take in all the sensory inputs to understand sentiment.
13:51 Bullish during lows, and bearish during highs.
14:00 Ian's Take: It pays to be a contrarian when the investor knows the investment well, and it's one of quality.
14:26 He looks for people making fun of those on the other side of the trade.
15:37 Newspapers report on the here and now. It's the present, not the future.
16:17 Regional banks are all the talk right now. Probably won't be the topic 6 months from now.
16:48 ABBV: I knew Skyrizi was just around the corner.
17:29 SEGMENT 4: DIVIDEND STOCK INVESTING FRAMEWORK
17:57 Step 1: Identify a basket of amazing, quality stocks
18:05 Step 2: Wait for a great entry point
18:33 SEGMENT 5: GREAT DIVIDEND STOCKS WITH TERRIBLE SENTIMENT (RIGHT NOW)
19:04 Altria (MO) 8.3% dividend yield - Is this the best sentiment stock ever? It's almost always out-of-favor.
21:29 Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) 3.0% dividend yield
22:57 Bank of Montreal (BMO) 4.9% dividend yield
24:34 3M (MMM) 6.1% dividend yield - tremendous negative sentiment right now
26:07 DISCLOSURE AND DISCLAIMER
DISCLOSURE: I am long Starbucks (SBUX), Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), PepsiCo (PEP), 3M (MMM), Altria (MO), Bank of Montreal (BMO), and AbbVie (ABBV). I own these stocks in my personal dividend stock portfolio.

(Disclosure and Disclaimer: Please see video description for all disclosures and disclaimers. I’m long ABBV and SBUX.)
A few years back, Ian's videos got me into Starbucks and The Southern Company under $50! Ian's the man, God bless, buddy!
You are too kind, my friend, but all credit goes to you!!! Wishing you a great one and God Bless! (Disc: I’m long SO and SBUX)
I bought Canadian bank stocks in March of 2020. People said I was a crazy idiot. I thought people were over reacting. Made a lot of money.
Hey Ian! I remember you talking a lot about ABBV in 2019... lol following strangers on the internet doesn't always work out.. but I'm very happy with this one. I got in ABBV in the $60s after watching your videos on it. It doesn't always work.. but you definately hit it big with ABBV! Great success story!
Thanks, Jake, for your very kind words! Certainly, they don't all work out so well, but ABBV is a really fun case study in sentiment, indeed. Mr. Market got so irrational about ABBV back in those days, for sure. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead! (Disc: I'm long ABBV)
ABBV is wild price now
I hopped on the General Mills train big time with Ian long ago. I haven’t added since 2019 and I still can’t get it out of my top 10 positions!! I owe Ian a lifetime patreon membership for that one.
So happy to have been able to learn from a trusted source about investing since the early days. Just want to say how much I appreciate your continued hard work. Your perspective and wisdom continue to be greatly appreciated!
Your kind words mean the world! Thank you for your longtime support!!!
Great video, Ian! You reminded me how foolish I was not to jump on the Starbucks train when it was below $70. But even Warren Buffet misses out from time to time 😢
Thanks for your very kind words!!! You never know, SBUX may be back below $70 someday. And, of course, it's important to remember that I'm just sharing my highlights in the beginning of the video. I've missed many opportunities too. Thankfully, the stock market will always present new opportunities. Wishing you a great week. (Disc: I'm long SBUX)
A 100% Ian!. I remember the PG stock back in the 80 USD because amazon was a great threat 🙂
Thank you for your kind words and for being here all these years, my friend. YES!!! I remember those days of PG too, what fun! Wishing you a great week ahead. (Disc: I'm long PG)
Same! It was the first dividend stock I bought and I love it!
working with an investment professional could help you prepare for life. While others were whining about inflation, I was busily cashing out my Diversified-portfolio, eventually earning more than $370,000 for the first quarter of the year. I'm grateful that I was able to get in touch with my coach, Joseph Sullivan Anderson, early in the year. Thanks to Joseph Sullivan Anderson, we were able to pay off our debt and begin saving for retirement.
I've got bad history with money and I've some terrible investment decisions in the past. I need advise since I want to retire early and also attain financial freedom. How do I go about finding this advisor?
My Advisor....would tell me that saving nothing is foolish, and that saving every cent that isn't already being used to pay bills or buy groceries is unreasonable if you want to retire early. A well-diversified investment portfolio is a must.
Joseph Sullivan Anderson, my advisor, acts as a fiduciary with substantial knowledge and doesn't guarantee absurdly high returns. It has been rewarding to work with him, and he has been very helpful in rearranging my entire portfolio. He is a great resource for anyone trying to understand the financial industry due to his extensive experience. I advise you to look him up.
That is a name I recognize. I believe I read about this analyst in a business publication Joseph Sullivan Anderson has a solid reputation and a keen understanding of how to profit from economic volatility..
My portfolio recently reached 6-figures, and here's what I have to say about it.
It is important to carefully analyze your options and keep an eye on the economy when investing during inflation. Make sure your portfolio consistently reflects your risk tolerance and financial objectives by reviewing and rebalancing it. A financial advisor can offer tailored advice based on your unique situation and assist you in navigating the challenges of investing during inflationary periods..
Thanks for the great video. Will this bad sentiment carry over to your Target holdings?
You sir are not a contrarian investor. I do admit you bought well in 2018. You want to know MY contractarian pick? Natural Gas. That has been beaten to a bloody pulp.
MPW is my favorite sentiment stock atm, although somewhat legitimate worries and questionable leadership, it has blown way out of proportion. The yield is ridiculous. Banks are great too.
Careful dude... an absurd dividend means nothing, if your stock goes to $2
Agree on MPW
Although my investing strategy has changed from DGI to ETF because of tax issues here in Europe, I still love your investing wisdom and insight that helped me to start investing and persist. Starting and persisting is the key :) Thank you Ian.
I have been a subscriber of this channel for at least 5 years. I still remember your video when you bought general mills. At that time, all consumer package stocks were out of favor, and general mills has had quite a nice ride upwards over the last few years. Excellent timing on that one!
Ian, been following your channel for 4 years now, to the day. You convinced me to step into abbv at $68 in my Roth! It's one of my best positions. As well as Starbucks around 80. Sold JNJ & MMM awhile back but thinking about getting back into those soon. I have a growth portfolio in a Roth and a taxable dividend portfolio with GS SCHW DFS UPS TROW MO PFE O DUK SCHD HD AVGO VZ ABBV. Thinking of adding MMM & JNJ. I want to add around $10k/yr passive in dividends to start. Much love, best of luck with your journey, you're killing it 💪💪💪
Thanks for sharing, my friend. Thanks for your many years of being here, and for sharing your journey and success!!! Way to go! Wishing you continued huge success! (Disc: I'm long ABBV, SBUX, JNJ, MMM, MO, PFE, O, DUK, and HD)
Great content as always Ian! 😊👍🏼
Your kind words mean a lot, thank you!!!
$VZ is another I would say where the sentiment is too negative now. A 7.25% yield on a market leader. I understand growth will be low or non existent, but the valuation level is very low now. Always a good job on the videos Ian!
Same. I am accumulating a bit more at these prices.
i def opened my position in ABBV back in 2019 as well!!
I’ve been buying Bti , pru , hormel and whatever down in portfolio
Ian,
I always love you’re humbleness and very insightful ideas! 👍
Always appreciate you’re love of Dividend paying companies and the love for the community at wide! Amen! God bless Brother always! ☝️🙌
MMM looks undervalued considering their financials are still solid. It will eventually turn around in the long run.
The goat! That’s the video that led me to my best investment ever Abbie !! At $67 :)
Good and informative video Ian, thanks.
Could you explain why you're more hesitant on 3M than Altria? 3M has gone down from recent highs much more so more of a safety margin it seems, at a pretty high dividend yield. Any specific concerns you have about 3M?
3M has several pending (heavy) lawsuits. One is because of insufficient hearing protection for the army. Another one is because of environmental concerns of using the chemical PFAS. Depending on the fines 3M possibly needs to pay, it could seriously hurt their business. There's even the possibility of bankruptcy if these lawsuits get out of hand and can't be settled with mild fines. Last week a Belgian judge ruled that 3M will need to pay people for endangering their health by polluting drinking water with PFAS.
well done video I call it buying unloved stocks the market is either in love with a stock or not in love with a stock because of some perceived problem but if you understand the business or perceive the situation to be temporary you can make good money from buying thee stocks
Thanks for your kind words! I like your explanation - well said!
hell yeah, ABBV! I love buying on the dip. I also started a position in NSC at 207, my first railroad. When you invest for the dividend you don't care what timeframe it takes for the stock to recover from bad news.
Thanks so much for sharing, Chris! Always appreciate your comments! Wishing you a great week ahead! (Disc: I'm long ABBV)
That BMO selection is going to look really really really good in 5 years, imo!
It will be so fun to see in 5 years. Wishing you all the greatest! (Disc: I'm long BMO)
Hey ian, whats your take on high yield vs high growth for long term? If i plan to tap in to the dividends for not less than 15 years from now, should i invest in low yield high growth or the opposite?
@ppcian have you considered picture in picture in your videos? That way you don't have to worry about timestamps for when switching to the spreadsheets. By the way thanks a lot for your videos, and greetings from Hungary!
Comerica is one negative sentiment stock i am picking up. As you mentioned, regional banks have all gotten crushed
I have been better served getting into stocks i like and DCA into them. Some great companies never seem to have a "good' entry point. Plus i use M1 for one of my portfolios. Set the target % for your positions and out of favor stocks will get more money by default. I have only had one occasion in my life where i had a big enough pike of cash to deploy in one shot where i was very concerned with price.
I have been growing my NSC position after the derailment incidents.
Thanks Ian.
Ian, ABBV was a great learning experience for me. I had a few shares @ $86. I made some rash decisions on selling and let my ABBV go for $93. It wasn't a large position, so it didn't "cost" me anything, but it was a lesson in holding dividend stocks long-term. I invest in my core ETF's regularly. But when an opportunity presents itself and I find good, solid dividend stocks at a good value in down markets I buy them up, knowing I'm keeping them long term.
Thank you for sharing!!! Wishing you all the greatest! (Disc: I'm long ABBV)
As a cash flow investor, you should add BDC’s and CEF’s to your presentations.
Great point!
This a good list, I also think LEG could be included. I actually think LEG will be fine long term so I have been buying. Once they get through 2024 the company will be in a much better position at least that is my view. Only time will tell : )
Right on, thank you for sharing! LEG is an interesting one, for sure. (Disc: I'm long LEG)
VZ - Verizon - is considered to be a dog by some, yet they still have a healthy dividend.
Thank you for sharing!
Hi. Can you please explain what exactly is the problem with Starbucks and the unionisation? Im from Europe and unions are just a part of company vs employee relationship, so i don't really understand the issue.
Ian! I’m buying a ton of $MMM stock! 🚀📈
Thanks for sharing!!! (Disc: I’m long MMM)
I work for an insurance company and approving Skyrizi routinely. It is slightly more than 25k and Humira was around 4 to 6k. I think Skyrizi will make up for Humira losing its patent. I do think Novo Nordisk is going to do well especially with the amount of Wegovy rxs I have approved.
Fabulous insights! Thank you so much for sharing!!! (Disc: I'm long ABBV)
funny you mention that, i just saw an ad on tv about it an hour ago!
Ian i really agree with you on starbucks union dip. The strabucks dip/plunge regarding the union stuff was really silly to me, even if employees did unionize or not. Every starbucks I go to (which is many) they are packed, mobile orders piling up on the counter, drive thrus stretching into the streets. The employees are so friendly and energetic I dont know how they do it. It was the media realizing pumping a story gets them views and clicks or who knows. I doubled the size of my position, couldve bought more.
Been buying Bank of Hawaii w/ 8% yield. Hawaii only has 3 banks and locals haven't taken their deposits out.
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I own BOH and almost mentioned that one in the video. I see some risk on the balance sheet the last time I looked, but overall I do agree it's a solid bank. I'm hoping to add a little more myself. Wishing you a great one! (Disc: I'm long BOH)
@@ppcian Great to hear!
With 3M, check the risk related with Dutch and Belgium legal exposure and liability.
What are your thoughts on target, 134.00 ish currently. I know you were positive on this last year.
I loved it with Starbucks. I love Starbucks and I believe in that brand.
I'm still just buying my weekly ETFs. Markets kinda boring but I have a decent yield rn
What is your opinion for VZ and PFE at current levels? Yields seems to be attractive.
Neat question! I have been looking at PFE, as I already own it and see some value there (due to uncertainty around their larger merger). Regarding VZ, I typically stay away from that sector (it's just not for me). I probably should have included PFE on the "negative sentiment list" in today's video. Thanks for sharing! (Disc: I'm long PFE)
Interesting you mentioned MMM, it is the best performing stock in my portfolio today (5/22/23), which has not been the case for a long time. As a wise investor once said "you don't make money when you sell an asset, you make your money when you buy it" Adding to MO, JNJ & MMM at these levels and happy to do so. Thanks for another insightful video!
Great point, my friend, on making money when you buy the asset! So true. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead. (Disc: I'm long MO, JNJ, and MMM)
Is this a good time to talk about $TGT?
There is no issue with MO for the next 10-20 years but as the last of the smoking generation start to die out I see consumer staples like HSY being a safer use of capital while still growing the div. at a good rate. The problem over the last 2 years is finding HSY at a good price.
Valid point! Thanks for sharing. I do love HSY as well. I bought it for my kids. It's definitely difficult to find HSY at bargain price! Some thoughts on HSY in this one: ruclips.net/video/kbpsWOedLaA/видео.html (Disc: My kids are long HSY)
I have a small position in UNIT (15% div !) and SABR (no div), bouth are under stress due to old debt, among other things. Thing is for UNIT the CEO bought 1mill of his own stocks, and SABR is one of Terry Smiths buys. Also have been stacking up on PFE in the last month as well.
BTI is another good tobacco stock. A lot of these (Altria, PM, etc) are negatively valued due to the cultural issues around smoking and the decline in consumption. But we forget that's not the case everywhere in the world. Whether you're a smoker or not or approve of it or not, they're really decent performers undervalued due to social stigma. British American Tobacco (BTI) is running a dividend yield of about 8.7% that's well covered by earnings & cashflow. Consumption in their primary market has been declining but they're projecting an uptick this year (people under stress smoke more?). Regardless, selling an addictive product that is very price inelastic that people disapprove of commands a premium and isn't likely to go away soon.
All great points! Thank you so much for sharing! (Disc: I'm long BTI, PM, and MO)
Remember when you said you wouldn't go over 40 positins!
They aren't buying $5 coffee, they are buying $7 coffee! LOL
Been adding to O at $60 and PM at $93.50
LOL - Yes, $7 coffee, bring it on! I don't even look at the price, personally. I just scan the app because I gotta have my coffee. Wishing you all the greatest! Thank you for sharing! (Disc: I'm long SBUX, O, and PM)
I remember the plad shirt against the plad chair. 😮
Yes!!! Thank you for remembering, LOL! Wishing you all the greatest!
Ian, any thoughts on USB?
Thanks for sharing! Not very familiar with USB stock, but will add to the list.
@@ppcian thanks! It’s US bank
Hello Ian, from a fan from Portugal...Another Great Video, and Lesson´s... I have my core Business on Dividends Stocks, on Energy like (UGI, EDison) and Pharmaceuticals (Medtronic, Pfizer, Merck) , i also like Boring Companies like Waste Manager, Veolia (european stock). Greetings.
Thank you for your kind words from Portugal! Thank you for sharing! Wishing you all the greatest. (Disc: I'm long PFE)
I've been loading up on BMO as well!
Great Video, i Like also BTI and CVS Health :)
Thank you!!! (Disc: I’m long BTI)
@@ppcian Maybe you can take a look on Vonovia, its a german real estate company with poltical problems atm, cause of the climate change in germany we "should" replace gas and oil heating with heat pumps at the beginning of 2024. I dont think this will come so far and the biggest landlord will find a way for sure, rent increases and depreciason with long term capital gains driven by inflation. In the long run, landlords always win
I think banks stocks are on great sale and they will recover eventually. I'm buying FHN as I have friends working there and I know the bank is in a great condition
Dome highly emotional down driven stocks are Medical Properties Trust, and Verizon
how come you never tell how many shares were purchased? I have looked around even in your downloaded excel sheet and there is no mention of it
This is for fun and entertainment purposes, as you can see on the screen right now
You know it!
Great video, Ian! You nailed it, couldn't agree more on buying when the sentiment is negative. ABBV seems to be one that goes through that cycle, SBUX has bounced back nicely and am long the others you mentioned as well, I picked up more MMM yesterday. I am always adding chunks of MO throughout the year.
We've been seeing this sentiment with the Canadian banks, the 4 I tend to buy and focus on - BMO, BNS, CM and RY. All have seen a decline from the collapse of the few US banks that have gone under, it's been a great time to buy especially with dividend yields being anywhere between mid 4 to high 6%. You're likely to see capital appreciation along with a nice dividend. You are correct with your mention of the government not wanting to see BMO go down, I do believe the government would make sure the banks were protected in the event of a collapse but do see that as unlikely.
Appreciate your insights as always Ian! Some of these stocks could be value traps. MMM for example has had a horrid management team for over 5 years now. CEO compensation has been in the millions, while stock returns have been over 100% (-50% returns while SPY has been +50%) below that of the index. How do they justify keeping them in place when returns have been this abysmal? Their legal team has been losing a lot of cases in the earplug hearings and PFAS related rulings haven't even started yet.
Thank you Ian!
In my portfolio I see Pfizer as the most out of favor. I will likely add with further weakness.
Around the market I’ve noticed PYPL and TSN. PYPL doesn’t have a dividend but is priced as if Apple will put them out of business…probably an overly negative sentiment. TSN isn’t the greatest company but their market cap recently slipped down to 16 billion with a book value over 10 billion(net of goodwill)…at some point the value is very compelling regardless of the short term headwinds.
I haven’t been adding to any😂 just watching
Great insights, Corey! Thank you so much for sharing! Thank you for your thoughtful comment. (Disc: I'm long PFE and AAPL)
@ppcian Hi Ian! Love your content. Since you asked about what co's could be potential a potential "value" i thought i might throw this one at you: International Paper $IP and British Tobacco $BTI.
For IP: Since the general digitalization of everything, you would think that paper is going to become obsolete, and yet we still use and need alot of paper. This seems to be a similar story to any tobacco company without the negativity.
For BTI: What can I say, you pobably know better than most here, but of all SIN stocks this seems to be a better value compared to MO.
Thank you for everything and have a great day! :)
Seems like all of the Canadian big 5/6 banks have taken an undeserved hit due to the American regional bank problems, not just BMO.
Right, but they just completed Bank of the West acquisition... Some people are thinking the 16.3 Billion acquisition closed 2 months ago is worth less than the purchase price and could dragged ressources and management focus and TD just walk away from First Horizon acquisition for obscur reasons (TD had regulated issues to address - resolved delaying the FHN acquisition) and shorts added pressure on those valuation. Royal Bank have a significant US regional exposure thru City National...
Hi Ian, I agre with out about BMO. In 2016 the Canadian Government put in a bail-in clause while passing the budget. I think BMO’s negative sentiments are based on purchasing the Air Miles reward program. Just my opinion......
Thank you for sharing! And, great insight on the Air Miles reward program. Wishing you a great one. (Disc: I'm long BMO)
PFE bottoming out? I agree JNJ is cheap rn.
I live in the Netherlands. There is a lot to do about 3M. Government of the province I live in is talking about claims for the PFAS 3M "dumped" in the water that caused damage to the environment. Fisherman arn't allowed to fish in water where PFAS is found. They are preparing for claims also. There are also reports of people getting sick from the PFAS the province government is putting together a plan to claim money from 3M for those people. Some farmers have PFAS on their land, they also want to get money from 3M. So there are a lot more claims coming for 3M. I own 3M but a bit to risky for me to buy more. And i'm not sure if i want to buy more/hold the MMM stock now I see people getting ill or loosing their business because of the MMM factory.
Your take on MPW ? 15% yield.
That's an interesting one, for sure!!! Thanks for sharing!
Are you still king on 3M?
3m i want to buy more but im having doubt:> i think im first (i was not)
3M is an interesting one, for sure! Sentiment is definitely negative on 3M right now. (Disc: I'm long MMM)
T share price is way down wow. It's wild.
Thank you for sharing!!!
Altria has such bad management. Big mess up with Juul, and they've underinvested in reduced risk products. There's a reason Philip Morris has a PE ratio twice that of MO
I am up 10.30% on WFC just from the banks failing.
#thuglife... I ignore the ESG story! The consumer is the boss.
I also like CSCO.
.
#ThugLife, indeed! Thanks for sharing, and thanks for mentioning CSCO. I look forward on taking a look!
I've been buying TD stocks. I'm Canadian and can't understand how this stock is the most shorted bank...ridiculous.
Btw, Michael Eisman from the big short shorted Canadian banks in 2013 and he lost on that bet on what was called The big white short. In the end, those who shorted Canadian banks that year...lost.
Wow! I did not realize TD is the most shorted bank, that is ridiculous. Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a great week ahead!
First
Thank you for being first! Thank you for your support!
PayPal has been on the ropes for a while now.
It's likely will cycle thru.
Yes! Its all about being a thug investor!
It sure is! Thank you for your longtime support, my friend! Wishing you a great week!
Sure, MO gives a great dividend.
Their balance sheet is great, but in my opinion, there are much better options out there because the stock has been stagnant and depreciated by almost 20% over 5 years.
With an annual dividend of around 8%, you'd have a total return of around 20% in that time or 5% on average.
You'd get much better results with VOO or Schd.
The stock prices will not rise either because of the nature of the business they're in.
Be careful holding cash on the sidelines! The data pretty clearly shows you will lose more money waiting for a crash than you will during a crash!
MO

So how about being fearful when others are greedy? Pepsi at a 39 P/E?
Sell and buy back lower.
Valid point. I don’t sell, so I’m just holding my PEP here, but it’s certainly expensive. Forward PE is in the mid 20s, but that’s still pricey. (Disc: I’m long PEP)
I've bought HRL Hormel Foods and ONB Old National Bancorp last week. Also just added a small position in TSN Tyson Foods, more risky but definitely some value there. Love and appreciate your content Ian.
Thank you so much for sharing, and thank you for your kind words! (Disc: I'm long HRL)
No need to read a ton of newspapers, watch google trends and so on. There is a much easier way. The value of a stock determines the sentiment. That's all you need to know. The daily value of a stock relative to its highest value. That's it's.
A rule of conduct that I impose on myself is not to invest when a stock marks a historic high or low. I invest when the stock is in the middle of an all time high and an all time low. It frees you from all that bullshit, people talk, around the future of a company because then nobody talks about and you escape all kinds of manipulation 😉.
I sold some mcd & sbucs to buy more mmm.
MMM like Abvee have so many products, they're not going anywhere.
MO is also being bought.
RGR continues to be a buy.
T is also cheap. I bought some recently.
Thank you so much for sharing!!! Great thoughts. I have been blown away with MCD's price appreciation. Wishing you all the greatest. (Disc: I'm long MCD, SBUX, MMM, MO, and ABBV)
Isn’t it likely 3m will cut the dividend?
I do not believe they will do so, but that would not be good! Will be interesting to see how it plays out. (Disc: I'm long MMM)
