What a joy Mark...!!! Unexpected accidental find... your video...!!! It is fantastic...!!! Ideal... So much beautiful and useful information for our education and world culture... There are NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS...!!! I am so glad I stumbled on your site and thank you for making my day today, a Saturday, so much brighter... Thank you again...
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this experience with everyone, I have learned something new today, and I have never seen such beautiful Koi. Really fascinating.
Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing this moment..you can see him stop momentarily to admire certain koi when first collecting them at the netting into the lorry. To own just one of those beauties would be a privilege.
saw a couple of days back a few vids of guys buying Koi fishes... one guy paid $55K for a 6 year old Showa (the red, black and white mottled one) and $47K for a 7 years old Tancho (white with a red dot on the forehead)
dependiendo del tamaño y de la variedad, la edad va entre 6 y 8 años, algunos crecen mas rápido que otros, o son mas "gorditos" que otros, el mínimo precio de uno de esos Koi ronda los US $12000
how old is a fish this big ? I realize the bigger the area , the faster they grow too , but are they 2 years , 5 years ? 10 years ? they look so healthy too
Me want the gold one, ooh wait a minuite I want the white and orange one, actually I want the black orange and white one, flaming Henry I want all of them.they are so cute and beautifull.who would have thought these gorgeous fish would come out of such a dingy river.xx💟💟
Interesting to hear that quality is measured by the eyesight sense instead of the touch sense. I only can see the size and color patterns. :) I liked the one with tricolor diamond shape on the koi side. Yeap, I looked at every single koi.
When the fish were back at the house and into the bowls for inspection, i noticed that they went into two different sides cn anyone shed any light, is he sexing them or just splitting up for type and size ?
I wish you would have talked about the prices I understand your going to mark them up up 2 2500x but your customers will understand look at the length you go to get them quality
Koi don’t need clear water, they need chemically clean water - pollutant free. Pond owners want clear water so they can see their Koi. Mid ponds contain chemically pure water, lots of space and conditions which are conducive to development, but you can’t see them.
Esses peixes toma calmante, realmente esses peixes n podem estar na natureza pq eles n tem a mesma valentia dos verdadeiros peixe para proteger sua especia
Hi Mark, can you explain as much as you can about the water. They are taken from dirty water to looks like clean water, is it the same temp and ph? etc. Thanks
i know you directed your question at the uploader, but I think I might be able to guess the answers to your questions. i'm no koi expert, just a casual fishkeeper. so take my answer with a grain of salt. first thing to remember is that (in fishkeeping terms) muddy water doesn't mean dirty water, i.e. it doesn't mean the water is high in damaging nitrogen compounds. as for the temperature question, i wouldn't imagine the temperature of the water is different enough to make a difference. koi aren't kept in heated water, so it's going to be the same temperature more or less. you might find the indoor pools are a bit warmer, but it's not going to be a huge difference. moreover, in my experience, lots of fish aren't really that affected by water temperature changes. sure it helps to get it right, but (to me at least) it doesn't seem to be as big a deal as it's been hyped up to be. of course, with tropical fish going from warm to cold might be a big deal; but for hardy, tolerant, temperate fish it's less of a worry. and mentioning the word "hardy" brings me on to the ph point. koi aren't wild caught discus, they are extremely hardy fish that have been domesticated for thousands of years. a ph change won't be that big of a deal for them either. these are also LARGE fish and large fish, in my experience, are very resilient and can withstand change more easily than small fish. it's 5 months later but i thought yours were some good questions and i thought i might be able to give answering them a go.

Mandy, not a dingy river, a carefully managed artificially made 'natural' pond
BEAUTIFUL healthy fish!
OMG i love them😍😍😍
That pool where the koi were transfered into looks like a Pollock. Fish by fish could somehow approach the price of a painting.
Interesting to hear that quality is measured by the eyesight sense instead of the touch sense. I only can see the size and color patterns. :) I liked the one with tricolor diamond shape on the koi side. Yeap, I looked at every single koi.
That is beautiful weather to me!, and it couldn't be more apropos!.
I love it too. The perfect misty rain.
When the fish were back at the house and into the bowls for inspection, i noticed that they went into two different sides cn anyone shed any light, is he sexing them or just splitting up for type and size ?

Its so amazing and I would like to take care of that fishes😃😃😃
How long would it takes to reach that koi sizes?
John Sasi , these koi are probably 4-8 years old
Depends on the balance of food and temperature. Warmed water and lots of food, 2-5 years. Slowly and kindly, 6-10.
Thanks a lot Dr. G for that informations
What is the price of these Koi fish?
今日の収穫でお家何軒建っつのかなあ?
How long does it take for the koi to get this size in the pond
These Koi would be 5 years and older
Why do koi live in mud ponds in Japan ? But need crystal clear water to survive back home here in the u.k, I have a few in a garden pond ,
Koi don’t need clear water, they need chemically clean water - pollutant free. Pond owners want clear water so they can see their Koi. Mid ponds contain chemically pure water, lots of space and conditions which are conducive to development, but you can’t see them.
They are just beautiful 😍

Maciel Peixoto ahan, essa espécie foi desenvolvida em laboratório
They look like big beautiful goldfish. Why do they use the word "harvest"??? Don't want to know.
Sacred Space they are placed into mud ponds to grow for the summer. When autumn comes they ‘harvest’ the Koi to sell.
This is probably massive man that was great....
is it hard to maintain their health ,,i heard like that from my friends ?
Not really, if you know how. Research and learn all experience first b4 you start
Chuck them in a large pond they do fine, put them in a small pond with gin clear water and they don't normally fair well.
They are natural in wild life?
Holy cow ! I never ever seen that big fishes in my life . No wonder it cost a lot of money .
You obviously don't fish, I've seen young cod bigger than that. For fresh water though, yeah, that is pretty huge.
Hi what the slope of your pond? Thank you
Very nice 👌😊
I never thought Koi fishes can grow really big !!!! Amazing 😲😉👏
Best Koi ❤
19:20 why this koi was not included with the other kois?
Amelia Andes these were being graded just because they are big does not mean they are perfect it's all about the markings and where and what colours
He said "first they've got to take a picture of this"
why all the koi look so docile? did they drugged them beforehand?
No, not at all
Specially bred for their personalities!
Great Video. Fabulous fish.
Amazing, the koi seek for his hands!!!! GOD bless!!!!
How long does it take for them to get that big?
from 5-8 years or so...
This is awesome to see. I bought a Isa showa a few months ago. I like seeing where my koi came from.
