This is not a fake. A couple years ago zippo started making cheaper lighters for Walmart and other big box stores. The constatine one you have is one of these cheaper versions. Not as solid as ones you get at smoke shops but it is still a real zippo
The walmart lighters are matte black or chrome but other retailers sell engraved and screen printed zippos and they are made cheap. Way less quality than a zippo bought at a specialized smoke shop. I know I have bought a couple. And have sent them in to zippo when the hinge went bad. Zippo fixed them and sent them back to me without issue.
Angelo P. You idiot...pay attention. You can only get base model lighters at walmart. That is what I am saying , flat black for $19.99 and chrome for $9.99. So have a good day fuckbag
Now, for some of the more obvious points that should not be missed by a collector :) - the stamped letters on the fake insert are tilted in relation to each other, indicating that each letter was engraved by hand. - the fake insert has Bradford misspelled as Bradeord. - the date markings on the fake insert do not match the case (it's a possibility only for pre-owned models).
I purchased a fake one for $4 and a real one for $20. Purchased both back in 2010. Both still work great. Would buy more fake ones since they are basically same quality and get job done and are cheap.

The difference between real Zippos and fake ones come down to when you need to service one for warranty. Zippo will not service a lighter unless it's genuine Zippo. So all of you say who cares as long as it works. Well that Chinese fake is likely not going to last as long nor will it have a lifetime warranty.
Exactly! I dont mind items from china, have couple of them, and they are fine too, but, if I one pays for original, one expects original. I dont mind buying this fake one, it looks solid, may go as "work" lighter, but not for the orice of a real one.

I think they only made 300 real Constantine zippos. They were released in Japan for the release of the film and go for over $2000 now. So any with a date after 2005 are fake
Yeah, stealing Zippo's design *and* passing it off as the real thing is kewl. *Until* it breaks and the owner tries to send it in for warranty repair...
