I used to bring up my ex boyfriend a lot after we broke up. i dated him for a big part of my life and he was very physically, sexually, and mentally abusive. when you date someone like that, they make your life revolve around them. so most of your stories and memories will have them tied to it. sometimes it just helps for some people to talk about it. I hope she gets better

To anyone saying she wasn’t groomed here’s the definition of grooming, “Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them. Children and young people who are groomed can be sexually abused, exploited or trafficked. Anybody can be a groomer, no matter their age, gender or race.” She was groomed no matter how you look at it!

i feel this video tries to portray nikki in a bad light near the end. she was in a relationship with her groomer and abuser for almost 7 years. you have no idea the emotional toll that takes on a person. if she still feels the need to talk about the effects it had on her and speak out against creepy guys like edward then so be it. there are many stories and comments on nikkis page of people who have been inspired to leave their own abusive relationships because of what she has said to this day. it’s still relevant to her it barely has even been a year since she parted with her abuser. also you brought up multiple instances where she brought up the situation for the first time ever on specific platforms or was asked by other people. for example like in her first episode of her podcast junk drawer. she can’t pretend like none of it happened or ignore it as if it didn’t have a big effect on her life. if you are going to make a video exploiting someone’s abusive relationship then at least do a good job of not making yourself look like an edward defender lol. and before someone comments that this video is an unbiased take, this video is anything but that. the “journalism” in this video makes so many biased reaches. because i seriously think you are defending edward here and it’s honestly disgusting. if you’re still butthurt about arcade craniacs breaking up then you need to seriously reconsider how problematic it is to defend edward still. nikki is working on amazing new content and has grown a lot.

For people who think she wasn’t groomed, I was a junior in high school when I was 17. I know people who are done with college by the time they’re 23. 6 years isn’t that bad unless you’re in two different points of your life and your level of maturity which they obviously were. Also I used to be a bit controlling in my previous relationships, so I can’t judge Edward entirely, but what he did was wrong and I hope one day he can see that and make it right.
