    Speed isn’t necessary it’s funny because it’s normally fast people who say speed isn’t necessary I’ve rarely seen someone slow say speed is unnecessary but I agree if you’re close speed isn’t needed

    Good stuff. Position, structure, accuracy. If you have these, going fast is not necessary.

    These are great videos. Can you tell me if Wing Chun has joint locks and takedowns or sweeps and chokes? A lot of the books I've read by the old Wing Chun masters said it is also in the curriculum but some of the modern instructors say no. Thank you for any help you can offer.

    Chan Sifu, thank you so much for this because I was in a sparring exercise with a karate/boxer and I think I learnt this but you added more to my little thoughts. I also would like to appreciate you for always adding humanity into this practice so that we can develop ourselves personally spiritually along with our physical development. I think that you are the best teacher I have ever had --- honestly.

    Speed is not as important as technique and placement of the body. Someone that has practices the same form a thousand times is more dangerous than someone that knows all the forms but only has did them 30 times.

    Completely agree with accuracy, speed tends to follow automatically as the mind becomes better at putting the body, hand, foot or whatever in the right place.

    What’s your understanding on head butting as a technique or in self defense against an opponent?

    • @axelstone3131
      @axelstone3131 3 года назад +1

      Last resort. More risk of hurting your own head. It’s like punching the head with your hand but your head.
