The 80’s were the best years of my life! I was 17 when this video was made. Walk down the halls at my high school, this is what you would see. The hair!!! 😁 the make up, the headbands, the bangles, the patterns, the earrings! 💕
I was 16 in 1987 and loved every minute of it. From the fashion to the music it was all awesome. Everyone in this video reminds of the people I use to hang out with in high school. I would so go back and do it all over again.
I'm 51 now and i really like watching these clips because they remind me of " THAT TIME" in history when PEOPLE CAME TO A CLUB TO ACTUALLY DANCE .... and we LITERALLY DANCED ALL NIGHT BACK THEN!!! Like .... from the time we got there til closing at like 5 am, 6am ,7am or LATER ( depending on which club you went to and what YEAR) I first started at Club Sensations 1982 to about 85, then Club Zanzibar 86 to 91 ( both in newark NJ) ,just once at THE PARADISE GARAGE Aug. of 1987 ( had i known how it was i probably would have gone more) and lastly Club SHELTER , NYC 91 to 96 ( regularly) and then off and on as TIMES started to change ... you started hearing of MORE & MORE violence in and around the clubs and after AIDS & 9/11 .... it just wasn't the same. HECK !!! AFTER PARADISE GARAGE CLOSED ... that was half the party crowd in NYC ALONE ... that had stopped going out. I went out here and there after but .... i can't type anymore, sorry 😢😢😭😭

The days of my life when I was young, excited and full of life....now I look back through dewy eyes remembering the clubs, parties, people and places where we danced to fantastic 80s pop into the early hours.....was the best decade to come to age in by far....I pity those who weren't there!

We used to call the spiky haired dancers Mods and I thought them the coolest. New wave and freestyle dance music was hot in 86-87 and i'd learn those dance moves at family parties. If only a time machine could transport a 17 yr old version of me over there; and pick me up end of Summer 87.
My hair would be 6 inches high with tons of hairspray and lots of makeup! My BFFs and I danced in all kinds of clubs! Those were truly the days and it was all about the music, fashion, the hair, make up and mostly importantly FUN!! We are now 57 years old and now I think our 40th reunion should be '80s themed! Lol.

My DAD had the same mohawk at 3:48!!! We both saw this video and came to sad conclusion...No one is having this much fun in 2020/2021! The music, the fashion, the hair, the social interaction!!! We were happy young people dancing and laughing. A tad young to worry about adult stuff like politics, stock market crash, real estate prizes and banks. We had no Covid-19 but there was HIV. And we had the BEST music! The latter is confirmed even by people way into their 70s now. I'm so grateful for this clip. A bit sad when I compare my miserable life today. Thanks for sharing.

We were happy young people dancing and laughing. A tad young to worry about adult stuff like politics, stock market crash, real estate prizes and banks. We had no Covid-19 but there was HIV. And we had the BEST music! The latter is confirmed even by people way into their 70s now. I'm so grateful for this clip. A bit sad when I compare my miserable life today. Thanks for sharing.
