Thanks so much! Using the existing cover as a pattern was perfect! I just couldn't wrap my head around making the boxed corners. They seemed too deep.
🥰I suggest adding 1/2" to the sides and the top to allow for a seam allowance. The seams should lie better. I used oilcloth so the dust comes off without going through to the machine.

I used the plastic one as a pattern and made a cloth one for my serger. Worked great.

I used my serger cover that came with my machine to make a pattern. if yours came with one I'd recommend that. Here are my measurements and I hope this makes sense.
cut non directional fabric 23 wide x 18 high. the 18 is ON FOLD. If using directional fabric then cut 2, 23x18 pieces and sew them right sides together. I cut a 5 inch square off the top to box my corners. You can use up to 1\2 in. seam allowance. Hope this helps.

I cut non-directional fabric 23 wide by 18 inches long. The 18 inches is cut on fold! So that will be a 23 x 36 when you’re finished. I cut off 5 inches for the square at the bottom to box my corners. I hope this makes sense.
