- Hi everyone. I'm sorry if it took so long to upload this video that i took Joseph to vet.

Why don't you think you'll ever be able to have a cockatoo??? I had wanted to be a cockatoo mom ever since I was 12yo and FINALLY became a cockatoo mom at about 46yo. I was both so cinfu and HAPPY at the same time!!! Sorta like when you bring home a brand new baby!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL!!! However I now have two of them and they're ALOT OF COMPANY!!! They've been a great addition to my world and my family!!! 😊

Joseph is so well behaved...Such a sweetheart! Diet is so important. Too many seeds tend to cause problems and may also upset their tummy. So important to give him lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.... Instead of seeds which can sometimes causes liver damage , I feed my bird Harisson's organic pellets... Fruit (apples, bananas, mangos, pears or grapes) for breakfast... I add carrots, fresh greens beans, lettuce, or fresh snow peas to his pellet bowl so he snacks on them all day.... Then for dinner steamed potatoes, sweet potatoes, or spaghetti to which I add a frozen vegetable (rinsed in hot water to defrost & to remove salt)... My birds favorite frozen veggie are the grean peas... He may not like eating a particular vegetable at first, but I just kept including it in his bowl and now he loves them!! 💞🐦💕
His poor little heart looks so sensitive to ladies` vibes, lol! A definite sweetheart❣️
When she started talking to him so sweetly he was mesmerized! Then he didn't want to get on the scale because he was too busy trying to snuggle with her lol
His dad has such a wonderful relationship with him ❤️

He is so adorable! I love the little dance in the car . Bouncing back and forth on each foot. He was like, really, I don't want to get back in the carrier. Such a pretty bird.

I loved so much when the vet was doing something to his head and Joseph screamed and you were saying with so much emotion "daddy's here" you can really tell how much you love your baby just like any mother or father would be like if their child was scared and screaming you comforted Joseph with your voice!!❤️❤️ I love your little family so much!

What I really love about your videos is that you can tell how much you care for him... You are so sweet to show him such love. He is special.
He seems calmer than a lot of cockatoos. I know they have their own individual personalities but I think because you keep your voice so calm and quiet, he doesn't get escalated as easily.

My note to you didn't have anything to do with the doc visit or his molting just something I heard from Max's owner to make aware. Not trying to be negative or think I'm trying to be Vet. Sorry I did not want to offend you Es. I had heard years ago that some hair dryers were not good for people because of some internal parts giving off harmful particals. I'm only trying to help. Joseph is amazing and he makes so many people happy..he can only give what he is given.
Ignore the ignorant and celebrate the positive...enjoy Joseph and all of the joy that he brings to you, your family, and your viewers. That will cover all of the negative thrown your way.....it is always going to be there....let God deal with the mean.

Smirnoff is in the middle of a heavy molt now too. I was going to suggest that Joseph was probably molting, but I'm not a vet and figured you two would know best what to do :)

It's so sweet to see this innocent creature when his mom comes from work and shows all the excitement and love for her. Would love to see when his dad comes home. What a great boy.
If Joseph has feather issues, maybe I can suggest something: my adopted U2 had some health issues in our first year. I switched his diet from colorful and fragrant 'fun' pellets which his previous owner used to give him to Harrison's. There was a huge difference in his health. He has no issues and his plumage is gorgeous.
Joseph is so well trained and sweet. You are such a good owner.

I like when I see birds interacting this closely in tune with their “peoples”. I strive for the same kind of relationship. My birds all genuinely like people. The vet always says they behave so well. Joseph looks like a very sweet umbrella ‘Too. My conure who was with me 34 years seemed to understand that I could do magical things like drive a car or turn on lights things I would always warn him before I turned BC it would startle him. He always acquiesced to my will even reporting when the other birds were misbehaving calling me with a special call to tell me about it. I learned to recognize it and come running whenever he felt the need to call in reinforcements 🤷🏼♀️🦜I sure miss him. 💔
What a patient master you are! The trust you give him not to take a chunk out of your ear is so important because he will out-live you and your friends 😂😂🌈

This video is a great reminder of how birds (the bigger ones mainly) are forever mentally 2 years old despite their actual age so it's a great idea to think real hard about can you handle a 2 year old when you're in your 80's? Plus these sweeties out live us to! Joseph, you're the cutest flirt!!!

I just came across your videos a few weeks back and just have to say Daddy and Mommy LOVE Joseph and vice versa. Joseph is so well behaved! I love birds, have only had pet parakeets in my life (and dogs) but I see what a commitment having a Cockatoo would be. I would love one but I wouldn't have the time for one. Anyway, thank you for these lovely videos. Not only are they entertaining but they are educational too.
