Cameo!! Sunday nights was 'Disco Inferno' and mercy what a blast! Fri and Saturday nights was called 'Industry'. Cameo was THE place to be Fri thru Sunday nights circa 1989 thru 92 ish. And also...Kitchen Club on 21st and Club Nu diagonally across on 22nd st. South beach is unrecognizable now. My friends and I were a mere 13 yrs old when we started getting dropped off there. On beach side, there was a parking lot and some dude on a motorized scooter he made from a go cart motor I think...? He would end up opening The Thrash Can about 4 yrs later with Bobby and Barry and scooter dude is still one of my best friends to this day. Old school South had all the SBR's, us Gables kids, the Kendall kids, Miami Springs etc and 1st street was our barrio! Then Penrods came, then went bye bye and by 92 I'd say bye bye to Miami and bolted out! I'm always uber nostalgic anytime I see anything Miami!
Your so right!! 14yrs old our parents dropped us off at Nepenthes in Broward then we would sneak in Backstreets later!! City Limits, Baha Beach Club, Club Mirage omg I could keep going...but the best was Cameo in Sunday nights disco inferno ...foam parties...oh the memories...Club 1235, Facade, Macos...on & on Best times of my life and I am so grateful I experienced it all!!
@@azalellabeyonna9255 yes!! I remember City Limits but not as familiar with Broward scene as Dade cuz mercy, we had all we needed from 1st street in day to 5th st to 22nd st, Club Nu at night time! Club 1235...we saw Midnight Oil play there and ummm shoot drawing a blank on another band but yes that club was huge but we went there for concerts mainly. I left summer 92 and i dont recognize the other 2, but maybe came on scene after I left. But I did visit every few months the first few years til 1997 and maybe went to those but dont remember name. Island Club, Washington Square was our after hours lol as if such...but Marilyn Manson would play there b4 famous and their fans would carry around old school tin lunchboxes. My friends hung out with them one night in a...cemetery in Kendall...I took a pass on that one! Mercy I could type 24 7 365 bout old school south beach!! ☮ out and thanks for sharing!
Dam everyone was normal. No designer cloth just regular shit. No COVID. No monkey pox. No phones. Man times were good back then. Dangerous but fun. South Beach Posse always held court outside this club.
Dj Jorge Jet. One of the best South Beach dj's at the time. Amazing mixing skills! was an inspiration to many!!

I had no idea she had passed
difference between then and now is that people are dancing instead of staring down at their phones
Miami was the best for clubbing 80s and 90s now is so crappy
Awesome memories
What year was that? 1993?
Ive been there!
thanks 4 sharing these videos...but are they from 1990 or 1993? william/miami

Isn’t this the same club that Prince bought and renamed it “Icon”?
Nope. It think he bought 1235 which later became Decos and Level.
Prince's club was called Glam Slam at 1235 Washington street.
más interacción. ,sin esos terrible teléfonos móviles
i think it was 93
