Lots of action, all business, entertaining, and fun to watch.Hight level of play.Pickleball, and the players just keeps getting better and better. The game continues to evolve for the better.
What a fun game to watch! Banging galore...Rob, you're always such a pleasure to listen to as a commentator. Hope the Dr. Berg's electrolytes worked for you in Hawaii ;) Regarding hydration breaks: Reffing a pro match at the Hawaii Open, one young gal was having a lot of problems with the heat and asked for many hydration breaks. I could see she was struggling and allowed her quite a few but I only allowed 15 seconds. Her opponent was very gracious and never said a word. The gal who was struggling eventually had to withdraw. Safety is a big concern of mine. Why? Because as a cancer survivor, chemotherapy has taken its toll on my system. I dehydrate very quickly (plus I'm older), and really appreciate having water breaks besides the regular breaks. Passing out is no fun!! But I also understand that there should be rules around them. :)
The serving side has 4 points, both shall be serving on the ride side. No? The lady was serving on the right side, then the man is serving on the left side at 56:12
Ben? Is that you commentating? Nice! But I have to wonder how many northerners are thinking "138 degrees?! Does it really get THAT hot in Texas? Lol! But seriously, I agree with your comments on the hydration breaks. Scott Moore abused the system to break the momentum every time Wienbach and Anderson got going.
Seriously I'm so confused. Trying to figure that out the entire time. I guess maybe the way they got to the championship Weinbach was ahead by a game so he only needed to win 1 out of 3? No clue.
The tournament is double elimination. Moore/Naumu had lost a match earlier in the tournament and came up through the Consolation Bracket. Since Weinbach/Anderson hadn’t lost any matches prior to the finals, there was a tie break game.

Don't know how I feel about that court. It's fun to look at but, black lines and different contrast surfaces? Don't know if I'd like playing on it.

The team gets 3k each, or do they split it??
Why did the ref wipe his hands across each player's paddle before the match? What is he looking for?

Why is the third game a tie break game when Moore/Naumu won both the first two games - ?

What is the starting age to play for Senior tournament? How old is Weinbach?
50 to both questions. :)
Wow! Dave Weinbach with 3 foot faults in a row.
MORE and NAUMU won the first 2 games but lost the third one (break game) so they lost the match?
Believe it or not.....Players get $3,000....Referee gets around $15 (If they are Certified) for a Gold Medal Match...WHAT!!!!
#585 on the mic...again!👍
Commentators great at stating the obvious. Worse than Mark Renneson. Had to turn off the sound
Not quite as bad as that Reneson guy, but I agree.
