    I didn't necessarily want to like your video bc I have seen all these polished planting how to care for bromeliads videos and yours was dying lol.
    However THAT was the point! You made this look easy and I do like your method of separating the pups.
    I find it especially nice that you will give the clone pups to friends in the new year.

    I'm looking this up because my mil has one but left it without sun. The root seems to be in good standing but all the brown came right off (literally). Is hers completely gone or will the root system pick back up if I bring it home and take care of it? I'm lost. I no nothing about these plants. I saved all the brown aged parts too. Maybe I sound completely ridiculous but I honestly have zero clue about this. Give me a lemon seed or tomatoes and I can make it grow but this one is far from my league.
    For some flowers picking off the dead parts will help save energy for new growth? Is it the same for this or is mine a lost cause?

      Well you have to keep it in a pot and keep it moist but not wet and see if it gets better.

      @@sigmasix3719 it was goner before I took it home and out of the pot 😭. Thankfully, I've learned more since then ❤️ it wasn't mine but my MILs and I was trying tying to save it for her. I appreciate your comment. Next time will be better!!!!! 🤞

    I’m not an expert, but when you remove pups from the mother plant, you don’t just tear them off. You need to use an exacto knife or razor to remove the pup and the roots. I hope your pups do well with no roots 🤷🏼‍♀️

      That is great thank you for the comment however pups and mother plant have their own root and need to be separated gently to avoid damaging the roots and I agree with you a X acto blade is a helpful tool, That Plant gave me 5 pups and 2 didn't make it but 3 of them did wonderful thanks for asking about them.🌻🌺🌼🌷

      What kind of soil did you use?
      Bromeliads grown indoors thrive in fast-draining potting soil that holds moisture but drains well. A mixture of two-thirds peat-based soil and one-third sand is often ideal. You can also use orchid mix, charcoal, or soilless potting mix

    What kind of soil??

    • @adarealestateteamkellerwil7923
      @adarealestateteamkellerwil7923  2 года назад +1

      You can also use a 50 / 50 mix of orchid bark and standard potting soil. Bromeliads aren't picky just make sure you don't over water it the root easily.
