I just ordered this bible for my birthday. Perfect timing! I am so scared to even put a pen to it. This was very encouraging and a good reminder to stay focused on the Word and not about making it perfect and pretty. I've heard that a worn bible is better than a brand new one. I do have a couple bibles I feel more comfortable writing in bc I've had them for some time. I wanted a "stay at home" bible and one that is interleaved for more notes. I love the idea of passing it down to kids! Great video! Grace and Peace from the Midwest 😊❤️
Back in 2020 the manufacturer for TRP had to change their process/machinery so the “old” original TRP that everyone had loved changed and they started producing “new” TRP. This was short lived and then decided to discontinue production completely. Definitely caused an uproar in the FP and planner communities. Then they announced that they decided to sell their rights to Sanzen who’s been making the 52gsm TRP for a while now. It’s hard to find old anymore - especially looseleaf and new is also hard to get. But Sanzen TRP is readily available. Although it’s different not all the differences are bad. It’s quite nice. Generally speaking pens dry faster and there’s less ghosting. But there’s some other great thin paper options even a printer page from Kokuyo. Loved the video.
Wonderful video, I also love Faith, I have her Bible Study Plan, Boot Camp. You gave me great ideas. I have enjoyed my Interleaved ESV. I use beige/cream whiteout that really makes corrections look seamless, Amazon Zonon 4 piece correction tape beige color. They last forever!
Bible College grad here! Thank you so much for telling your viewers to read the preface to their translation! It’s so incredibly helpful for understanding the text and knowing how it compares to other translations as well as any theological biases the translation may have (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just helpful to know). Anyway, thank you for pointing folks towards informed Bible reading!
Thank you for sharing. Just ordered this same Bible for journaling. I also have been following Faith. Enjoy her videos. Enjoyed your video also. Appreciate the items you listed. It really helps.
I’m So happy you’re doing videos like this again! I started my Bible study a year ago because of videos I watched from you and a couple of others ; I adopted your highlighting system back then please do more Bible studies Bible study / related content
Oh, wow! I've only ever seen interleaved Bibles in videos. Never in real life. I just assumed they were for writing in. It somehow never occurred to me that you can add all kinds of study helps! It's like your own, homemade study Bible. Amazing! I also somehow didn't know about those Bible Project posters. How cool is that!
Sterling ink has loose tomoe river paper -A5 which fits any Bible or you can put it in a ring binder and it is also Gold edged . Her stuff is absolutely beautiful . She’s on RUclips
Great Video! Faith actually sent an email advising that this Bible is on sale for $38 at Amazon. I was on the fence if I should buy another Bible…thanks to your setup (my style) and mentioning Faith…I’m going to buy it! I always wanted to add the Bible Project Posters to my Bible and I will be doing so in this Bible too. Also, they have cream color white out.
I sent an announcement about the sale in my newsletter too 😁 It’s a great price!!!! Have fun using yours 😃 And I bought some cream colored white out ☺️ can’t wait to try it 🤩
Very nice video...I really like how you have placed your notes, with the washi tape, color strips, and stickers here & there. Pretty! Although I don't color-code verses or passages, I really love how you set your color-code guide up in the back. The flip-out page is genius!! I have the same Bible that you have, though I only have book tabs for 8 of the more important, more used Books (such as Acts, Isaiah, Psalms, John). From those tabs, I am able to quickly flip to the Book I want to get to. I did choose to make some subject tabs which have been helpful for quick reference. Faith inspired that idea...also a brilliant idea. My other 'big' Bible is the ESV Study Guide which I fully tabbed. That Bible has many more tip-ins... there are so many tip-ins that the spine began to split. So now my Study Guide is more of a resource and my Interleaved is for most of my reading, notes, and reference material. Thank you for sharing so much. I appreciate the added lyrics to songs. I have added lyrics from a few hymns, my favorite being A Mighty Fortress is Our God (inspired by Psalm 46).
Would you have any tips for printing the Bible Project pages to fit this particular Bible? A4 too big, a5 too small, and I’ve tried adjusting scale to print and keep having issues. Any advice gratefully received ☺️
This is inspiring and wonderful. Could i just paste the posters onto the blank page at the beginning of each book instead of tipping in or is there not always one opposite each first page ?
I absolutely love what you’ve done with your bible! I’m very new to bible studies and bible journaling. Your videos are great. I do have one question: what is Club 119 and how can I find it? Keep up your wonderful work! God Bless
I should have mentioned this in the video 🤦🏾♀️ The Club 119 Collective is my online community. If you scroll to the bottom of the description box, you’ll see the link ☺️
Great video!! I am curious how you scale and print you Bible Project tip in's? I have tried to scale but the words become so tiny. Thanks for doing this video!!! :)
I just take the image and size it in a document. The words do get small so I just consider anything I can’t read as reference points to the video. In other words, I’ll watch the videos for anything that isn’t clear in my posters ☺️ Hope that helps!
I use several different pens - I use Pigma Micron & Sharpie felt tip most often in this Bible. For tip ins, I copy the images to a document and size it to the dimensions I need.
Love the video!! These are great!! Do you find that you have a lot of bleed through with this Bible? I have this bible but the leather wrap around one. What pens have you found that are best?
I definitely have some ghosting and bleeding. I used to be more particular with the pens I use but now I use a few different kinds of pens at random. I’ve found that if I’m too particular, I overthink and won’t take notes because I don’t have “the right pen”. I really like Pigma Microns and Sharpie felt tip pens the most ☺️
I honestly don’t remember - it’s been so long 🙃 I usually focus on dimensions of the Bible page. So I would measure the size of the insert you need and then size the image on the document accordingly ☺️
I have this Bible but the font is so small. I like the ESV and that’s what I usually carry to church. I just received my NKJV interleaved Bible and it has larger font. I’m not sure if this will be a “notes” Bible or an art Bible. I try to keep them separate.
I have ordered a set before, it is a 4 pack, I think Zenon was the brand? It works fine and will last a lifetime, lol. I use cream colored Sansen TRP often.
What size do you print your printables? I have the same Bible, and everytime I try to print out templates and bible recourses, they’re either too small or too big.😂
I do one of two things - I measure the Bible page and size my images accordingly or I just eyeball it 😜 Sometimes it takes a few tries before I get it right but I make it work eventually ☺️
I think the ESV interleaved Bible is the better of the two based on reviews that I’ve seen on RUclips. And they’ve all mentioned the paper which is too bad because the NKJV version has a 9 point font. The ESV font is so small. I would need readers but I’m literally praying to run across someone in real life who Has one of these so I can see what the Bible is like in real life before I buy one and buy some companion readers hahaha.
A ‘tip in’ is a piece of paper that you add into a book. There are a couple different ways I know to do it - glue and tape. Bear with me, I don’t know how to explain without showing 😆 Definitely check RUclips for tutorials. Glue - I put stick or liquid glue on the edge of the page I’m inserting and stick it into the Bible, in between the pages. I do my best to nestle the page as deep into the binding as possible. I close the Bible and let it sit for a bit and it should stay. Tape - Using washi and/or scotch tape, I place a strip of tape down the length of the edge I want to insert, with the tape halfway on the paper so there’s an exposed sticky half. That sticky side then gets nestled into the gutter, in between the pages. I feel like that’s clear as mud but hope that helps! 😅
We need a you and Faith collaboration PLEASE!!❤❤

Not silly at all! That’s awesome 😁

I’ve never used binding glue! I’ll have to look out for some.

what does 'tipped in' mean and how do you do it ? thanks
A ‘tip in’ is a piece of paper that you add into a book. There are a couple different ways I know to do it - glue and tape. Bear with me, I don’t know how to explain without showing 😆 Definitely check RUclips for tutorials.

I feel like that’s clear as mud but hope that helps! 😅
What kind of ink did you use for on the vellum?
I have an old laser Brother printer and use off brand toner 😜
The BibleProject overviews how did you get the posters to print that size?
I copy the image to a document and size it to the dimensions I need before printing!
