That marble thingy is so bad it managed to annoy me through the screen. I'm imagining fidgeting with that on my Spanish class and dropping that marble...I think my teacher would lose his marbles, too. 😂
Hey Jackie, i think i saw them putting all those zipper bracelets into one loooong bracelet, wrapped several times around the arm. Have you tried doing that yet? I wonder if that saves this fidget toy for people with sausage arms, as you put it. Link all 5 and wrap around 4 times maybe?
Maybe the price keeps going down because it left a cookie in your browser and assumes you didn't buy it the first time so it hopes to lure you in with a cheaper price. The same thing happens with some store websites when you put something in the cart and leave. You'll sometimes get a discount code in your email a half hour or so later
Many long moons ago, there was an item (I hesitate to call it a toy, as it was just as ornamental as it was fun) called a wire mandala folding flower. I know they must still be out there somewhere, and mine gave me both great pleasure to play with as well as pleasing designs to meditate on. It was made of stainless steel and smoothed stone beads in natural colors. If you haven't already tried one, you should see what's out there and try one.
I got one of those as a gift in the 90s! I glued it to a journal, with one side free to move and the other cemented to the cover. Now I need to go look for that... It's here somewhere!
Jackie is back, with more fidget toys, yay! I love the zipper bracelets, it gives me some ideas for making something out of zippers, maybe a cuff with different ones sewn together...
I watched a different reviewer (reviewing other stuff not fidget toys) on RUclips, and I just got a massive "This is a Paid Actor" vibe from them. Just wanna say thank you Jackie for keeping the genuine human aspect to your videos. I like seeing videos that feel like they are coming from a real person and not a company. 😊
Welcome back Jackie! I like the little Globby guy, but I agree I think I'd also be worried about the little cap on his head coming off over time. I love toys like that with the sand feel. I used a couple for physical therapy after I had tendon surgery on my hand. Those and the slow-rise squishies were my favorite for strength building.
Hello Jackie I just want you to know that I have always loved your videos ever since I was in the 7th grade I am a blind grain and I really enjoy your content it makes me so happy to see your content
Although I don't fidget, I would say you graded them well. The fingertip one definitely seems like the best one. The four Wacky Knacks are pretty bad (and incovenient) even as a toy/puzzle. A complete waste of plastic.
Welcome back from vacation, Jackie! I hope you had an amazing time relaxing and spending some much deserved time with your family! Love you and all your content!
Sooo good to see you back Jackie. It felt like catching up with a friend you've not seen for a while. Hope you had an enjoyable and restful staycation xx 😊
Happy New Year Jackie! 🎉 Wishing you a wonderful 2022. So glad you are back from your staycation. Your video is exactly what I needed to brighten my day today. So glad you're back sharing yourself & your wonderful content again. 😊💜
Sometimes it feels like neurotypicals tried to take over the fidget toy industry and TOTALLY missed the point. It's not supposed to take all of your focus not to screw it up!
Finally!!! Someone noticed! I have Tourette’s syndrome so things that require focus just frustrate me and make my tics worse Also can we stop with the whole “neuro typical” term? I feel like It’s turned into a bad thing.
@@yeobinkim8826 Hey!! Tourette's here, too! I completely relate. The term definitely does a lot of bad and good. It has a genuine meaning that initially began as a way to distinguish autistic thinking from what is now called allistic thinking, and it's been expanded to encompass ADHD and a number of other divergent types of thinking. As with any group of people that has encountered oppression, there is certainly a lot of charged sentiment that goes too far. However, it is still an important distinction to make in our fight to be treated more humanely. In fact, in a large sense, I agree with you. Often times, we label things "neurotypical" that more accurately describe a different kind of divergent thinking, and it's not a label I like for individuals because I'm not a psychiatrist and I can no sooner say what someone doesn't have than I can say what they do. And it sucked having people tell me, for years, that I didn't have ADHD because I had never been diagnosed. At this point, I've been formally diagnosed twice, but back then, the invalidation from peers and being assumed to be a "neurotypical with particular needs" was not helpful. It was isolating. In this case, however, it can't be doubted that the neurotypical world sees fidget toys as distractions. It's like how I got in trouble for drawing in school, even though it actually helped me pay attention more. I had graduated well before they became popular, but I've heard that it's gone much the same way. So it would make sense that the same type of thinking would lead to confusion and oversight as far as what constitutes as a "fidget toy" for those of us who are genuinely helped by them and don't just want them for entertainment value. It's a fair matter of advocacy, but I am genuinely sorry that it does often play out as bitterness and anger within the neurodivergent community. We can do better, too!
@@yeobinkim8826 Yeah that term can be pretty silly sometimes like I have seen people who assume 'neurotypicals' have no interests which is just not true or that they are somehow bad because of how they were born which is not fair also people cannot even tell if someone is neurotypical or not sometimes because like with dyslexia you cannot see it and they have very different needs to someone with epilepsy so even having them in the same group can be unhelpful sometimes, plus! Plus I have found that people who say that word also say bad things like autism is not a disability which is not helpful for the many who are disabled by it! Hust a thing that I seen sometimes.
With the zipper bracelets, since they use the same clasp style you could link two or more for increased length. It wouldn't allow a continuous zip of course, but it could fit around more areas that way.
Those wacky fidget toys seem like a good project to make a personalized resin back piece for. so the ball can't fall out. But I think the point of them is centripetal force Much like what you'd do with a bucket full of water hanging by a rope. The force of the rotations keep the ball in this case on the edge, rather then allowing it to fall through the middle.
That Globby thing reminds me of this toy that was very popular in my school when we had festivals and all that. It was very basic, you could do it yourself, and it was very cheap if you wanted to buy it. It was basically a balloon filled with cornstarch, you tied it closed, glued googly eyes on it and a patch of like hairy fabric, and you had a little stress reliever that looked like a derpy person. I am 100% sure Globby is filled with somehing like cornstarch, because it reminds me a lot of those things.
Omg I missed you Jackie I hope you have a great year! I'm happy your back and can you rec two videos a week ? Video idea: buying fidget toys and rating them with your sister!

The ones that had the marble you had to keep in the loop reminds me of those cat toys that were a circular tube with a ball inside it. Not gonna lie as a kid I think I enjoyed playing with those more than the cats did 🤣
Marbly ones also not child friendly. Yea, lets include something loose that looks like a boiled sweet but is just the right size to block a childs airway.

The marble spinning toys are totally what would have helped me calm down as a kid. I used to make my own kind with cups and lids, different types of balls, tried to see how fast or slow i could make it go. Things like that helped me get away from my own brain, it was fun to focus on something and see what could happen >
