It's likely possible that rather than just have Rarity decide to live on the farm with Applejack, Rarity can simply support Applejack in alternative ways by providing her clothing, farming accessories, decorations, spare gems she can give to Applejack so it can help significantly reduce the high costs of insurance for the farm & property damages, and even request for community support to improve her working conditions.
Honestly, looking back now AppleJack and Rarity do make the better couple. I like Appledash but I feel there are other ponies that Rainbow Dash could be shipped with and it would make a better couple.

I have the headcanon that rarity has ADHD/OCD, and this causes applejack to need to catch her attention and help her focus on the main trouble (like the books instead of the tree) while i believe applejack is in my book, neurodivergent, and sometimes needs help understanding that she needs to say things a little softer and accept the gray areas of situations (Like her opinion on fashion) and rarity helps her understand by either showing her similar perspective or certain consequences ( like her unable to focus on Applejack when she’s trying to catch her attention) I feel like they fit eachother a lot, while I do appreciate apple dash it just doesn’t feel the same and honestly kinda just feels like applejack is dating a different font of applejack, I’m not the biggest fan of rainbow so maybe I’m just biased.

I have the headcanon that rarity has ADHD/OCD, and this causes applejack to need to catch her attention and help her focus on the main trouble (like the books instead of the tree) while i believe applejack is in my book, neurodivergent, and sometimes needs help understanding that she needs to say things a little softer and accept the gray areas of situations (Like her opinion on fashion) and rarity helps her understand by either showing her similar perspective or certain consequences ( like her unable to focus on Applejack when she’s trying to catch her attention) I feel like they fit eachother a lot, while I do appreciate apple dash it just doesn’t feel the same and honestly kinda just feels like applejack is dating a different font of applejack, I’m not the biggest fan of rainbow so maybe I’m just biased.
