You can tell that the BBC had fallen out of love with the Grand National festival.
Its not difficult, for perfect coverage you need a camera on the landing side of Bechers looking back towards 1st and a camera on the landing side of the 12th looking back towards Valentines, hey presto television fans want to see whats going on behind the first half dozen, quirky camera angels do nothing to enhance the spectacle.

That did annoy me at the time. That stupid side-on camera boom that they started using in 2010 put the wings of Bechers in the way of the view. Passive aggressive production values from the BBC. What might they do to snooker coverage if some BBC airheads suddenly decide they don't like it? A ziplining camera that roves across the table in the middle of a shot?

Prefer their coverage to ITV, which appeals more to a lads Club 18-30 group.

At least the BBC focused on the horses ,not like ITV when it’s all about the personalities.

No idea mate. You can see how the BBC were scaling back their own cameras and just using the poorer-quality RUK feed. You def see that for the Becher Chase meeting at this time.

Wish they would take over the reins from ITV. Their coverage is dreadful.
