Coastal states get more private capital and fdi, due to port access, lower cost of logistics. Freight equalization policy helped bring minerals from mineral rich landlocked states with no added cost. Billions of revenue lost for those states. Leading to de industrialization due to such Government Incentives. The politics in South is not any better. Just that the investments by industries seeped into the economy which helped the government with revenue and invest in education and infrastructure.
Anywhere in the world coastal states are more industrialized and in turn more developed, its not restricted to India.
      Get off the high horse.
Slowly North will develop as well. Especially since this government has for the past 10 years focussed on infrastructure and industry developed in the North.

Im NOT in favour of India turning into Hindu State, but in democracy if thats the will of the majority, that that's how it should be... plus literally every country in the world today do this, in US we have evangelist imposing Christianity upon US public, in every Muslim majority country, islam influenced its civil courts, even in communist china many laws are still influenced by their moral code that came from their old beliefs...so why its a problem when Hinduism influencing india?

I can say with confidence India has always been a Hindu NATION and that by itself means that if India has a STATE chosen by people it will always be secular. Non-Indics do not understand a simple foundational error - hindu is a convenient and entirely wrong label put on some 350-400 different philosophies that have as much in common with themselves as they have with islam or christianity or any other single-book, single-preacher sect. If you ask 350-400 different groups pf people what kind of state functioning they'd like, the answer will always be 'neutral'. Trouble is in conflating state with nation in superficial analysis.

BJP was the largest party in the south in 2019 winning 30 seats in total. Why do you people keep saying that they are not doing great in South ? They are here for a long game unlike the crown Prince of Congress who ran away from his constituency of Uttarpradesh.
They will get more than 15% vote share in TN and Kerala and in 2029 that will increase much further, they are gonna breach the critical mass of 15% vote share after which people will be more confident that BJP can win and start to vote enmasse to them. You can just look at how BJP went from nothing to 18 seats in 2019 in West Bengal, now they are a formidable force there and will win more seats than the TMC.

Indian elections are way more complex than to make some damn documentary.
1- electoral bonds are peanut, this money is just used for organizing expense. The real expenses are mobilized by the candidates in respective constituency this is way more expensive considering the size of the country.(food, material, rallies) etc.
2- theres no such thing called south india like(korea, suda, africa) etc its just southern part of india. This is where BJP is weak(AP,TN, KL) they all have different aspects be it socially, economically and culturally it wouldn't be wise to say they dont resonate what other indians vote like. It could be interpreted that their locally party are way more stronger and intimidating in their grass root level so for a national party it is way harder to penetrate here. caste, language, economic and social structures to plays a role in electing government.I myself is from southern part of india.
3- manipur...this isnt some god damn popcorn time for propaganda. Whats happening there is real ethnical violence fueled with religion. Even if theres some xyz party in ruling still the violence would have happened due to hatred on each other. Foreign media has to keep theirs propaganda aside as they know little.
4-no one talks about why modi and the bjp keep winning the elections, the people aren't fools to vote for a government just for religion, temple, majority mindset etc. They see things being changed in their life positively. Though they are huge inflation and unemployment issues the people see difference in government policies and development without this a common man wouldn't be keep voting to a party if no one address it. Foreign media house might have your own set of agenda but the common voters is not going to get intimidated that easily.

The use the multiple fragmented small caste to make a formidable voter class which the country have seen before such an act. This is what making them win and along with other aspects. A small fraction of people vote to bjp due to hatred on minority. 37% was the vote share of bjp last general election, if everyone voted bjp due to hatred if that's the case of yours then the country would have long ago been in civil war and so called minority wouldn't have existed.

I can provide some information about the BJP party's achievements and policies, which some people might view as positive:
    1. Economic growth: BJP-led governments have implemented policies that have contributed to India's economic growth, such as liberalization and privatization.
    2. Infrastructure development: The BJP has invested in infrastructure projects like roads, highways, and public transportation, improving connectivity and facilitating economic growth.
    3. Social welfare schemes: The BJP has launched various social welfare schemes, such as the Ayushman Bharat healthcare program and the Jan Dhan Yojana financial inclusion initiative.
    4. National security: The BJP has taken a strong stance on national security, with a focus on defense modernization and counter-terrorism efforts.
However, it's essential to note that opinions about political parties are highly subjective and can vary greatly depending on individual perspectives and values. Some people might have differing views on the BJP's performance and policies. It's crucial to engage in respectful and informed discussions, considering multiple viewpoints and evaluating evidence-based information.

DMK never able win an election without Congress and Congress never able to win a seat alone without DMK. Most of the BJP supporters tend to vote for ADMK. 2024 election will be a trail for 2026 election. This election will show the strength of ADMK, BJP and PMK individually. What a biased journalism! You guys are portraying the ruling party as some kind of villain and opposition parties victims. Your propaganda peaked when you said Dravidian ideology is inclusive and Hindutva is extremist. In fact, in reality it's exactly opposite. And why have you covered only South India and Manipur? Why not North India? I think because it suits your agenda. BTW keep making such episodes which actually helps BJP get more votes. 👍

    • @samsam21amb
      @samsam21amb Месяц назад +1

I do see how this is biased, but I think the point of this video is show a different perspective of BJP rule (since so much of the media coverage is in the BJP’s favour (especially locally in India), even in Australia to some extent - where I live, hence why I’m watching the ABC), and display how voters are feeling in the more contentious & marginal states. Look, every political party/leader could be seen a villain or great leader, and I think a perspective challenging the main consensus is valuable - even if we don’t like it ourselves. And also, all the media praising Modi and writing about how great he and his coalition are, is also biased. (By that same logic)

@@samsam21amb I dont have a problem with showing the other side of the BJP(whatever is true and whatever they want to portray). My problem is the entire western media wants to brand Hindus as extremists which is absolutely absurd. The only reason I can think of this agenda is that ours is the only civilization that survived but all the other civilizations were absorbed because I cant think of any other indicator. Infact, our civilization gave the opposite of extremism that peace and tranquility via the means of Yoga, Meditation and many other spiritual practices.

@@Triple-S25I’m white, and live in Australia, I’m surrounded by western media all the time, and I can assure you, Hindus are not portrayed as extremist in any way - Muslims, the Chinese even Africans sometimes (as of recent, in Australia) are portrayed as extremist and bad people (even though they shouldn’t, no one minority, religion, or race should collectively be called extremist or bad, it’s terrible in my opinion). Hinduism is rarely talked about in western media, and nearly all the time, coverage is neutral, from my observations.

@@samsam21amb in Australia, I agree its less because they listen to what Salvatore Babones has to say about India but did u know there was a conference held in USA sponsored by 40+ universities and the title was “Dismantling Global Hindutva”. Now, the left would say Hinduism is different and Hindutva is different but in essence they are saying Hindutva (and/or RSS who have sticks in their hands) are extremist elements of Hindu religion and their website even states that “extremism happening in India” so how can it be global? Hindus never create any discomfort(to anyone) anywhere they go in world. We assimilate so silently into the receiving culture that it makes us practically invisible as a group. And why is there no effort or these kind of conferences held for fighting extremism in other religions. I agree that extremism anywhere is not acceptable.
