This is what I think of when I think cottage...it could even be an apt or a large home. It's organized maximalism, cozy is a must, casual, never pretentious, mixing of patterns and lots of textures. It's perhaps a little shabby, a little country, collections gathered over time, a place to put your feet up, grab a throw and a book and sit a while....a place where when visitors come they may want to stay a little longer....it's not a showroom or copied from a popular t.v. show...a place when you walk in the door one can exhale and say, '"I'm home."
