Hi from Ireland, I'm so incredibly lucky, I inherited my grandmother old rose tea set & of course the willow (blue) set... I absolutely love displaying them, but very secured as they are over 100 years old
So nice! Beautiful! Blue and white has always been my favorite. On your top shelf you have a cup and saucer in the Blue Danube pattern. I have a whole set of that China that I inherited from my aunt. I used it everyday and I have all the serving pieces out as decor on an antique shelf. But I used the plates and salad plates everyday. I am all about using Grandma's China, or in this case my aunt's, everyday. Don't save it for a special occasion but make every day a special occasion! Thanks for the inspiration.
I love it! I also put a piece of tape on the dishes and also on the back because I live in California and there are often earthquakes.

I too decorate my kitchen, dining room and living room ( they are all just one big space) with blue and white with a little bit of yellow so I love how your rooms look. Out here in California at the Home Depot stores they sell a product called “Quake Hold”, to help keep dishes and such from sliding off the shelves when we get a little Shaka-Shaka. It’s like a putty that you warm up in your hands then apply to the dish and stick the dish to the wall or shelf. It works great! I think it would work for you to keep your plates from falling down. Great deal on the mirror and table by the way!

As the blue plates have the liberty bell on them Ithink you should have a little flag in one of two of the vases. 6-14 is flag day so it would be great summer decor. Love the DIY on the plates. Thanks for sharing

This really inspired me because I inherited a huge collection of blue and white from my mom after she passed. Just wanted to throw in a tip in case you weren’t aware of it, but I use museum putty, which doesn’t take off your paint or damage your shelves and it holds your breakable pieces really strongly. When I lived in California, we called it earthquake putty. But I can’t live without it! It also helps to keep gallery walls from photos tipping. I get mine on Amazon and there’s several different kinds. Love what you did though! Gorgeous! 😍

That blue and white tea cup you put with the milk glass , I have one just like it. Got it sometime in the early 1990’s In Oklahoma.😃
The blue and white plate you showed at the thrift store is called Liberty Blue and the dishes all show scenes from American History. I have a big set that belonged to my grandmother. I still use it for special occasions but the cups are very fragile and easily broken. They are made in England and there is a similar set with English scenes on them. Your table setting is lovely!

I like this video it brings back memories from the '70s. That's when the concept first came out. You can also make a cut down the middle of two napkins and put two together and match the pattern. This would be treating it like wallpaper It might give you a more seamless finish. Also, you can iron paper napkins on low heat (no water in iron) to get rid of the fold line. I use to do a lot of this type of art and sold them.

@@MonicaRoseDecor Instead of having four pieces added to the side (because your napkin is small) you just use two making a seam down the middle. putting tow together on the back of the plate and butting two of them together in the middle.

Love the blue and white decor. I have a complete set of those Liberty Blue plates. They were collected over many years. I even found a covered bowl at the Chelsea flea Market in NYC for a few dollars
I also have the large white milk glass bowl with grapes on the side. I paid a quarter for it

Those DollarTree glass plates are wonderful to DIY with. I DIY'ed a footed bowl using a DT taper candle holder and cut glass bowl. I have copied your use of decorative aprons, they add a soft and flowy touch of pattern/color. I enjoy styling my dining table with a table-scape, it prevents it from becoming a chaotic dumping zone. Well done!
