They did this at the end of their set here in Texas last week. Trampled by Turtles came on stage and it was a big jam, it is one of the best concert moments I have ever seen. These guys absolutely crush it and I'm a huge fan now. Glad to find this and now I can jam with them, too, turned on my amp and let her rip right along with them. Epic!

I love to see Townes' songs done well by newer singers who appreciate the music. Another good one is Austin city limits with a bunch of singers. I love to see people who love Townes Van Zandt music. The best
I don’t know, depends on your mood. This is wonderful (big fan of DT and they do a “jam” on this w/o losing the thread, which is great and takes discipline), but this is happy and celebrate-y, whereas Townes’ is-like much of his stuff-right out at the true edge of things. So: both great, depends on what you came for.
