I actually had the pleasure of interviewing skybreak. He told me about how monstercat was what got him into the EDM genre. He expressed a huge desire to release on the label.5 months later, he’s released a phenomenal song on one of the things that made him who he is today. So happy for him ❤
It’s Skybreak, it’s gonna be amazing. This is my favorite Monstercat of the year so far, and Uncaged has had plenty of good ones this year. He’s just gonna improve in the coming years, and I can’t wait to see it.
you know, man’s come a long way ever since moonglow ep last year, I think he deserves it 1000%. Sure this song may not be my ideal cup of tea (besides that last drop HOOO BOY) but seeing someone who listened to monstercat music all those years ago finally get their shot on the label is deserving of a top 10 bo23 spot
I totally agree with you what that Monstercat/Skybreak statement it feels a little bit to monstercat for me like for example his Moonglow ep was phenomenal definitely had his style glow out throughout the ep especially Journeys End. But for this track it was missing out a ton of what we all know Skybreak for. It just seems that Monstercat or labels in general tone down tracks so it could fit their label so it doesn’t feel out of place or to different for the label. Anyways i would really love for you to talk about this since its a interesting phenomenon that occurs that each label has a unique sound they want for their labels. But still great track but just doesn’t hit the same.
