I am saving up for that E3 definitely!

Thanks for the review, Skeeb! For me, comfort is 50% of the listening experience. So, no matter how much the cost or how good it sounds, if it doesn't fit right then that's a quick pass for me!

Agreed. I'm sure some may get a better seal...but the way the spring works on the cup just seems too strong for the bottom. In fact, it seems I may be a minority on the seal problem now that I have looked into it further. Shame. I can't help my head shape though and apparently doesn't agree with the Liric 2.

The first Liric was almost an on-ear for me as I had fit issues as well. I’m starting to see a bunch of the Liric II on the secondary market so that’s not a great sign with such a new product. Great review as always!

Hard to say. I do see that happen often with new releases...people do the hype impulse buys. I've never done that before 😂

I liked the og LIRIC but did not get a chance to try this v2 at CJ NYC.

I disliked the original LIRIC, but that is due to directly comparing them with Mr. Dan "Speaker" Clark's E3.
I may try the new version later this month.

Nice one Ryan. Personally I've always found Meze stuff a bit overpriced/overrated. A+ for the Comfort and Design... but C+ for their Sound Signature's. When your top priority is comfort and looks and your HP's Sound is the secondary priority... Meze shouldn't be surprised when many in the HP Hobby don't even consider their stuff.

Unfortunately I have the same issue with not getting a seal. My glasses don’t help that either.

I'm seeing more people saying that. Sad thing is, it's not impossible to fix if they could lower the force of the spring so it stays in place better.

I have the same issue with bass, even though I made sure they seal perfectly. But to my ears the treble is an even worse problem, it's very sharp/stabby. Definitely not an enjoyable listen to my ears. Very sad because it has the perfect form factor for my use case, and I came in ready to purchase based on other reviews which describe it as perfect fit for my preferences. Definitely listen before buying.

I don’t have any seal problems with the Liric 2, even with glasses on. It’s curious that all other reviewers speak very highly of the bass response in these headphones, and the main criticisms are about the top end. I think you may have a defective unit, or the shape of your head doesn’t get along well with these headphones. I don’t really have any of the problems with the tracks you mention.

    • @Skeeb23
      @Skeeb23  3 месяца назад +2

Honestly that's good to know. I don't think the unit is defective, it could very well just be the seal with my head. This is why it's always recommended to get more than one perspective on a product.

@@Skeeb23I think the correct way to wear these headphones is further back than you have them in your video, and that might be the main issue. At least, that’s the way I put them on and I have no issues at all.

@@DragonciniI wish that would solve it. I spoke of it at the 3:34 mark. When I rotated back it would seal better but any movement of my head caused the headphone to move too. So...🤷

@@Skeeb23 It’s a pity that you’re having these problems. I also have the 109 Pro and was listening to the 1:20 mark of the song from London Grammar. It sounds similar to the Lyric V2 in that regard; I don’t feel what’s missing.
Anyway, thanks for your review. It seems honest, and at this price point, it’s better to audition first in a music store to avoid these kinds of problems.
That’s what I do, and for me, they are the best closed-back headphones on the market right now. They offer a different approach from the Dan Clark E3, which I don’t quite like (interesting and good sound but rather boring).
      Greetings from Spain :)
