In the novel, he says he has to travel to attend meetings that his boss doesn't want to go to, but I still don't see why he has to look at the crashed cars in order to do his job. Also in the book, Tyler is the one who calls the police when Marla tries to off herself, but in the movie it's never explained and it doesn't make a lot of sense for it to have been Tyler. Also, now that I think about it, it would make sense for Angel Face & Bob to get preferential treatment
