- A series of unfortuante events have led to Marge Simpson remarrying Homer's best friend, Lenny. Lenny = White. Carl = Black, incase you had a hard time remembering who was who. Everybody seems pretty happy in the end.

@@GribnikSToporomEh, I still think Homer was so depressed that he just gave up on plowing Bart (for now), but Bart still repressed the memory because Homer has been in his bed so many times that it still traumatizes him.
Marge was definitely feeling a lot of the buzz around Lenny.

Inanimate Carbon Rod saved my life, if anyone deserves Marge it's Inanimate Carbon Rod, he's a real one, and has remained close to me since the toilet incident, despite our obvious differences. I could never be Inanimate Carbon Rod, although I strive to be like him, I could go on for hours about how great he is, but he's so humble he hates people praising him. Honestly, I want him all to myself but I'll never be good enough, and I know that, whatever woman gets him is so lucky. I love you so much it hurts me Inanimate Carbon Rod.

Homer saved the town by stopping a nuke from blowing up Springfield in the movie that should have counted for something
And yet, it didn't
He also saved the town from nuclear destruction on the season three episode where he worries that he'll be outed as a fraud because it was a fluke and the season seven episode where he gains weight to work from home on disability.
The bank put Lenny in charge of the Simpsons household.

A much more compelling episode than a lot of 2009 regular Simpsons.
Bart suprecing memories makes sense considering all the Mr Plow moments.
Homer lost more than the remote that day.

Am I the only one disappointed that we didn't get a 4th of July themed 'Dark Simpsons' episode?
Yeah. There are a lot of scenes with fireworks and explosives on this show just begging for a Dark Simpsons episode that ends with the hard cut to the ambulance from the episode where Apu gets fired from the Kwik-E-Mart and lives with The Simpsons while James Woods becomes the new Kwik-E-Mart clerk.

@rikhardtanskanen Before James Woods was associated with Family Guy appearances, he guest starred on the season five episode "Homer and Apu", which is the episode (from 1994) where Apu loses his job and James Woods takes over as part of his research for a movie role.

Lisa is 12, Bart is 14, and Maggie is 4, but uses the pacifier as a crutch.

Lenny has simply become way too powerful and well connected ever since the buzz on him started to increase. He went from living in run down houses and eating beans to being able to turn someone into a human chimney sweep the second after that guy punched him. He is become histories greatest monster!
