Personally I run some planes walkers like Vivien Reid; Nissa, Who Shakes the World; and Vivien, Arkbow Ranger. Nissa adds value to making bigger hydras for less. Arkbow Ranger allows your creatures to fight and to get bigger and have trample for a turn. I also run a small package of mana dorks and leyline of abundance to get more counters on my creatures. The deck seems awesome though, keep up the good work👏.
Amazing!!! Been looking for some Gargos EDH decks and this is really impressively built. :) To note though, I don't think Gargos will trigger off of Evolutionary Escalation as it is an ability trigger, right?
You are correct! Gargos won't trigger. But! It should hopefully set you up for an unstoppable amount of counters that will make future fights completely one sided.
I liked the video and all but you have to match the graphics to what you're talkin about. The cards on the side of your face would pop up before or disappear before you mentioned them. Also you were talking about Gargos' fighting being triggered by abilities(like Evolutionary Escalation) , it's only triggered by spells
Love this video ive wanted a hydra deck edh deck forever. Deck list? Also i know you said those are your favourite hydras but i noticed you didnt mention broodmother i think is the name of it where ypu make it monstress that spawns the tokens just think if you had doubling season or even another token doubler or +x/+x doubler it would be broken or just taunt out a board wipe.
Starting off the build with alot of low costing instants and sorcery/enchantments that are defensive like "target creatures you control get +0/+5 and reach until end of turn" or "Deals 7 damage to target creature with flying" or 'Fog' from Core13...prevent all combat damage this turn (for 1 mana!) Since hydras cost alot to get on the board, I feel having some defensive cards will help until we can get them going...and I won't have flying creatures so I need the reach cards to block flying

@jolt539 last time I had Primordial Hydra out it was in my Atraxa +1/+1 counter deck. It was down to me and my buddy playing his Meren of Clan Nel Toth. My Hydra got up to being a 438/438 with Swiftfoot Boots, he had Spore Frog -_- I eventually got a Lighthouse Chronologist leveled up and won, but it was crazy.

I have an Hydra deck and the first thing I realized is that you need ramp ( a lot) or you will do nothing until play Gargos.
