The US desert Southwest is such a national treasure. It's sad that many of our fellow Americans have never seen these vistas up close much less at ground level. The scenery in this video was inspiring. Thanks for sharing this time with your son!
Beautiful -- great to see Dad and son doing things like this -- one for the history books and to be remembered forever , Your son will tell his buddies for the rest of his life what his DAD did for him. Well done and God Bless ! ! !
In the 50s and 60s I was frequently a passenger on piston planes, from 172s to Constellations, but mostly DC-3s. I always enjoyed the customary run-ups before takeoff. Two or four big radials at full throttle for a few seconds we’re awesome.
Ryan that was just sensational. Brilliantly videoed and edited including the music. I could feel the emotion that you experienced and so special that you were able to share it with your son.
Brilliant! The canyon flying is superb and so well edited and produced. Truly the stuff of dreams - a wonderful experience for you and Chaucer to hold dear in the future.
Really liked the video. Chaucer was enjoyable to hear. Sounds like he was having fun. The scenery was great. Memories forever. Take care and god bless.
Always so much fun riding along with you.. No doubt in my mind your son will remember that trip forever. It's really nice to see you get to spend quality time with your family too. As always thanks for bringing us along and I'll see you in the next video brother.
The majestic beauty of the area around your campsite was quite a contrast to the lush mountain ranges of PNG. I am glad you and your son were able to share the experience with us.
That was fantastic Ryan, lovely to see father and son bonding! Amazing adventure to share with Chaucer and what a beautiful place to camp and have a fly around👌
Every time I see views like that of those canyons out west it is humbling to contemplate how much time it took for nature to create them. Seems impossible. If you went back something that seems a long time to us, say 250,000 years, it wouldn't look any different. You would need hundreds of millions of years. Beautiful images.
Love this new format of "adventures with your son"...it reminds me the ones i got with my daughter and my plane when she was here with me. For sure i gave her something unique between us. Congrats
Wonderful! This just may be your best video in the US to date! Those strobes look great. Very jealous of the terrain for your in flight videos. Doesn’t get any better especially with the sunset! Surprised your tail camera doesn’t get layered with dust! Great editing and I know the time it takes! Cheers!
This video got me smiling big time, amazing views and adventures. I'm happy for you guys and Thank you so much for sharing this Ryan, I needed to see this right now! 🙏
Ryan, I hate to see you sell the kit fox but it was a joy to see you enjoy and modify the aircraft while you owned it. I can't wait to see you back on mission in Pau Pau New Guinea this year.
Absolutely loved this video, very lucky young man and congratz on achieving your dream and being able to pass it along to your son at the same time. Not gonna lie heart string were jerked watching the canyon flight.
I really liked the comment about having your own personal mini Grand Canyon. I live in southern Nevada and I travel as often as I can around Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. I've started avoiding the national parks in favor of the state parks. Go to a place like Moab and the national parks are PACKED with people. There are stories of people having to wait hours to get into Arches NP. But if you go up into the hills, you can visit Deadhorse State Park and many times be one of the only persons there!
Ryan, what can one say but, Wow! If I recall correctly your youngest son is (was) not that comfortable flying so it’s great that you could have this very precious moment together. Awesome adventure, great editing and music, one of your best videos for sure.
Maybe the concrete pad was part of the old concrete arrows that were used as beacon stations, but the arrow part is no longer there??? It’s weird that there’s a concrete slab out in the middle of no where. Great video and such great memories made with your son!
Cool video! A guy I went to high school with does this sort of thing (camping/picnicking) in his 1958 Cessna 182A. He is a retired commercial pilot. Thanks for the video!
Wow. Visited that place in 2019. Didn't see a soul around, and the runway looked abandoned 😂. One of the most remote places in the region. Very beautiful and humbling.
Watching this made me so incredibly happy, getting to see you fulfill a dream with your son makes me want to do the same with mine some day! Blessings on you and this summer as you head back to PNG!
You just gave your son something he will always remember.
Memories that your son will cherish the rest of his life. Great job dad I just know your son is very proud of you. God bless you and your family 🙏❤
Nothing better than being a father. It's truly the best thing that can happen.
I love to see the dad & son relationship, sharing the love of aviation❤

The duo of dad and kiddo was great.😍😍

As a father I can say this is a great project and a great trip!

WOW! The flight, the scenery, the music, and the variety of shots were excellent!
Ryan that was just sensational. Brilliantly videoed and edited including the music. I could feel the emotion that you experienced and so special that you were able to share it with your son.
You would LOVE Idaho for small dirt strips and air camping !
I know, that was the original plan and just ran out of time
Beautiful...it is always good to get to camp out with your son, memories that won't be forgotten! Take care and stay safe.
The Southwest is so beautiful! Thank you!

Fun! Fun! Fun! What spectacular scenery, and I bet the stars were amazing at night, sittin’ by the campfire… 💛
Great Video Ryan, you gave your young Co-Pilot some brilliant memories!

The best part of this was the adventure and memories made with your son. What better than an aviation adventure.
