Human-centred design (HCD) has a long history of successful practice across the globe. It is used by NGOs to respond to messy problems like gender equality and reproductive health; by software developers to design user-friendly applications; by top-end creative agencies to envision new products.
It is time for Africa to become intentional about an HCD approach to design and engineering of all our public infrastructure.
